How MEXC is making learning easy for traders, beginners

MEXC is helping crypto traders and beginners to learn about crypto in a simple and confident way. The platform provides clear learning materials, practical guides, and beginner friendly explanations that help them understand how crypto works without confusion.

The MEXC Learn offers lessons on key topics such as blockchain, trading, and risk management, while the MEXC app gives you real time market updates that help you learn by observing real activity.

Through its live sessions, community discussions, and helpful support team, MEXC makes it easy for anyone to grow from a curious beginner into an informed crypto user.

Since 2018, MEXC remains committed to being “Your Easiest Way to Crypto.”

The word crypto comes from a Greek word that means hidden. Cryptography protects information and ensures secure communication. With crypto transactions, special encryption keys act like digital signatures to confirm a user is the real sender. This creates trust without needing a central authority.

Analysts said: “Imagine scrolling through your social media feed on a normal day. Your favorite music artist is praising a new digital coin. A football star is telling you that crypto changed his life. A popular influencer insists that buying a particular token is the smartest financial move you will make this year. Everywhere you look, someone is pointing you toward the next big crypto opportunity that may give more returns than Bitcoin. It feels exciting, fast, and full of promises. It also feels like everyone else is getting rich without you”.

“This feeling has a name. The fear of missing out, often called FOMO, has become a driving force in the world of cryptocurrency. Many people today are drawn into digital assets by the hope that their money will rise quickly in value. Phrases like going to the moon have become part of everyday conversations about crypto. But behind all the excitement, there is also a need for understanding. Crypto can be rewarding, but it can also be confusing and risky. To make wise decisions, we need to look beyond the hype”.

Experts said crypto assets are digital assets, which exist only in electronic form.

While they were originally created as a way to make payments, many people today treat them as investment tools. The idea is simple. You buy a crypto asset like Bitcoin or Ethereum and  hope its value increases.

But this hope comes with risk. A risk is the chance that your investment may lose value. This has happened many times in the crypto world. Bitcoin, the first and most popular crypto asset, has experienced large rises and large declines. Even though it is considered one of the most stable coins, it has lost almost seventy percent of its value during some periods.

If you ever choose to invest in crypto, consider these points  only use money you can afford to lose, be cautious of celebrity endorsements. Many are paid promotions and may not reflect real financial wisdom, do your own research before trusting online suggestions and protect yourself from scams by avoiding offers that promise guaranteed profits.

Celebrities and influencers may also invest in the assets they promote, which means they benefit from price increases. Their priority may not be what is best for you.

Cryptocurrency began as an innovative way to make payments. Over time, it became a global investment trend. Blockchain technology changed how we record transactions and opened the door for thousands of digital assets. Yet crypto remains unpredictable. It has created wealth, but it has also caused significant losses.

To navigate the crypto world safely, knowledge is essential. Look beyond the hype. Study the risks. Be aware of scams. Never invest more than you can handle losing. Crypto is fascinating and full of potential, but it demands careful understanding.

That understanding begins with asking the right questions and not letting excitement make decisions for you.

Crypto asset market capitalization refers to the total value of all units of a particular asset. In November 2021, all crypto assets combined reached a value of about $2.9 trillion dollars. By mid 2022, almost $2 trillion dollars of that value had vanished. Some people, including well known investors like Bill Gates, question the idea of crypto as a strong investment. Gates argues that crypto value depends mainly on what someone else is willing to pay, rather than on a product or service that benefits society.

Blockchain technology forms the heart of crypto assets. A blockchain is a digital ledger that records transactions. For example, when people buy or sell Bitcoin, the information is stored on one shared public ledger. Every transaction must be verified before it becomes official. This is done by a network of powerful computers called miners. Miners solve complex math problems to confirm each transaction and are rewarded with new Bitcoin.

Once a group of transactions is verified, it is placed into a block. Each block connects to the one before it, creating a long chain. This is why it is called a blockchain.

The blockchain is not stored in one place. It is spread across many computers around the world. This means no single government, company, or person controls it. The creator of Bitcoin designed it this way to avoid control from any central authority. Unlike traditional digital payments like PayPal or bank transfers, Bitcoin allows people to transact directly with one another. This is known as peer to peer interaction.

  • How Mr. Taj emerged formidable figure in entertainment, enterprise

How Mr. Taj emerged formidable figure in entertainment, enterprise

Kingsley Taginere, popularly known as Mr. Taj, has emerged into public view following his appearance at the recent celebration marking Nigerian singer Ckay’s one billion Spotify streams.

