    Help us instead of Iyabo Ojo, women tell MC Oluomo

    Two women have called on the Chairman of Lagos Parks and Garages Community MC Oluomo to help them their colleagues and the masses instead of popular actress, Iyabo Ojo.

    The woman who was with a friend argued based on their loyalty to MC and his principal, the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, they deserve to enjoy his largess than the actress who doesn’t support Tinubu but Peter Obi.

    In a viral video, the women who expressed themselves in Yoruba, chided Ojo for being an ingrate.

    Fuming, the women said: “Hello, you see us; we are Tinubu’s supporters. Helps us, it’s the same principal we support.

    “MC, helps us the theatre practitioners; the masses. Iyabo Ojo is an unfortunate person, she’s just collecting money from you. Help us instead of her.

    “Help us the masses. We don’t have money, but we always do your bidding. Anywhere we go, we go pray for you. We are Tinubu’s core loyalists.

    “We always pray for you. We voted for APC because we love him. Tinubu is the one we carry in our hearts. We have never collected money from you.”

    Recently, actress Dayo Amusa threw shades at her colleague, Iyabo Ojo over her support for Peter Obi which allegedly caused a rift between her and MC Oluomo, who is a staunch supporter and godson of Tinubu.

    Calling Iyabo Ojo a bloody ingrate, Amusa listed the numerous good deeds MC supposedly did for her, some of which were, paying her children’s school fees, house mortgage, rent, kids’ party bills among others.

    Though, Amusa didn’t particularly mention Ojo’s name, many deciphered that she was referring to the latter.

    In a statement, Nnennaya Kelly shared the passion and emotion put into creating the masterpiece.

    She stated: “My new single has a very deeply touching subject matter, “No Wori” highlights the sufferings and struggles that people all over the world face due to economic crisis, so many are experiencing hunger, lack of job prospects, loss and anxiety in this life, and people are becoming so tired and stressed out. Thankfully, the purpose of this song is to remind us that life moves on and that the storm won’t last forever.”

    She also mentioned that the song strikes a chord for its personal approach, and a familiar, yet distinct sound that brings together a perfectly mastered combination of ideas, while still allowing her one-of-a-kind vision to shine through.

    Dafinone defeats Amori, emerges Delta Central senator-elect

    The Senator-elect for Delta Central Chief Ede Dafinone has expressed appreciation to God and residents for their overwhelming support last Saturday.

    According to the INEC Returning Officer for the senatorial district election, Prof. Ezekiel Agbalagba, the renowned chartered Accountant and Business mogul, who ran on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC polled 109,197 votes to defeat his closest rival, Senator Ighoyota Amori of the PDP who scored 101,385 votes.

    Speaking after his declarations, Chief Dafinone said he was going to be a Senator for the entire people of Delta Central irrespective of political or ethnic affiliation, adding that his victory will usher in people-focus representation at the red chamber.

    He applauded APC leaders, members of the Ede Dafinone Campaign Organisation, and party faithfuls, for their unflinching support during and after the election by standing up to defend the votes freely cast for APC and ensuring that the votes count.

    “I want to thank the Almighty God who made this victory possible and also appreciate our party leaders, party faithfuls, our campaign team, community leaders, support groups and everyone who made this historic day a reality.

    “I am deeply touched and overwhelmed by your support and I want to assure you that I am going to work round the clock and ensure that your concerns and voices are heard at the red chamber.

    “I want to assure all Delta Central that I will be a senator for all irrespective of political or ethnic affiliations because we are determined to make this district greater.

    Olawepo-Hashim urges Tinubu to unite Nigeria

    All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant, Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has congratulated the president-elect, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shettima on their success in the political contest.

    In a statement by his media, Olawepo-Hashim also prayed that “God will grant the duo the wisdom to bring the nation badly divided together and to bring succour immediately to the poor people of Nigeria who have suffered so much.”

    He emphasised that “the business of national reconciliation and healing is urgent and cannot be delayed” to move the nation forward.

    He said that “Asiwaju’s government must not be the government of the victors alone but an inclusive government, a government of every useful hand for the task of national unity and prosperity.”

