Reactions as Comedian AY sends ‘unromantic’ birthday wish to wife

Stand-up comedian, Ayo Makun, has stirred reactions following his ‘unromantic’ birthday wish to his wife, Mabel Makun.

The actor gave a shout-out to Mabel via his Instagram page, describing her as the mother of his lovely kids.

Unlike his previous birthday posts, where he always wrote sweet words to felicitate her day, this birthday message was without any romantic words.

AY went on to say a word of prayer for her.

He said: “Happy birthday to @realmabelmakun the mother of my lovely kids. May you be blessed with everything your heart desires.”

The comedian later edited his caption calling her the industrious mother of his kids as he prayed for her to remain happy and prayed her new age is loaded with good things.

“Happy birthday to @realmabelmakun. The very Industrious Mummy Michelle and Ayomide. I pray that your new year is loaded with every good thing and that you will continue to be happy always with more grace and love in Jesus’ name. Amen”.

Approach women you think are out of your league – Reno Omokri charges men

Controversial political activist Reno Omokri has offered advice to men regarding the courage to approach women whom they perceive as being beyond their league.

He encouraged men to boldly pursue even the most beautiful girls, suggesting that hesitance due to a perceived discrepancy in attractiveness indicates serious issues of inferiority complex and low self-esteem.

Omokri emphasised that confidence and audacity are highly attractive traits to most women.

Concluding his message on his X platform, he revealed that attempting to ask out beautiful women teaches valuable lessons: either one learns to handle rejection or it becomes a stepping stone to personal success.

He said: “As a young man, force yourself to talk to the most beautiful girls you are attracted to. Girls that you think are out of your reach. It does not matter if you think she is out of your league.

“That is an inferiority complex and lack of self-esteem talking. Silence those voices and go for your dream woman. Be bold and approach them to ask them out. Women love boldness and audacity and hate arrogance. So be audaciously bold.

“She will either say yes or no. If she says yes, you have your dream girl. If she says no, you will learn how to handle rejection. And let me tell you, in life, few things will help you in your journey to success as learning how to handle rejection.”