Taginere, a construction and engineering entrepreneur, has for years remained a key support figure behind renowned talent manager Louiza Williams.

However, his presence at the high-profile industry event drew attention as he appeared alongside his wife, prompting renewed interest in his role behind some of Nigeria’s notable music and film successes.

Well-dressed and composed, Taginere was widely noted by attendees as he joined industry stakeholders in celebrating the milestone, offering a rare glimpse of the man who has largely operated behind the scenes.

“I’ve always preferred to let my wife shine—she’s the star,” he says with a smile. “But that night was unforgettable. Seeing the industry celebrate such a massive milestone, and knowing how much work Louiza put into it, made me incredibly proud.”

Long before they were married, Kingsley was already a key player in Louiza’s journey. During her early days managing Kizz Daniel, he was instrumental in promoting the breakout hit “Woju” across Delta State.

“I literally went grassroots with it; clubs, campuses, radio,” he recalls. “It became an anthem among the youth there.”

That support didn’t stop there. From G-Worldwide Entertainment to every artist and project Louiza Williams has touched since, Mr. Taj has been a behind-the-scenes force, strategizing, amplifying, and ensuring success.

“We were partners in purpose before we were partners in marriage,” he says.

“I never saw it as ‘her work’—it was our shared mission.”

After their wedding, the couple’s synergy only deepened. Louiza’s first film project, “SUGA SUGA”, saw Taginere accompanying her to set almost daily. The film premiered in cinemas nationwide and later became one of the top recommended Nollywood titles on Amazon Prime in 2021.

“Watching her produce, and lead with such clarity was inspiring,” he says.

“That success wasn’t just hers—it was ours.”

He later took on the role of executive producer for “The Groom”, which aired on Africa Magic Showcase, further cementing his growing footprint in the industry.

Beyond entertainment, Kingsley Taginere is a seasoned entrepreneur. He runs a thriving company specializing in procurement, construction, and marine engineering services.

“It’s a completely different world from entertainment, but I enjoy the challenge,” he explains. “I believe in building; whether it’s infrastructure or creative legacies. Both require vision, structure, and the right team.”

Now, Mr. Taj is preparing to support a new film project titled “After the Honeymoon” produced by Louiza Williams slated for release in the first quarter of 2026. The film promises to be a compelling addition to Nollywood’s evolving narrative, and Taginere is excited to be part of its journey.

“This is just the beginning,” he says.

“I plan to back more music talents and movie projects that deserve the spotlight.”

When asked what he admires most about his wife, his answer is immediate: “Her fearlessness. She walks into any room and owns it; not with arrogance, but with purpose.”

“Know who you are. When you’re secure in your identity, you don’t compete, you complement. Support isn’t weakness; it’s strength in its purest form.

If you love her, lift her. If you believe in her, show up. That’s what real partnership looks like.”

  • How Jeremiah Musa’s The Bit Gazette amplifies African voices

How Jeremiah Musa’s The Bit Gazette amplifies African voices

In a global crypto ecosystem dominated by media powerhouses in New York, London and Singapore, a young Nigerian publisher is quietly rewriting the script.

The Founder and Publisher of The Bit Gazette, Jerry Musa has transformed from an ordinary online news reader in Nigeria into the voice behind a fast-growing Web3 publication now read across continents. His mission is simple, but ambitious: to make the digital asset conversation inclusive.

Speaking on his transition from passive observer to global publisher, Musa said his motivation was born out of frustration with the absence of African perspectives in mainstream coverage.

While stating, “I was a consumer long before I was a creator, I was following all the big crypto news sites, and while the information was good, the perspective was often missing.

“They’d talk about the unbanked as this abstract concept, but I lived in a place where that concept has a face, a name, and a daily struggle, he noted.

According to him, waiting for foreign media to tell the African story was never going to deliver justice to lived realities. “I realised that if we waited for others to tell our story, it would never get told right,” he said.

Musa remarked that he started The Bit Gazette to add that missing context to connect the power of this technology to the real lives of people in Nigeria, across Africa, and in emerging markets everywhere.

However, the journey, was not without its hurdles. Just as Musa explained that the single biggest challenge was earning trust in an industry notorious for hype and misinformation.

“In the early days, crypto media was a bit of the wild west, and earning the trust of our readers was everything. We couldn’t just be another voice shouting about prices; we had to be the calm, clear voice explaining the why,” he stated.

He added that the publication committed to integrity from inception, even when it came at a cost. “That meant sometimes being slower to publish, but more thorough. It meant turning down certain types of promotional content. We had to prove we were here for the long haul, not just for a bull market,” he said.

