Everyone has their love story and it comes in different dimensions. For River State Governor, Nyesome Wike, and his wife, Justice Eberechi, who have been married for 19 years, it was a notebook that brought them together.
It was learnt that the couple attended the Rivers State University of Science and Technology where they both studied Law. But for three years sharing the same lecture rooms, they didn’t say word to each other.

According to a source close to the wife, Eberechi later found out that Wike’s notes were up-to-date and the need to borrow his notes made her to initiate a conversation. The insider said, “All the while, she thought Wike was an unserious student, so she stayed away from him. For three years, they sat in the same lecture rooms and halls, but never spoke. She then found out that his notes were up to date and Wike took time to even report more cases. She had no choice but to ask him for a notebook and their love story started from there.”
Apart from being the First Lady of Rivers State since 29 May 2015, Eberechi is also a judge of the Rivers State High Court of Justice. The couple have three kids.
