Why I’m most abused politician after Tinubu by Wike

    …minister faults Fubara’s inaugurated projects

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Chief Nyesom Wike, has described himself as the most abused politician in the country today after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Minister also declared on Saturday that from January 2026 politics will start in Rivers State.

Wike spoke during a special thanksgiving service organised by the Chairman, South-South Development Commission (SSDC) and former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Prince Chibudom Nwuche at his Ochiba country home in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State on Saturday.

The former Rivers state governor declared his unwavering stance in support for President Tinubu, insisting that he never reneged on any agreement he entered into.

Wike used the opportunity of the thanksgiving to commend the people of Ahoada East and Ahoada West councils  for backing  him to support the President.

He said,  “This is the first local government we are coming to say thank you for being there for us all through these years

“You know, like the pastor said today, God detaste those who are ungrateful. And so for what you’ve done for us, for standing with us, we say thank you. Thank you, and thank you.

“You remember, in 2023, when it was tough, nobody knows what will happen in that election. Somebody was saying that it will be difficult for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to win that election.

“So many people were not able to come and vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. But we all met, as leaders here, and you, to say in politics, we must take a stand and defend. That we must take a decision, whether it is good or bad.

“But we know at the end of the day it will be  good. But we did it. When it was tough, for people to say, on your mandate we stand. We stood firm and said on your mandate we stand and to the glory of God, we stood.

“And today he is the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

He thanked the people for standing firm, saying, “So you are the ones who made the mandate to be strong as far as Rivers State is concerned.”

Wike condemned persons, who could not stand on Tinubu’s mandate when it was tough to do so but suddenly defected to his party at rosy period to declare support for the president.

He said, “So all these people you are now seeing singing on your mandate we stand, that time, when they were needed most, they couldn’t sing that. They couldn’t come out to say, vote for Ahmed Bola Tinubu

“Now that you stood and voted for him, and even said, woman, I tell you, all your struggle will not go in vain. So we have come to tell you to remain strong.

“Nigerians know us. When we take a decision, we have taken a decision. We don’t take decision based on what people have seen.

“We take a decision based on what we are convinced. We believe that this will happen. You stood firm even when you were not in power. You stood firm even when you were not in council.

“You were harassed. You said, no, no despite the harassment, I will still stand where I am. So for us, it will be unfair that we cannot come and tell you, thank you.

“You know me, I believe in agreement. Anything you know you cannot do, don’t say it, don’t even enter into it. From January next year politics will start.

“Nobody can use us. So let me say yes and agree later. No, I can’t do that.Whatever you have agreed in the morning, it was agreed in the night. So, don’t be worried yourself about who was shouting or your mandate will start. We have shouted when it mattered most.

“If we did not shout it then would they shout now? Would they have shouted now? I have never hidden my position. Nigerians know. And you can attest to it.

“We have never wavered in support of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. If you want to know after Bola Tinubu, the next most abused politician is me. Why are they abusing me? Because they know agreement is what?

“When we have agreed on something, let’s implement it. If you cannot implement it, don’t even come to reach it. So for us, we have decided before now, long ago, that we must make sure we continue to support Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

“That is the position you took. And that is the position we are going to continue to take. So on behalf of our team we want to thank you, our foot soldiers who have stood firm in spite of all provocations.”

Wike said some politicians in the home front, who went to get something from the governor, resorted to abusing and casting aspersions at him.

He also said most of the projects inaugurated recently by his successor had reached advanced stage and handed over to him in the spirit of continuity

He said, “At the appropriate time, we will talk. This project you commissioned who handed it over to you? We did it because we believe are a team.

“If we know that we will not be a team, we would not have done it. But we did it, and we have no regrets. I have no regrets

“One thing you should know about Nigerian politics. You know, there is a universal state every time. How you can make money now for a universal state is like that. You go and say, this enough is enough for Wike.

“Who deal with Wike, they drop (dish out money)  If you don’t say you will deal with Wike, you won’t get him. I hear we have about  N600billion somewhere.