While insisting that the strategy paid off as it helped build a loyal and informed readership.

For Musa, The Bit Gazette is more than a business , it is an empowerment tool. He revealed that the newsroom’s highest reward comes from readers who feel equipped to navigate the new digital economy.

He, however, stressed, “When someone messages us saying they finally understood a concept like staking or how to protect their wallet because of our explainer, that’s the win”

He added, “We’re giving people the confidence to participate in this new digital economy, not just spectate. And that’s a powerful thing.”

Although the publication serves a global audience, Musa insists that its core identity remains Nigerian. “The Bit Gazette is based abroad, but its heart is Nigerian, I have a fantastic team of writers and editors back home who bring an authenticity and insight to our coverage that you simply can’t get anywhere else. They understand the nuances,” he noted.

However, he, views the platform as a springboard for African employment and media talent. “For me, it’s about more than just creating jobs; it’s about platforming these brilliant minds,

“I want the world to hear from the experts who are living the reality they’re reporting on. They are the future of global tech media, and I’m just proud to be giving them a stage,” he said.

  • World’s Largest Subsea Cable 2Africa Officially Activated

World’s Largest Subsea Cable 2Africa Officially Activated

Last year, we reported on how 2Africa, the world’s largest subsea cable, had reached its landing point in Lagos. Initially, the 45,000-kilometre cable was expected to go online the same year, but activation was delayed. Now, in November 2025, Meta has officially activated this infrastructure to enhance internet connectivity across Africa.

    How Subsea Cables Work

The worldwide internet relies on giant underwater cables that deliver massive amounts of data between continents. While wireless connections are used within countries, it’s much faster to use these cables when data needs to cross the Atlantic, Pacific, and other world oceans.

Cable systems like 2Africa expand bandwidth capacity for connected countries. They don’t directly impact terrestrial speeds, but they make international traffic much easier to handle for ISPs. This means ISPs can dedicate more resources to faster, affordable internet packages that support the country’s own digital services. That includes services such as government portals, streaming platforms, and online casinos in Nigeria. Financial transactions, video conferencing, and cloud computing also get faster as a result of these cables.

    2Africa in Nigeria

In recent years, we have seen considerable investment in the improvement and expansion of Africa’s subsea cable infrastructure. Large-scale projects of this nature are often funded by major technology companies, known as hyperscalers like Google. Hyperscalers are big internet services companies that have a vested interest in expanding internet access and quality for everybody. Amazon and Meta are also hyperscalers and, in this case, 2Africa was funded by Meta, Vodafone, and several other telecom businesses from France, China, and Egypt for $1 billion.

2Africa provides a unique benefit to Nigeria through its dual landing points. Older cable systems allocate one landing point per country, connecting them to the international, transoceanic internet. Multiple landing points allow traffic to be distributed and routed more efficiently, reducing congestion and improving speeds.

While 2Africa covers 33 countries, seven of Africa’s biggest economies received a second point. For Nigeria, the first is located in Mopo-Onibeju Lekki in Lagos State and the second is at Ibeno in Akwa Ibom State. You can see them, and all of the other landing points, in this map of 2Africa.

    The Pearls Extension

2Africa may be online, but the work is far from done. These cables require constant maintenance, and often the first core system is just the first step in a wider plan to deliver more connections worldwide. This is the case with 2Africa. It spans most of Africa, but the Pearls Extension aims to expand coverage further into the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean.

This extension was part of the initial plans for 2Africa, so much of the cable is already in place. However, Meta decided to activate the core Africa loop first and focus on the non-African territories later. Current plans state that the Pearls Extension will go live in 2026, though delays are possible due to logistical and geopolitical events. Upon completion, the extension will strengthen connectivity between the digital economies of Africa, Europe, and Western Asia.

Tinubu congratulates HammanDikko on turbaning as Dan Kaden Adamawa

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Hon. Dahiru HammanDikko on his turbaning as the Dan Kaden Adamawa, describing the traditional honour as a fitting recognition of his character, service and contributions to community development.

The turbaning ceremony is scheduled to hold on Saturday (tomorrow) and will be performed by the Paramount Ruler of the Adamawa Emirate, His Royal Highness, Dr Muhammad Barkindo Mustapha.

In a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu said the conferment of the title reflects HammanDikko’s exemplary conduct, professional dedication and commitment to promoting peace and unity within Adamawa State and beyond.

HammanDikko is the Executive Director of Agriculture Services at the Upper Benue River Basin Development Authority and a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The President noted that the Dan Kaden Adamawa title is deeply rooted in history and carries significant responsibility, symbolising strength, leadership and steadfast commitment to the welfare of the people.

