    ‘I am married’: Wizkid finally reveals new bride

    Nigerian superstar, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, recently made headlines after revealing that he is married.

    The revelation occurred during a live performance, where the singer playfully cautioned a female fan not to come too close to him.

    In a video clip that has since gone viral, Wizkid is heard saying, “Baby, I am a married man, don’t come close to me. I am married. My kids are at home.”

    The nature of his comments left fans wondering if he was serious or simply joking.

    Wizkid is currently in a relationship with Jada Pollock, who serves as both his manager and the mother of two of his children.

    Their relationship became public in 2017, following the birth of their first son, Zion. Since then, the couple has continued to share moments of their personal and professional life.

    In 2021, they welcomed their second son, AJ, adding to Wizkid’s family.

    Wizkid releases snippet from anticipated album ‘Morayo’

    Grammy award-winning singer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has dropped a snippet from his upcoming album “Morayo”.

    The single, “Piece Of my heart”, featuring Brent Faiyaz, is an upbeat track with Caribbean, R&B, Afro-Pop, and Dancehall influences that has already generated buzz among fans and music lovers.

    Wizkid shared the snippet on his Instagram page, giving his followers a glimpse into what to expect from the album, which he has described as “very, very personal”.

    According to Wizkid, the album is dedicated to his late mother, Dolapo Balogun, and is titled “Morayo”.

    “I hope it lifts spirits and spreads positive energy,” he wrote on Instagram.

    Speaking at the recent Louis Vuitton show helmed by Pharrell Williams, Wizkid revealed that his goal for “Morayo” is to spread positive energy and lift spirits.

    Grammy-winning singer Wizkid has shared his creative process, revealing that he recorded all his hit songs while sitting down.

    In a viral video, the “Essence” hitmaker explained that he doesn’t stress himself to make hits, instead, he focuses on chilling and creating music effortlessly.

    Wizkid mentioned that his biggest songs, including “Holla At Your Boy”, “Soco”, “Joro”, and “Ojuelegba”, were all recorded while sitting down.

    He also expressed his dislike for promoting his music or doing media interviews, stating that he knows exactly what the people want.

    The singer praised producer P2J, saying he’s the only one who understands him, and that all they need to do is turn on the mic to create magic.

    He said: “All my biggest songs from ‘Holla At Your Boy’ to ‘Soco’, ‘Joro’, ‘Ojuelegba’, I recorded them sitting down.

    “You [P2J] know how my things be for Lagos. You’ve been in my house. You know what I do. I’m chilling. You get me, no stress.

    “You see promo, I hate doing that sh*t. You know press, I hate doing all that sh*t, bro. I know exactly what the people want. [Producer] P2J is the only n*gga that understands me.

    ‘All we have to do is turn on the mic. The amazing thing is that the world is now globalised, you don’t need anyone to lie to you.”

    Music sensation Wizkid has shared a different perspective on his life, revealing the experiences that have shaped his way of life.

    Wizkid reflected on his childhood, growing up in a family of 11 children, including four from his mother.

    He recalled moments of hardship where he and his siblings often went without meals.

    “I came from the bottom, I know what it feels like not to have anything. There was a time in my life when I had never even had breakfast, it was just lunch or maybe dinner,” he shared.

    Despite his immense fame, Wizkid emphasised that his humble beginnings have instilled in him a sense of gratitude and composure, which no level of success can compromise.

    Grammy-winning Afrobeats sensation Wizkid revealed that if music hadn’t worked out, football would have been his alternate career path.

    The Nigerian superstar, known for his chart-topping hits, shared his passion for the sport and his admiration for the discipline required to succeed in football.

    Wizkid, who played on his school’s football team, acknowledged that his impatience and dislike for early morning training sessions led him to focus on music instead.

    “If I wasn’t doing music, I would be playing football, I play football real good, I used to be in my school team”, he said.

    He, however, said that his respect for the sport and its demands remains strong.

    The artist also spoke about his friendships with professional footballers, marveling at their dedication to their craft.

    “They party with me, but they don’t smoke or drink because they have to wake up at 6 am for training,” Wizkid said.

    In addition, Wizkid shared his unconventional approach to security, opting not to travel with bodyguards and instead relying on his tight-knit management team, whom he considers family.

    Shola Ogudu, the first baby mama of Grammy-winning singer Wizkid, has claimed a surprising detail about her pregnancy. 

    In an interview with Maria Chike’s podcast, “Mum Next Door,” Shola shared that she didn’t know she was pregnant until she was five months gone.

    At the time, Ogudu said she was in her final year of university and her parents were concerned about her studies. 

    She explained that she was actually four months pregnant before discovering she was expecting in the fifth month.

    According to her, she completed her education despite the pregnancy, adding that she finished with good grades.

    “I had my baby pretty early, I was in university, my final year. I was pregnant for four months to be honest.

    “I didn’t know I was pregnant until I was 5 months gone, my parents’ concern was I had to finish university and I did with good grades,” she said.

    Grammy-winning singer Wizkid has again mourned the loss of his mother, Mrs. Morayo Balogun, in his latest collaboration with Asake called “MMS.”

    He revealed that he lost himself but found his purpose, singing about accepting his destiny and finding solace in his daily life despite the pain of his mother’s absence.

    Wizkid has announced a forthcoming album, ‘Morayo’, in honor of his late mother, showcasing his emotional connection to her memory.

    Wizkid bags seven nominations at Africa Arts Entertainments Award

    Afrobeat sensation, Wizkid, has been nominated for seven awards at the prestigious Africa Arts Entertainments Award (AAEA).

    The annual event recognises outstanding achievements in the music industry across Africa.

    Wizkid’s nominations include top honours such as Continental Artist of the Year and Best Continental Male Artist.

    His critically acclaimed project “S2” is also up for Continental Album/EP of the Year.

    The Grammy-winning artist is also recognised for his collaborative efforts, with nods for Best Continental Intl Feature for “Work Me Out” and Best Continental Afro Rap Fusion Hit for “IDK”.
