The chairman of Lagos State Parks and Garages, MC Oluomo, joyfully received sensational singer, Wizkid at his Lagos residence on Monday, December 11.

MC Oluomo shared videos from the unexpected encounter on his Instagram page.

He mentioned that Wizkid displayed an unparalleled blend of pure talent and humility. 

According to him, their conversation served as proof of his captivating demeanour, leaving a lasting impression on him.

MC Oluomo added that he was astounded by his musical prowess and his constant warmth, which increased his respect and admiration for him twofold.

He said: “Today, the illustrious music icon, Ayo Balogun, more commonly known as Wizkid, paid me an unexpected visit, brightening my day with his captivating charm and humble nature. As a pillar of the Nigerian music industry, his presence radiated an unmatchable blend of raw talent and humility. Our dynamic conversation was a testament to his magnetic personality, leaving a lasting impression.

In another post, he wrote: “Today, my house is filled with excitement as the renowned musician Wizkid graces us with his presence. His infectious energy and remarkable talent fill the air, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Laughter, music, and unforgettable memories are being made as Wizkid’s presence turns an ordinary day into an extraordinary one.”

Grammy-winning singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has announced a N100 million donation for the festive season on behalf of his late mother, Jane Dolapo Morayo Balogun.

The Nation reported that the mother of the superstar singer passed away on August 18th, 2023, in London.

The Ojuelegba crooner, through his Instagram story, has just announced his intention to generously donate a significant sum of N100 million to children.

The distribution is scheduled to kick off on the night of December 11, in Surulere, Lagos.

He wrote: “100M for the kids for Christmas! Lord bless us all. Start in Surulere tonight! All in Morayo’s name! The love of my life.”

South African singer, Tyla Laura Seethal, popularly known as Tyla, has ranked Afrobeats singer Wizkid, on the same level as All-time music legend, Michael Jackson

The ‘Water’ crooner was asked on The Bianca show who are her top five greatest musicians of all-time on the Bianca Show and she mentioned Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Drake, Rihanna, and Wizkid.

She clarified that Wizkid is on the list because of his longevity and impact on the African music scene.

Tyla said: “My top five musical artists of all-time, obviously, Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Drake… It is always difficult to find the last one. There’s so many but I will say Wizkid. He has been around so long and has done so much for the culture and the genre, so I definitely put him there.”

Musical icon, Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has caused a buzz on social media after he revealed his top five Nigerian artists.  

Wizkid via his Instagram story listed Rema, Asake, Odumodublvck, Bloody Civilian and Shallipopi as his current favorites artists.

He wrote on his Instastory: “Yea my fav artist right now Odumodublvck, Rema, Asake, Bloody Civilian.”

Superstar singer Wizkid has hailed rising singer and junior colleague Shallipopi’s artistic prowess in delivering lyrically.  

He said even if Shallipopi would cough, he would dance to it.

The ‘essence’ crooner declared his readiness to dance to Shallipopi’s tunes, affirming that even if a mere cough were part of the song, it wouldn’t dampen his enthusiasm.

Superstar singer, Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid has hinted on extending his four year music break to six years.

The ‘Essence’ crooner, who initially announced that he would be out of the studio for three or four years, said he was now considering extending the break to six years.

On his Instagram story, Wizkid wrote: “Loving every bit of this holiday. Might extend to six years.”

Grammy-winning singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid, has once again reiterated his desire to explore the film industry after announcing his break from music.  

According to the Starboy boss, he is interested in romantic and violent scenes. 

Wizkid said he wants to become an actor because he wants to kiss women and shoot guns in movies.

He revealed this via his Instagram story recently.

He wrote in Pidgin: “Shebi I tell una I one dey act film!…I just want dey kiss and shoot a gun for a movie. Daz all!!”

Celebrity singer Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid has announced he is taking a four-year break from music.

Wizkid revealed this in a series of Instagram posts on Sunday.

According to him, he would be taking four or five years off the music scene.