    The APC chieftain also commended the security agencies “who worked so hard to create the environment of peace.”

    He maintained that “the Nigerian electorates who have borne so much hardship and provocations during the election are the real heroes of the election.

    “The message from them is clear: they want real change.

    “Our young people have been remarkable in this election they have come out in large numbers to say loudly they want a better Nigeria.

    “They represent the very best of our democracy and an immediate future that no force can stop.”

    To the INEC, Olawepo-Hashim noted “that election agency has to work harder. It has to get its acts together as its conduct almost marred the election.”

    He equally congratulated other participants particularly the Waziri Adamawa, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar former Vice President and candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the candidate of the Labour Party, His Excellency, Peter Obi, former Governor of Anambra state who were very competitive in the Presidential election.

    “Despite their reservations about the conduct of the election, particularly the collation of results, they have
    continously conducted themselves as patriots and Democrats that they are using all legal and legitimate channels to ventilate their grievances.
    “This is the way of democracy,” he said

    He equally urged INEC to “improve its operations in the conduct of the Gubernatorial and states assembly elections, and all relevant agencies to address the dark sides of the just concluded election such as wide scale voter intimidation observed in the reports of many election observers.

    “Our democracy must mature beyond the perennial problem of voters intimidation especially voters who are considered as non-indigenes.”

    State governors, according to him, “must end the ugly practices of putting citizens under pressure to change their political choices through traditional rulers.

    “We are a republic and franchise of all citizens must be protected regardless of their ethnic descent anywhere they have chosen to live.

    “The democracy that my colleagues and I some three and half decades ago fought for and staked our lives for, is to allow the equality of all citizens and their rights to make their political choices in any corner of Nigeria they have chosen to live.”

    In a statement, Raji applauded the conduct and outcome of the Presidential election held over the weekend, contending that it was a true reflection of people’s political preference.

    “Let me start by congratulating the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for giving Nigerians a free, fair, transparent, peaceful and credible election, where Nigerians were able to freely express their political wish. The outcome of the election was enough indication that it is far from past elections when the results can be safely predicted even before the actual conduct”, the statement reads.

    He added that Asiwaju’s victory is a testimony to his glittering track records of public service, foresight and grit in party building and administration, as well as the courage the former Lagos State governor continues to demonstrate in fighting for the entrenchment of democracy in Nigeria.

    “All these attributes make him worthy of the high esteem and enjoy the trust and massive support across the country”, he noted.

    He also expressed confidence in the capacity and capability of the President-elect to deliver on his pre-election promises to the nation.

    The Personal Assistant to Plateau Governor and Director General of the Tinubu/ Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Dr Abubakar Kuso, has congratuled the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima on their victory at the just concluded election.

    During a briefing at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) National Collation Centre Abuja shortly after Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared winner of the election, Kuso thanked Nigerians for standing by APC and voting for Tinubu.

    He said the antecedents of Tinubu stand tall amongst all the presidential candidates and rated Tinubu as the renewed hope for Nigeria and Nigerians.

    Kuso, who is widely followed by the Youths of Nigeria and popularly known as the “grand commander” of the youths, is one of the most dogged grassroots politicians in the North Central.

    Kuso is one of the first promoters of the Asiwaju Presidential Project when he formed the BTSO, a support group that is one of the biggest forces that drove the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Project to all the nooks and crannies of the country until Victory was achieved on 25th February 2023.

    Speaking during the briefing, he admonished the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, the People’s Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar and Rabiu Kwankwaso to all join hands with Tinubu in building a new Nigeria.

    He said that it is not about the religion of the candidate but competence and capacity.

    A few days ago the political heavyweight and ardent supporter of Tinubu shut down Bida in Niger State for Tinubu/ Shettima in a rally that kept the people of North Central wondering how he could pull such an unusual crowd and support.

    The Niger politician was instrumental in thousands of votes for Asiwaju Bola in Niger State and Nigeria at large using the BTSO platform nationwide.

    He prayed that Almighty God would grant Tinubu/ Shettima a very successful term that all Nigerians would be proud of.