“So just say we will deal with Wike

The moment you pronounce that word, something will come down, ” the FCT said in a mocking tone.

Earlier,  Nwuche explained that the people of Ekpeye Kingdom would continue to support Wike, for  the numerous projects he attracted to the area while he was Governor.

He said, “For the first time, Ekpeye had seven first-class stools. Before now, we only had one. Governors came and left. None of them agreed to elevate our stools. Only him (Wike) did that for us.

“So, I’ve seen people who have used power wrongly. They forget that there’s karma. And that’s why I say Nigerians should be careful in choosing leadership. We know our leaders very well. Ask us about them.

“There are many of them who came into leadership by accident. They have no business being there because they have no human feelings.”

He said people, who found themselves in power should use it to elevate the people and better their lots and “not to oppress them, to break their homes and go. “

He said, “Nobody who follows Wike can say that he hasn’t been impacted on positively. Nobody. That’s why you see, no matter where he goes, we shall go there. “

He said 60 to 70 per cent of the ongoing school renovations in the FCT will be completed by the first quarter of 2026, leading to a series of project commissioning events.

Hayyo said, “What the minister is doing now, definitely, no state in the federation is doing it. Over 100 schools have been completely renovated.

“Some projects are ongoing; some renovations have been completed. If you go to some of our schools, you just feel that yes, you are in London, France, or Germany, while you are in an FCT school.

“60 to 70 per cent of our school renovations will be completed by the first quarter of 2026, leading to a series of project commissioning.”

The mandate secretary also used the opportunity to reaffirm his 100 per cent loyalty to the minister after his reinstatement.

He expressed gratitude to the minister for recalling him and outlined his agenda for the Education Secretariat, focusing on staff training, school safety, and continuing infrastructural development.

Hayyo affirmed his commitment to the minister’s agenda, stating his belief that all the transformation agenda of the FCT minister will continue from where they stopped.

He said, “I want to tell you, yes, my loyalty to the FCT Minister is 100%.”

When asked about reforms following his return, Hayyo emphasized continuity with the Minister’s transformation agenda.

On preventing a recurrence of the incident that led to his suspension, understood to be an unauthorized communication from a director, he announced an immediate priority of ‘Refresher Training.’

“We have to embark on Refresher Training to make sure all the new directors that were just appointed, and even the other directors, undergo a series of training.

“Let them know their mandate, what they are supposed to do, how they are supposed to do it, and which area they need to consult their superior officers,” he said.

He explained that the incident due to a director’s overreach, as a director cannot just write something and circulate it without his approval and without the approval of the minister.

On the critical issue of school safety, the mandate secretary offered strong assurances to parents and teachers.

“All the FCT schools are very safe. We don’t have any security threats in FCT schools,” he said.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has reinstated the Mandate Secretary for Education, Danlami Hayyo, and the Acting Executive Chairman of the FCT Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS), Michael Ango.

This was made known in a statement on Wednesday by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Minister of Public Communication and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.

Recall that Wike had ordered the indefinite suspension of the FCT Mandate Secretary of the Education Secretariat following the controversial FCT School-closure notice issued without ministerial approval.

According to him, the administration never took such a decision and had no security threat that warranted a system-wide shutdown.

While that of the Internal Revenue Service chairman, Michael Ango, was given without any reason.

The Minister, who warned that acts of indiscipline will not be tolerated among officials of the FCTA, directed Dr Danlami Hayyo and Michael Ango to resume duty with immediate effect.

  • I will provide more infrastructure in FCT – Wike

I will provide more infrastructure in FCT – Wike

Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has vowed to continue to provide quality infrastructure in the nation’s capital.

Wike gave the assurance at the weekend during the presentation of the ‘Nigeria Infrastructure Minister of the Year’ Award to him by Indigenes of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) under the auspices of the Karu Gbagyi Development Association (KAGBADA).

Wike, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Chris Amadi, commended the association for identifying with his work in Karu and the entire FCT and for honouring him with an award.

He also appreciated the people of Karu and their leaders for supporting his infrastructural development efforts in the area and promised to provide more infrastructure to improve their lives.

