Oyo State Chairman, COVID-19 Task Force, Governor Seyi Makinde has explained that the state decided to embark on community testing for the virus because of fears of community spread and the need to make informed decisions of data gathered.
This is as the Governor also assured residents that the state government would be solely responsible for the cost of the test and the treatment of those that might test positive to the pandemic.

Makinde spoke yesterday while kicking off the community testing in Lagelu West Local Council Development Area which held at St. Stephens Anglican Primary School, Alegongo.
