    Tacha explains decision to relocate to UK

    Former Big Brother Naija star Tacha has shed light on her recent move to the United Kingdom.

    Speaking in an interview with Madame Joyce, she revealed that her relocation was driven by a desire to explore new opportunities after achieving significant success in the Nigerian market.

    Tacha highlighted the limited financial prospects within Nigeria’s influencing space as a major factor in her decision.

    However, she clarified that the move does not signify an end to her business engagements in Nigeria.

    Instead, she views the relocation as a step toward accessing better opportunities for financial and professional growth.

    The reality TV star emphasized her commitment to maintaining connections with the Nigerian market while pursuing a broader global vision for her career.

    Tacha said: “I relocated to the UK because I have conquered the whole of the Nigerian market. Relocating to the UK doesn’t mean I’m not going to do Nigerian deals. If the offer is good, why not?

    “The influencing scene in Nigeria looks so beautiful, but behind the scenes, it’s not as beautiful as it seems because the money is poor. Someone would pay you N6 million, that’s around $3,000, for you to influence for six months and post two videos a month.

    “The fee was the same when I left the Big Brother Naija show in 2019, but it made sense then. At least, you could book a plane ticket with it. But right now, $3,000 is nothing. N6 million seems good, but when you have to convert it to dollars, travel abroad, and spend money to look good, there’s nothing left.”

    In a recent interview with Madame Joyce, Tacha referred to Nicki Minaj as her “mother,” showcasing her deep respect and admiration for the artist.

    She also revealed that she was nicknamed Nicki Minaj during her school days.

    “I’m obsessed with Nicki Minaj. She’s everything and more. She’s someone I look up to. Nicki is my mother! Anybody hating on her loves her deep down, they are just pretending.

    “I’m Nicki’s biggest fan. Nicki is my mother. People used to call me Nicki Minaj back then in school,” she stated.

    Reality TV star and media personality, Natacha Anita Akide, aka Tacha, has said she is getting tired of Nigerian boys.

    According to her, Nigerian men treat Nigerian women unfairly.

    During her appearance on the Big Friday Show on Cool FM, Lagos, the reality star-turned-OAP revealed her newfound interest in South African men.

    She engaged her guest, Yvonne Godwin, who is in a relationship with fellow BBTitans reality star Juicy Jay from South Africa, in a discussion about the experience of dating someone from South Africa.

    Yvonne: “I don’t see the country with him [Juicy Jay] because he is just different. He makes it easy. The fact that he tries to learn Nigerian lingo. He also tries Nigerian delicacies.

    “He is very open-minded. He makes it [dating] so easy. He is very caring. He takes his time. People don’t take their time to know me but he really took his time to know me. And he loves me so much, I know that.”

    Reality star Tacha has tackled Nigerians on what she described as ‘selective outrage’ following the trending internet topic, bullying.

    Her criticism followed a video capturing the bullying of a student by her classmates at Lead British International School in Abuja circulated online.

    Angered by the outrage that followed the video, Tacha lambasted Nigerians for being hypocrites.

    On her platform X, she uploaded a video where she criticized social media users, emphasizing that many of those advocating for justice in the prominent bullying incident were also prone to swift criticism and may have exhibited bullying behaviour during their own secondary school days.

    She said: “This thing with Nigerians and selective outrage is something that I would never understand. All of a sudden everyone is acting brand new screaming ‘justice for…’ since yesterday and today, as if you guys were not bullies back in secondary school. Or as if you guys did not watch your friend bully junior students for doing absolutely nothing or seizing their food.

    “You people wake up and bully celebrities unprovoked and insult them and nobody says anything. Is that not bullying? Are you not bullies yourselves? Justice for you! Don’t come and be disturbing this timeline with justice for…’”

    The influencer who was recently called out for pouring a fake drink from an expensive bottle of wine, slammed the troll.

    In a recent post via Instagram, the 28-year-old shared some adorable photos, radiating happiness with a wide smile.

    While many showered Tacha with words of adoration, some of her followers appeared to dampen her spirits.

    “Age is ageing,” a troll wrote in reply.

    In response, the reality star lambasted the troll stating, “Ageing is a beautiful thing dumbo.”

    Big Brother Naija reality show star, Natacha Akide, popularly called Tacha, has described the feminism practised in Nigeria as witchcraft.

    The radio host said this in her latest interview while addressing her fight with Twitter’s Mummy Zee.

    The Nation reported that Tacha had earlier in an interview on her colleague, Phyna’s podcast, spoken about Mummy Zee, who became popular for waking up by 4:30 am daily to cook for her husband.

    A social media user had mentioned to Mummy Zee that Tacha was insulting her on a show and Mummy Zee responded; “that one wey no get sense.”

    Reacting to her, Tacha, who found the woman’s comment disrespectful, went hard on her in a series of social media posts.

    However, addressing the controversy during her trending interview with popular media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Tacha denied the X user’s accusation, stating that she was defending Mummy Zee on the show.

    While also explaining her own feminism, Tacha described that of Nigeria as witchcraft.

    “So, I was literally praising this woman on my show, saying why was feminist trolling her because I love feminist then.

    “I was like the feminism you people practiced in Nigeria is witchcraft because when you are supposed to come out you people won’t come out but for the wrong things you just hate men in general. That’s not what I practised.”

    Big Brother Naija reality star Natacha Anita Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has spoken about her relationship and how she is a full ‘package’. 

    She said contrary to popular assumptions that she is high-headed, she stated she wakes up at 2 am to cook noodles for her partner.

    She disclosed this in a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo.

    The reality star said she and her partner could be planning a wedding and the public won’t know.

    Tacha said: “We [me and my partner] could be planning a wedding and you wouldn’t know unless I say otherwise.

    “I wake up at 2 am to make noodles for him. I would ask him, what do you want to eat? And in my head I’m like, ‘People would be like Oh God this Tacha on social media.’ And maybe there’s a fight between us, I will tell him, ‘People will think I am the problem but you know you’re the problem.’ Because I’m super nice.

    “I do have someone I love and cherish. And most importantly, he understands me. So, even when people are constantly saying, ‘Oh who’s going to settle down with this one?’ I’m like, ‘If your daddy sees me, he’s going to love me.’ He’s going to want me because I’m tall, dark-skinned, cute, and most importantly, I’m beauty with brains.”
