Uncovered gem

SIR: The quote “the way you dress, you will be addressed” is not just a saying for its sake. There a lot to this than we know. The respect you earn from people is sometimes quantifiable by what you put on. The first thing people notice when you appear is your dress because it immediately suggests who you are.

Life is extremely evolving and so are our fashion and lifestyle.

We put on different dresses these days all in the name of fashion.

We put on dresses like short gown/skirt, crazy jeans*

Show backs, show laps, etc.

All these dresses reveal parts of our bodies and straight away, this diminishes who we are. In other words, this manner of dressing adds no value to us. Our body is a form of temple which should be respected.

The main purpose of putting on cloth is to cover our nakedness. It is better not put on clothes at all rather than dressing half naked. Revealing part of your chest, lapses or boxers is not only indecent but symptoms of certain deficiencies in us.

If you have two lollipops, you removed the wrap of one of the lollipops and dropped them on a table. Can you guess the one that would invite insects? Yes! Your guess is as good as mine. The unwrapped lollipop will be attracted to insects.

Apparently, dressing indecently will only attract those that don’t even deserve to have us. It will only attract those who wish to help you to further debase yourself; treasures are covered not exposed.

No responsible man is attracted to an indecently dressed lady because it is believed that only prostitutes dress indecently. In the same vein, no responsible lady will marry a mad man who dresses like an inmate by displaying his ugly inner wear.

Finally, fashionable dressing is not the same thing as scruffy appearance.
