    VeryDarkMan, IyaboOjo’s 14-day drama

    While it lasted, it was content for so many content creators online as they feasted on the brickbats between Martin Vincent Otse aka VeryDarkBlackman and actress-cum producer Iyabo Ojo.

    It is not known who first decided to end the crisis between them but they made different posts saying they would no longer respond to themselves but focus on their type of activism. VDM, however, posited that he is not an activist but he condemns what is bad.

    Now that they have decided to continue in the path both are known for, many are wondering if they would end the Mohbadd case which began their disagreement and snowballed into a full blown free for all, and hopefully bring closure to the matter.

    It is left to be seen how this matter would pan out.

    In the meantime, feelers reaching us have confirmed that Tunde Ednut has stopped posting VDM’s videos on his Instagram page.

    During the brickbat, Ednut asked VDM to apologise to Obi Cubana over his ‘insult’ to the billionaire who made a veiled reference to VDM on his issue with Iyabo Ojo. VDM blatantly refused and told Ednut to stop posting his contents.

    Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti has responded to Iyabo Ojo’s allegations that he was enabling VeryDarkMan’s online antics.

    Kuti denied being a “confusionist,” stating that his issue lies with Ojo using her influence to arrest VeryDarkMan, rather than their social media feud.

    He further challenged Ojo, daring her also to come and arrest him.

    In a video message shared via his Instagram account, Kuti said: “I’m not a ‘confusionist’. And there was no time I opposed you fighting VeryDarkMan. I only said you shouldn’t be locking people up.

    The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has refuted a report that Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as Verydarkman has been arrested.

    The police said he was only invited for questioning on the allegations of cyber stalking, cyber bullying and defamation of character.

    In a statement, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said Verydarkman has since been released after voluntarily giving his statement on the allegations.

    Adeh said: “Contrary to the news making the rounds about the alleged arrest of Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as Verydarkman or VDM by the police, the FCT police command wishes to clarify that Verydarkman was not arrested by the police but was only invited for questioning on the allegations of cyber stalking, cyber bullying and defamation of character.

    “He has since been released after voluntarily giving his statement on the allegations.”

    A statement issued on Sunday, June 30, by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh said Verydarkman has since been released after voluntarily giving his statement on the allegations.

    Adeh said: “Contrary to the news making the rounds about the alleged arrest of Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as Verydarkman or VDM by the police, the FCT police command wishes to clarify that Verydarkman was not arrested by the police but was only invited for questioning on the allegations of cyber stalking, cyber bullying and defamation of character. 

    “He has since been released after voluntarily giving his statement on the allegations.”

    Controversial critic, Verydarkman, has refused to apologise or delete a post criticising Obi Cubana, a billionaire businessman, despite pressure from Tunde Ednut, a blogger and mutual friend.

    Verydarkman blasted Obi Cubana for warning blogs against posting younger individuals who disrespect their elders, stating that Obi Cubana doesn’t help youths in society.

    Tunde Ednut tried to mediate, asking Verydarkman to delete the post for peace but Verydarkman refused, saying he’d rather die than apologise or delete it.

    He also threatened to post chats from anyone who tries to intervene on behalf of Obi Cubana, stating that he only worships his ancestors and God, not money or men. 

    “With all due respect @mazitundeednut I know l’m not supposed to post this but at this point this is a warning that anybody that calls me in respect of anyone I will post your chats, it’s crazy how the world didn’t drag tunde ednut when their billionaire threw his shot but when I responded una start to drag the innocent man,anyways if anybody needs an apology the person should apologize to me first…

    “I don’t worship money,I don’t worship man,I worship my ancestors and God……peace out ALUTA CONTINUA,” he wrote.

    Singer Portable has responded angrily to VeryDarkMan’s comments about his benefactor, Obi Cubana.

    VeryDarkMan had criticised Obi Cubana for not speaking out on important issues and for his lavish spending.

    However, Portable defended Obi Cubana, stating that he has benefited from his association with him, including an N50 million ambassadorial deal with Odogwu Bitters.

    Music producer Samklef has criticised Davido for inviting controversial activist Verydarkman (VDM) to his traditional wedding, referring to VDM as an “ex-convict.”

    Samklef expressed his disapproval on his X account, stating that Davido’s decision tarnished the celebratory atmosphere of the wedding and suggested that not everyone should be seated among the elite.

    “Davido wedding hype wey suppose last for 1 week. Marriage is about love! This poor man pikin just ruined it. No be everybody Dem suppose to invite come big men table. Now poor dirty man pikin wey get nothing loose don Dey dirty rich man white come even pour San san for their table,” Samklef said.

    He implied that such a situation would never occur at Wizkid’s wedding and called it “very embarrassing.”

    “This kind of negativity no fit happen for Wizkid wedding or occasion. No be every dirty dem Dey carry along he go stain your white. Very embarrassing. Ex-convict,” Samklef added.