The chairman of KAGBADA, Mr Sumner Shagari Sambo, while speaking at the presentation of the award at the Jummai Aduda Youth Centre in Karu, said the honour was in recognition of the minister’s transformative projects in Abuja’s satellite towns.

He praised the FCT minister for initiating unprecedented infrastructure development in outer-city districts, stating, “FCT indigenes had never witnessed huge infrastructure developments all at once in outer city districts and satellite towns like those currently being undertaken under the administration of the current minister and President Bola Tinubu.

“We decided to honour FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for the great infrastructure projects extended to our community, such as the completed rehabilitation of the Nyanya-Karu-Jikwoyi-Karshi Highway, which is currently easing traffic in the Karu Chiefdom, the completed Kugbo Bus Terminal, Kugbo International Market, and other notable projects,” he said.

The organization also used the event to disburse N4 million in scholarship funds to indigent students studying in secondary and tertiary institutions in the area, and N3 million to women petty traders, an initiative aimed at empowering them to engage in trade and become self-reliant.

Sambo said the association decided to disburse the scholarships and empower petty traders as a way of giving back to society, noting that the gesture was part of the association’s end-of-year 2024 activities.

According to him, the association designed three programmes comprising scholarships, women’s empowerment, and support for artisans, stressing that people cannot continue to depend on the government alone.

The KAGBADA chairman also appealed to the FCT Administration to relocate the abattoir, which poses a health hazard to residents of Karu and its environs.

“The abattoir in Karu is located in the middle of the community and has continued to pose a serious health hazard to residents due to its unhygienic state,” he said.

He urged the FCT Administration to upgrade the Karu General Hospital, built in 2006 by former FCT minister, Mal. Nasir El-Rufai, which he said has not been functional.

Sambo explained that most patients go to Asokoro and Maitama General Hospitals to seek medical treatment.

Also, the former Senate Minority Leader of the 9th Assembly, Senator Philip Aduda, stressed the need for unity among the indigenous people of Karu and other residents, stating that society can develop when there is unity among people irrespective of tribe, religion, or ethnic affiliations.

  • Wike at 58: No regret supporting President Tinubu

Wike at 58: No regret supporting President Tinubu

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Saturday said he has no regrets for openly supporting President Bola Tinubu since 2022.

Wike maintained that his position has remained consistent before, during and after the 2023 presidential election.

The Minister, who spoke at a special event organised to mark his 58th birthday anniversary, said his political decisions are guided by the principles of character and integrity, adding that he never concealed his support for Tinubu from the outset.

He recalled that during the build-up to the 2023 presidential election, he was the only leading figure from the main opposition party, who openly declared support for President Tinubu, a decision he said was based on equity, fairness and justice, as well as his conviction that power should shift to the South.

According to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA), Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, the minister further argued that his leadership capacity was demonstrated in Rivers State during the elections, where the All Progressives Congress (APC) won the presidential poll while the PDP secured victories in the National Assembly, governorship, State House of Assembly and local government elections under his watch.

At the birthday event held in the wee hours of today, in Wike’s residence in Abuja, leaders from different political divides gathered to celebrate the achievements and political impact of the former Rivers State Governor and current FCT Minister.

In attendance were National Assembly lawmakers from Rivers State, serving and former members, members of the Rivers State House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Martins Amaewhule, chairmen of local government areas, as well as close friends and political associates.

Speakers took turns to extol the virtues of the Minister, describing him as an achiever and astute politician whose impacts are visible across the country, urging him not to relent and assuring him of their continued support.

Rivers State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairman, Ambassador Desmond Akawor, described the FCT Minister as the “naked wire” of Rivers politics.

Akawor, who is the ex-Director-General of Nyesom Wike’s 2015 governorship campaign, said Wike’s feat had shown that President Bola Tinubu picked the right product from the PDP to work with.

Also, Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule, who led 27 members of the House of Assembly to Wike’s residence, thanked the Minister for being a leader with a strong shoulder for everyone to lean on.