He urged HammanDikko to continue to uphold the virtues that earned him the honour and to redouble his efforts toward uplifting communities, fostering harmony and supporting national development.

President Tinubu also commended the Lamido of Adamawa for preserving the rich traditions of the emirate and for recognising individuals whose integrity and record of service reflect the enduring values of the traditional institution.

The President wished HammanDikko continued success in his public and traditional responsibilities as he takes on the revered title.

    • …says he is a committed APC member working behind the scenes

The immediate past Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has reaffirmed his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying he now operates behind the scenes rather than participating in frontline party activities.

Mohammed made the remarks on Friday after delivering the 15th Convocation Lecture of Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, titled “Don’t Just Graduate, Innovate.”

He stressed that while his engagement in party affairs is no longer public, his support for President Bola Tinubu and the ruling administration remains unwavering.

“I am a very loyal member of the APC, and I am 100 per cent behind this administration. I have played my role on the frontline. Whatever I need to do now, I will pass through the back channel, but I’m 100 per cent behind the administration. I have been privileged to serve as the longest Minister of Information, and what I’m doing now is to give back to society,” he said.

Having served for eight years under the late President Muhammadu Buhari, Mohammed described himself as a strong supporter of President Tinubu.

He urged Nigerians to back the president in tackling the nation’s security challenges, which he said continue to hinder economic growth.

Mohammed also reflected on his national prominence, attributing it to years of opposition engagement during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administrations, particularly under former President Goodluck Jonathan.

As a spokesperson for the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and later the APC, he said research-driven media strategies—press conferences, interviews, and releases—helped his team shape national discourse, often acting as an “alternative government.” He recalled facing harassment, including arrests by security agencies, but insisted that he never yielded to intimidation.

During his convocation lecture, Mohammed encouraged graduates to embrace innovation, courage, and resilience.

He emphasised that a university degree alone does not guarantee success but provides a foundation for creativity and boldness.

“Be bold enough to speak your mind even when it feels uncomfortable. Courage creates opportunities. Failures are not dead ends; they are turning points,” he told the graduands.

Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Oyesoji Aremu, noted that lectures by distinguished Nigerians help students reflect on societal issues and their role in addressing them. Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Prof. Bode Ayorinde, highlighted the university’s focus on discipline, academic excellence, and character formation.

Ayorinde said Achievers University, now 18 years old, prioritises high standards over certificate racketeering, rewarding good conduct with monetary prizes, and strictly prohibiting drugs and cultism.

“We are not selling certificates. Our graduates can work with any international organisation. Students who breach conduct codes are dismissed and refunded. Here, drugs and cultism have no place,” he said.

  • APC caught Elephant in Fubara, says Keyamo

APC caught Elephant in Fubara, says Keyamo

    • …Minister inaugurates, flags off roads in Rivers
    • …We will join forces to deliver Tinubu in 2027, says governor

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Chief Festus Keyamo (SAN), has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) caught an elephant in the south-south following the decision of the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, to join the party.

Keyamo spoke in Rivers State while inaugurating the Igwuruta-Airport Road constructed by Fubara and flagging off the bypass to the Airport and Tollgate initiated by the governor.

Kayemo said, “I won’t conclude without warmly welcoming the latest catch in APC. We set a trap to catch a frog, but we caught an elephant in the person of Sir Siminalayi Fubara.

While welcoming the governor to the party, he described it as a big family and the largest in Africa. Keyamo said he was on the ground to witness the presentation of the APC membership card to the governor.

Keyamo hailed President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s strategic leadership that had made the APC attractive to the South-South.

He said, “As a true son of the South-south, may I say that we want to thank Mr President. I cannot leave here without thanking Mr President for all he has done for the people of Rivers State and the people of South-south.

“It has never been this good for the South-south. We started from zero in 2015, now we are six over six in the South-south for the ruling party. Traditionally, Rivers State has never been in opposition, so what we have from 2015 to this time was even an aberration.

“From time to time, Rivers State has always aligned with the centre for the progress and good of the people of Rivers State. I want to thank Mr President for the bold reforms he has made that have attracted many people to the ruling party.”

Keyamo said with the flag off and inauguration of roads, Governor Fubara had solved one of the biggest headaches in the aviation industry.

He said, “It has always been first our headache that the road leading to the Port Harcourt Airport once branch off the highway, that road has been in a deplorable condition and we had always wanted to give that road a facelift so that those who arrived Port Harcourt which is one of our oldest International Airports will have a good view of the city and a good impression when they are driving into the city.

