    Waitress calls out May D over N11,000 food debt

    A waitress has accused Singer May D of owing N11,000 for food and drink bill since January. 

    The waitress @dblaqgoddess232 alleged the singer and friends came to the hotel where she works on January 12, 2024 for food and drinks which amounted to N56,000.

    She claimed May D and friends left for a club that same day and didn’t arrive until the next day. 

    When it was time to reconcile account by 10 am the next day, she decided to contact the singer through a phone number offered by a friend still in the hotel.

    The lady alleged that he had given her an offensive reply instead.

    After much back and forth, he finally paid N45,000 with an outstanding balance of N11,000 since January.

    She wrote: “My encounter with a celebrity as a waitress….Disclaimer: this isn’t clout chasing, I just want my money!!!

    “So about two months ago Mr MayD and friends came to the hotel where I work to lodge, and I served them food and drinks, it was on Friday, 12 of Jan,2024….

    “So after he had foods and drinks on Friday, they all went to the club and didn’t come back that same night, was so scared coz I would have been the one to pay if he ended up not paying, but one of his friends was still in the hotel so I was a bit assured I’ll get the money..

    “Fast forward to the next day which was on Saturday 13th,of Jan 2024.
    Our hotel rule is to do our sales account before 10am in the morning, so I got his contact from his friend who was in the hotel to reach out to him so I can get the money and his response was totally offensive.

    “Still I kept my cool coz I wouldn’t want to get blocked and end up paying for money I didn’t owe, which I still did coz he only sent part of his payment and I had to cover up the balance of 11k with my salary at the end of the month…”

    Popular video jockey and television presenter, Adams Ibrahim Adebola professionally known as VJ Adams has disclosed a challenging period in his career where he endured being owed eight months’ salary.

    In a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, VJ Adams affirmed this ordeal but chose not to reveal the name of the organisation he worked for at the time.

    According to him, despite the financial strain, his dedication to his work prevented him from resigning.

    He said: “I was owed 8-month salary, all the other presenters resigned, they left. So there was a demand for the work to continue, and I was willing. You were going here to work; oya, let’s go, na. I enjoy what I’m doing, so it’s not a problem, I was working non-stop. I was showing up every day.”

    VJ Adams noted that he continued to render his services when other presenters resigned because there was a demand for the job to proceed and he was willing to work.

    Recounting the event, the TV presenter shared that he regretted asking his younger colleagues to tolerate the same and continue working because he was older and had gone through the experience.

    He apologised to his younger colleagues and also emphasised that no employee should undergo such an experience.

    Veteran actor Prince Emeka Ani has praised Sabinus after collaborating with him on a project.

    Speaking about it in a video, the veteran actor said his phone briefly froze when he received an enormous credit alert from Sabinus.

    Ani praised the fellow actor and AMVCA-winning comedian for the wonderful manner he treated him during the project.

    Explaining how the comedian treated him in a royal way, he said that Sabinus had driven a Prado Jeep to pick him up from Asaba, Delta state, for a project involving the creation of a skit in Port Harcourt.

    He revealed that the whole production process had lasted 15 mins but he was lounged in a very expensive hotel and given the best treatment.

    His words: “During my stay, he accommodated me in one of the finest hotels in Port Harcourt and arranged for a Prado Jeep to take me back to Asaba. Truly grateful for the royal treatment. Nobody has given me such respect and priority.

    “After shooting a 15-minute skit with Sabinus, I was treated like royalty. He paid me before I even left Asaba, and the alert from him froze my phone for a few seconds.”

    According to Bobrisky, he has undergone gender change surgery and no longer a man or a crossdresser. 

    The Lagos transvestite dragged the popular media outlet, for referring to him as a crossdresser.

    He educated them on the distinction between a crossdresser, A transgender and a trans woman.

    He maintained that he should be referred to as a trans woman from henceforth.