He promised the continued loyalty and support of the Assembly members to him, saying; “Wherever our leader (Wike) goes, we will follow him, whoever he is supporting, we will also support.”

Chairman of Port Harcourt City Local Government and River State Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon. Allwell Ihunda, who spoke on behalf of Local Government Chairmen, extolled Wike’s virtues, describing as a consistent and compassionate leader.

Others who spoke were Chairman of the PDP National Caretaker Committee, Mohammed Abdulrahman, PDP Board of Trustees Chairman, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, PDP National Vice Chairman (South South), Chief Dan Orbih, his All Progressives Congress counterpart, Hon Victor Giadom,

former Governor of Abia State, Dr Okieze Ikpiazu, Senator (Prof) Sandy Onor, Senator Magnus Abe, Senator George Sekibo, Senator Bari Mpigi, and others.

In his response, the Minister thanked his political family and associates for standing solidly behind him, acknowledging the role they have played in shaping his leadership journey.

He said he remained fulfilled working with his people and pledged to continue collaborating closely with them in the interest of the people of Rivers State and Nigeria at large.

Wike, who described criticism and abuses as one of the things that keep him going, added that he has never been bothered by those who abuse and criticise him.

The event ended with special prayers for the Minister and his family.

Tinubu hails Wike at birthday, lauds FCT transformation

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, on his birthday, describing him as an audacious and results-driven public servant whose performance has stood out in his administration.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President celebrated the former Rivers State governor for a life marked by purpose, service and courage, while thanking God for his contributions to national development.

President Tinubu praised Wike as a top performer who consistently defies obstacles and delivers tangible results, particularly in the ongoing transformation of the Federal Capital Territory through aggressive infrastructure expansion.

The President specifically highlighted the minister’s recent intervention that broke a 14-year deadlock on the construction of the Apo–Karshi Road, describing the development as emblematic of Wike’s problem-solving approach to governance.

Commending the minister’s resilience and “can-do” attitude, Tinubu noted that Wike’s commitment to excellence has translated into visible improvements across the FCT, reinforcing public confidence in the delivery of critical infrastructure.

“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet, an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital as never seen before and proving that his moniker as ‘Mr Project’ is not limited to his home state of Rivers,” the President said.

He further acknowledged Wike’s role as one of the champions of the Renewed Hope Agenda, despite belonging to a different political party, describing his performance as a testament to national service beyond partisan considerations.

President Tinubu wished the FCT minister a happy birthday and prayed for renewed strength as he continues his work to advance development and service delivery in the nation’s capital.

“I commend him for being one of the champions of our Renewed Hope Agenda, even though he belongs to another party and wish him well as he marks another year in his life journey”, the President said.

  • ‘Provide evidence of corruption among judges,’ Appeal Court’s president tasks Nigerians

‘Provide evidence of corruption among judges,’ Appeal Court’s president tasks Nigerians

The President of the Court of Appeal (PCA), Justice Monica Dongban-Memsem, has challenged those accusing judges of being corrupt to provide evidence to enable relevant institutions to take the necessary steps.

Justice Dongban-Memsem said, “We keep hearing of corruption among judges. Please provide evidence. That is what we need.

“Since no one has come up with evidence that we are corrupt, I know that we are not corrupt. We are doing our best.”

The PCA spoke in Abuja on Monday during a special court session marking the official commencement of the Court of Appeal’s 2025/2026 legal year.

She expressed discomfort that people criticise the Judiciary when it receives support from the Executive arm of government, arguing that it was not out of place for the government to support the court and its officials to aid its effectiveness.

The PCA faulted the practice where lawyers encourage the writing of petitions against judicial officers because they feel dissatisfied with the judgment rendered by such judges.

She advocated for adequate and befitting accommodation for judges, citing the recent case of a retired judge of the Delta State Judiciary, who was murdered in her residence.

The PCA said that although the circumstances leading to her death were not yet fully known, it was obvious she lived in a not well secured environment.

Justice Dongban-Memsem said, “So, even after we have left office, we are still not safe, because of the decisions that we have taken.”