“But it looks like Rivers State has more money than us. We have been pleading with the governor to help us pave the road. When we leave here, the world will see that you have done it for us. That is the first problem you solved for us.

“The second problem is our dear brothers and sisters from this community. I apologize most profusely for any perceived wrongs that we, as the Federal Airport Authority and the Aviation Ministry, have done to them.

“Any perceived neglect, we apologize. We know you are our host here, and we should pay more attention to you. We have done some, but we can always do more, and the governor has come to our rescue

“We take note of all the protests you have sent to us, and we have always asked ourselves what we can do more for this community. So when I cried to the governor, he responded with swiftness.

“The response of the governor and the passion he has for the people of this community is unmatched. I remembered the day they protested here last year, and I got a call from the governor. I called the MD, FAAN, and he said the community is protesting one thing or the other.

“As we were thinking of how to solve the problem, the governor, on his own, called the community and doused the tension for us. We thank you, sir, for that act of statemanship that you displayed. Before I knew it, he started providing some of the succour for this community on our behalf.

“Today, we thank God that we are received here with warmth by the community. We have been received with love and friendliness, and I assure you that we will reciprocate.”

Keyamo said the road, when completed, would open up a whole new corridor to the airport and to the community, adding that the gesture would lead to more commercial activities and buildings in the area.

In his remarks, Fubara said he was happy to receive the APC membership card, declaring himself the 001 of the party in the state.

He said, “I am not just a member of the All Progressive Congress, I am the number 1. I have collected my membership Card, and it is 001. From this moment, it is no longer an issue of to be or not, I am there with all my heart. What is the message?

“The message is clear. We are going to do everything to make sure that the 2027 election for Mr. President would be a smooth ride in Rivers State. It is with all of you here and your support that we can do it.

“The only way we can continue to tell Mr President thank you is to support him. So take note that as you are leaving here, we have started our work and we are not relenting. We will join forces with every group that is in support of the cause of Mr. President.

“I thank you again and the community and assure you that no matter what it is, we will continue to do what will uplift the face of Rivers State. We won’t join anything that will bring negative news to Rivers State. That should be the message to all of you, that is, my supporters. Continue with those things that will bring pride and honour to our dear State.”

Commenting on the projects, the governor said about a year ago, the community went on a protest and blocked the Airport entrance, adding that his government had been looking for a way to resolve the challenges.

Fubara desceibed the last year’s protest by the community as embarrassing, especially as it coincided with the period the state was undergoing political turbulence.

On how his government resolved the problems, he said: “You can imagine blocking the airport, the interpretation was the government was not doing anything. So we moved in and invited the community.

“They demanded employment, which wasn’t within our powers, but we promised to talk with the Aviation authorities. They also demanded healthcare, and I immediately directed that the Health Center in the community be activated, and today it is working. They also demanded electricity, and we also did that for the community.

‘On our return, we looked for a way to solve this problem. Business activities were shut down in Rivers State that day. It wasn’t a good thing. How would people coming to invest in Rivers State feel? At the slightest of provocation, my people will block the way to the airport. I said we need to look for a permanent solution to this problem

“So, what we are doing here today is to create a bypass through which the community can access their place without interfering with the airport. It is not even healthy to be passing through the airport to your communities. So we have resolved this issue for you today. This road will lead to your communities and bring development.”

Fubara said his government was happy that the community and the Minister of Aviation, including the airport authority, gave him the necessary support.

He said the road would bring a lot of development to this community, make life easy, and improve commercial activities as he thanked the people for supporting his government.

The governor emphasised on the need to assist President Tinubu in resolving federal issues in the states.

He said, “We can’t leave all those responsibilities in the hands of the Minister and Mr. President. It is a joint thing, so we took it upon ourselves to give a facelift to the driveways around the airport.

“I can proudly say that anyone who comes into Port Harcourt today feels that sense of seriousness and sees the beauty of the State, which reflects from its entrance. I am happy it wasn’t just conceived for personal purposes but for the good of Rivers State. That particular project within the airport, Igwuruta to the roundabout, is 12.2km, and happy to say that we delivered it.

“This particular one we are starting today is 7.1km. So you can imagine what we are doing within this axis, which is over 19.3km of road as our investment in the lives of the people of Ipo and Igwuruta communities.”

Promising that the project would be delivered within eight months, he said, “As soon as this road is completed and put to use, you no longer have any business with the old road. The old road will be tolled.

“There will be a toll-gate at the entrance of the old road to the Airport. I believe if you don’t have any serious business in the Airport, you won’t go there. If you are coming to the village, you use the bypass.
