Host of TVC’s morning show “Your View,” Morayo Afolabi-Brown, has bid an emotional farewell to the programme after over a decade.
Her final appearance was marked with glowing tributes from fans, co-anchors and guests, who praised her impact, excellence and humility.
A woman in the UK also shared a heartfelt message, describing how watching the show helped her cope with loneliness after relocating abroad, and crediting Morayo as a source of comfort and connection.
During the farewell, Morayo reflected on her next steps, stating that she would first take time to rest before embarking on a new venture.
She expressed gratitude to everyone she met through the show, acknowledging its impact on women’s lives and its inspiration for similar programs.
She said: “This assignment on Your View is now complete. My first step is to rest and hibernate before embarking on my next venture.
“The show has given many women a voice and inspired other similar programmes. I am deeply grateful to everyone I met through this journey,” she said.
Morayo’s departure from TVC Communications was confirmed earlier, with the network stating that she would be pursuing a long-held passion project.
The company acknowledged Morayo’s significant contributions to the growth and success of “Your View,” assuring viewers that the show would continue to maintain its quality and relevance despite her departure.
As Morayo embarks on this new chapter, she leaves behind a legacy of excellence and inspiration, having spent 12 remarkable years hosting “Your View” and redefining broadcasting with her unique touch.
Former host of the popular morning show on TVC ‘Your View’ Morayo Afolabi- Brown has opened up about her struggles with depression and past controversies.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Morayo expressed struggles during her 12 years as the host of Your View.
The media personality revealed that at one point in her life, she battled depression so deeply that she contemplated suicide.
“I was depressed. It got so bad that I thought I was suicidal. I just left everything. I remember just walking on the express, hoping a car would hit me. It was that bad,” she said.
Speaking on her decision to step away from Your View, Morayo explained that by the 10th anniversary of the show, she already knew it was time to move on.
“It was when we were 10 years old that I knew it was time to go to the next thing. I’ve been harbouring that thought for a while, but I just didn’t know to what or to wear, you know. But I think last year, I got that light bulb moment,” she revealed.
She also recounted the time she was fired from TVC due to political issues but her identity was later clarified by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“People now called Asiwaju, do you know whose child was sacked? He said, I’m not aware. He said, This is the Alao Aka- Bashorun’s daughter. That’s when he knew it was me,” she recalled.
The broadcaster addressed some of her biggest controversies when she openly supported Tinubu during the 2023 elections.
She also explained her initial criticisms of former Anambra Governor, Peter Obi, were due to lack of knowledge.
“It was because I did not know him. After I made that comment, people called me and said, ‘Morayo, do you realise that when he was governor, he actually served us?’ So that was him. I said, ‘Oh, I did not know.’ ,” she confessed.
Another major scandal she reflected on was the backlash after an on-air conversation led to accusations that she had called her husband a pedophile.
According to her, it took the intervention of the First Lady to help her make amends and apologise to her husband publicly.
Her exit from Your View marked the end of a 12-year journey.
Managing Director of TVC Entertainment and host of the widely acclaimed talk show ‘Your View’, Morayo Afolabi-Brown, has announced her resignation from TVC Communications after twelve impactful years of service.
In a statement released by the company’s public relations manager, Edward Akintara, Morayo’s decision to step down was attributed to her desire to fully commit to a passion project she has long nurtured.
TVC Communications described her departure as a bittersweet moment, celebrating her remarkable contributions to the network, her role in shaping ‘Your View’, and the positive influence she has had on viewers across Nigeria and beyond.
While acknowledging her exit, the company assured audiences that ‘Your View’ will continue to deliver the same high editorial standards, compelling conversations, and audience engagement it has become known for.
Morayo’s legacy at TVC, the statement noted, will remain indelible, and she will always be regarded as a valued member of the TVC family.
Her final day with the organisation will be Thursday, August 29, 2025. TVC wished her continued success and fulfilment in her next chapter and called on the public and media to extend their support and respect as she begins a new journey.
“TVC Communications, owner of TVC News, TVC Entertainment, Max FM, Adaba FM, and Yanga FM, would like to confirm that Morayo Afolabi-Brown, MD TVC Entertainment and host of our flagship all-women’s TV show, Your View, has formally tendered her resignation from TVC Communications. Her last working day will be Thursday, 29th August 2025.
“Morayo’s decision to step down after 12 remarkable years as host of Your View is driven by her desire to pursue a long-held passion project that she has nurtured over time. We celebrate her for the incredible impact she has made, not only on Your View but also to millions of viewers across Nigeria and beyond.
“Morayo will be dearly missed; however, the show remains strong and will continue to deliver the quality and relevance our audience has come to expect.
“We thank Morayo for her years of service, impact and inspiration, and we wish her the very best in this new and exciting chapter. We are confident that her legacy at TVC Communications will endure, and she will always remain a cherished member of the TVC family.

Reflecting on the three-fold inspiration behind the book, Ajayi emphasized its relevance for women, corporations, and society at large.
“I wrote ‘The Precision-Led Woman’ to remind the world that women are competent and able to lead industries, formulate policies, and champion causes,” she stated. “For corporations, the world needs more women in leadership to bridge the gender inequality gap and ensure that decisions are made with diversity and inclusivity in mind.”

Indeed, statistics have shown that having more women in leadership positions is not just a matter of equality but also makes good business sense. In today’s dynamic professional environment, aspiring women leaders must equip themselves with the strategies and mindset necessary to navigate the path to success. This is where the concept of precision-led leadership comes into play.
“Being a Precision-led woman means knowing where you want to go as a leader and taking consistent action to get there,” Ajayi explained. “In today’s corporate settings, precision is essential, and this book provides a roadmap tailored to each individual’s ambitions, strengths, and circumstances.”