She appealed to both the federal and sub-national governments to extend the provision of houses to all judges rather than limiting it to heads of courts.

“Our sacrifice to the nation is invaluable. We don’t have alternative places to go. We do not pass files to other people. We sit down, we write our judgments, we read the files, and sometimes, they are very heavy.

“So, we do not even have time to do other businesses to enable us to provide for ourselves. People should please not begrudge us if we are being supported by the government that we are serving. And their support does not change us.

“We look at the facts, and we apply the law. If we fail to do that, there are three levels of appeal. Judges can be wrong. But we do not choose to be wrong.

“We may misinterpret the facts. If you think we do it deliberately, bring up the facts. Go on appeal. Judges should not be weighed down with answering petitions.

“Appeal when you can appeal. A judicial decision is supposed to be appealed against, not to be petitioned against,” she said.

The PCA, who noted that election-related cases were consuming judicial time, urged politicians to learn to resolve their disputes internally and desist from burdening the court with the problems.

She said, “We hope that the politicians will resolve their disputes internally and leave the court out of it. Endless litigation drains our scarce resources.

“We are currently in serious debt. We therefore appeal to political actors: democracy cannot flourish if every electoral contest is dragged into the courtroom.

“The spirit of sportsmanship must prevail. We urge politicians to respect the will of the electorate, accept outcomes in good faith, and place the peace and progress of our nation above personal ambition,” she said.

The PCA, who disclosed that efforts were ongoing for appointing 11 new Justices for the court to fill existing vacancies, appealed to the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) to impress it on the National Assembly to pass a pending Bill that seeks to increase the number of judicial officers for the Court of Appeal.

She expressed delight about the court’s performance in the last legal year, noting that during the 2024/2025 legal year, the court received 5,225 appeals and 9,906 motions across its 20 divisions.

She added, “In the same period, we successfully determined 3,193 appeals and heard 5,623 motions. Of the appeals concluded, 2,503 were dismissed while 690 were allowed. As at 31st October 2025, the court has 31,618 appeals and 3,382 motions pending.

“When compared with the 2023/2024 legal year, a clear improvement emerges. In that year, only 2,299 appeals were determined, and the number of pending appeals stood at 41,952.

“The significant reduction in the backlog this year reflects the exceptional commitment and hard work of my brother Justices in dispensing justice judiciously and judicially,” she said.

The PCA said the court’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) centre equally managed 121 mediation matters as of October 2025, out of which 34 were successfully resolved through mutually agreeable settlement arrangements, resulting in enforceable resolutions duly approved by the court.

“A total of 26 matters were returned to the court for adjudication due to parties being unable to reach a consensus. Consequently, 61 matters remain pending before the centre,” she said.

The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), disclosed that the Federal Government was in the process of appointing more judges at the Federal High Court to hasten the pace of determining terror-related cases.

Fagbemi tasked the Judiciary to do all within its capacity to reduce delays in its handling of terror-related cases and commercial matters in view of their effects on security and the economy.

He stressed the importance of the Judiciary to the government’s efforts at combating insecurity and attracting foreign direct investments.

Fagbemi said, Rather than resorting to indiscriminate detention or relying solely on battlefield engagements, the government is focused on the timely prosecution of suspects implicated in mass-casualty attacks, kidnap-for-ransom networks, extremist recruitment, and terror-financing activities.

“The government is equally mindful that this can only be achieved by enhancing the capacity of the judges who would handle these cases and other cases in the docket of our courts.

“The Government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR is therefore committed to the immediate appointment of additional judges of the Federal High Court to reinforce and boost our national counter-terrorism efforts and ensure that terrorism-related cases and other cases are handled promptly and effectively.

“I therefore respectfully urge this Honourable Court to accord accelerated hearing to commercial cases whose outcomes bear directly on the economy, investor confidence, and the prosperity of our people.

“At this solemn juncture in our national life, it is also impossible to ignore the grave challenge of insecurity that confronts our country.

“From insurgency and terrorism to banditry, kidnapping, and violent crimes, these threats imperil not only the safety of our citizens but also the very fabric of our constitutional democracy.

“The judiciary, as the guardian of justice and the custodian of the rule of law, must lend its weight to national efforts to combat insecurity.

“Through firm, consistent, and courageous adjudication, the courts can ensure that those who threaten peace and stability are held accountable, that impunity is dismantled, and that the sanctity of human life and property is protected.

“This is because prosecuting delays can extend periods of insecurity while damaging public trust in judicial procedures.

“The judicial system’s effectiveness strengthens when terrorism cases receive swift hearings and resolutions, which demonstrates that terrorism faces immediate and decisive legal action,” Fagbemi said.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, assured that the FCT administration will continue to support the Judiciary and courts in Abuja.

He identified some projects that have been undertaken in that regard over the last year and promised to do more to ensure a conducive environment for the court and the judges to function effectively.

  • Tinubu will continue to support judiciary to enhance productivity – Wike

Tinubu will continue to support judiciary to enhance productivity – Wike

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has reiterated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will continue to support the judiciary to enhance productivity, reduce delays, and uphold the independence and integrity of the judiciary.

The Minister disclosed that budgetary provisions had been made to construct additional residential houses for FCT High Court Judges to mitigate housing shortages and ensure all judicial officers are appropriately accommodated.

Wike, in his goodwill message at the Special Court session formally marking the commencement of the 2025/2026 Legal Year of the Court of Appeal in Abuja, on Monday, said, “Well-equipped court facilities, chambers, and support infrastructure ensure that judicial work is conducted in a professional, safe, and conducive environment.”

He disclosed that, “Under the President’s decisive action, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has formally handed over the Certificate of Occupancy for the Supreme Court’s land and commenced the full perimeter fencing of the entire complex to safeguard the nation’s apex court against encroachment and security breaches.

This swift, long-awaited intervention gives the Apex Court of our beloved country the much-needed Confidence Building which had not been done in past administrations. This confidence building actions trickles down to each arm of the judiciary”.

The Minister also listed various interventions and supports of the President for the judiciary through the FCTA to include; the ongoing construction of secure and befitting residential quarters for Heads of Courts within the FCT and ongoing construction of a new Magistrate Court Complex in Jabi District to expand access to justice for FCT residents and reduce the burden on existing court infrastructure.

Others are construction of Staff Quarters for the Nigerian Law School in the FCT and design and construction of the Court of Appeal Abuja division Complex as well as residences of the Justices of the National Industrial High Court Abuja Division and Federal High Court Abuja Division.

He stated that the projects were designed to directly support judges in the performance of their duties, saying that “The reasoning of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is that providing comfortable and secure accommodation allows judges to focus entirely on the timely and efficient administration of justice, free from the distractions of inadequate living conditions.”

Reiterating the continued support of the FCTA to the implementation of justice reforms, Wike said, “As we step into the new Legal Year, the FCT Administration remains resolute in its determination to further support the implementation of justice reforms. Our priorities for the 2025/2026 Legal Year are focused on consolidating the gains made and expanding support where it is most needed.

According to a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA), on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, “We will aggressively push for the timely completion of the new residential quarters for Heads of Courts and the Jabi Magistrate Court Complex to ensure prompt utilization. Furthermore, we have made budgetary provisions to construct additional residential houses for FCT High Court Judges to mitigate housing shortages and ensure all judicial officers are appropriately accommodated.

“We will continue to collaborate with the various FCT-based judiciaries (including the Court of Appeal) to support the digitization of court proceedings and registries to improve efficiency, reduce manual processes, and accelerate the dispensation of justice.

“Let me state that Justice must never be compromised under any circumstances, for it is the bedrock of our democracy and the safeguard of public trust. It is the responsibility of all stakeholders, judges, legal practitioners, government agencies, and citizens alike to work collaboratively to strengthen and improve our judicial system. I am confident that the commencement of this 2025/2026 Legal Year will herald a period of unprecedented success, wisdom, and efficiency for the Court of Appeal.”
