    Burna Boy reacts to Eedris Abdulkareem’s comment on ‘Stup!d talk’

    Grammy-winning singer, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy, has criticised his colleague, Eedris Abdulkareem, who tagged his statement from 2020 about no artist paving the way for his career as ‘stupid talk’.

    Eedris made this statement in an interactive session during “The Honest Bunch” podcast.

    The Jaga Jaga hitmaker addressed the misconception that Burna Boy has with his colleagues.

    In 2020, the ‘Last Last’ crooner caused a stir on the internet when he claimed that none of his senior colleagues paved the way for him.

    According to Burna, in the Nigerian music scene, nobody ever lent him a hand because everyone was too caught up either in their pursuits or in begrudging others’ success.

    The podcast slated for release on Monday, February 19, saw Eedris unleashing his wrath at his younger counterpart regarding his statement.

    He said: “You hear someone like Burna Boy say no one helped him in Nigeria. That’s stupid talk.”

    After Abdulkareem’s remarks, Burna Boy took to social media platform X to fire back.

    In a now-deleted post, he not only threatened to settle the score with the veteran rapper whenever they crossed paths but also rubbed salt in the wound by mentioning Abdulkareem’s recent kidney battle.

    His statement on social media read: “Abdul Kareem abi wetin dem dey call your papa, I no blame you. I blame people wey donate money for your hospital bills. And I wish say you be person wey fit dey enter the kind places wey I dey dey make we use mistake kam.”

    Actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has responded to accusations of age reduction with a spirited rebuttal.

    The Nation reported that the light-skinned movie star marked her 35th birthday on Wednesday, expressing excitement for another year of growth and self-improvement.

    Despite her celebration, many doubted the authenticity of her age, prompting criticism in her comment section.

    In response, Nkechi Blessing told her detractors to continue to dwell on her age while admonishing them for their lack of progress.

    She wrote: “Let’s have a private house party. It’s still about the Big 35, all you doubting Thomas can choke on my Age for real tho, no be me say make una stagnant at una age.”

    Eedris Abdulkareem removes Burna Boy’s ‘Odogwu’ title, crowns Davido

    Hip-hop artist, Eedris Abdulkareem, has degraded the acclaimed ‘African Giant’, Burna Boy while crowing Davido as the real Odogwu.

    In a series of videos on social media, Eedris Abdulkareem knocked Burna Boy, making it clear that he is not living up to his self-proclaimed identity ‘Odogwu.’

    According to him, Davido is the real Odogwu, not Burna Boy, due to Davido’s contributions to society and several other achievements.

    His statement: “You’re not behaving like an African person; you’re behaving like a (caption this). Please take it easy, dude. Wetin happen?”

    “Davido has been there before you; Wizkid has been there before you; a lot of people have been there before you. You’re not a giant, you’re not the giant of Africa.”

    “It’s the same thing I said to 2face Idibia; I told him he’s the plantation, the rest, my boys, but don’t let it get to your head.”

    “Na Davido be Odogwu; I no know you. Na Davido be the only Odogwu wey we know because he has added value to the lives of people, and he’s not trying to take anybody’s shine.”

    Singer Tiwa Savage has cried out about the poor condition of her eyesight.  

    The afrobeats sensation took to her Instagram to share the moment she realised her vision was bad. 

    She acknowledged that for the past two to three years, she has been experiencing difficulties with her eyesight, explaining that when she attempts to read, her vision becomes blurry and the situation has worsened considerably.

    Tiwa Savage revealed that she finds herself having to take screenshots of messages and then zoom in on them using her camera to read them.

    Having experienced this, she went visiting an Optician in London, who informed her that while her long-range vision is somewhat acceptable, her short-range vision is problematic.

    To alleviate the discomfort, the singer has obtained a recommended pair of glasses, although humorously questioning whether she still maintains her beauty charm with them on.

    In her words: “Guys the last two or three years, I have been noticing that I will be squinting sometimes and when I read some stuff, it would be getting blurry.

    “And in the last few months, I noticed it got really bad that sometimes I will have to screen grab a message and then go back into my camera and zoom. So when I was in London, I said let me go and see the Optician.

    “So my long sight is okay for now, he said, not great; but my short sight (shakes her head). Like literally, I will be in a restaurant and I won’t be able to read the menu.

    “But for now, your girl is back and you know I needed to make some luxury and got myself a cartel pair because ABG don’t play. Do I still look sexy?”.

    Grammy-nominated singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has disclosed what his father, Adedeji Adeleke, said to him before the commencement of the just concluded 66th Grammy Awards ceremony.

    The Nation reported that the 2024 Grammy Awards was held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 4, 2024. 

    Davido, who is a first time Grammy nominee, failed to secure any of the three categories he was nominated for, as all Nigerian nominees lost out.

    However, speaking during a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the singer said his father told him that he remains a legend regardless of the night’s outcome. 

    He insisted that being nominated for the just concluded 66th edition of the Grammys Awards is enough to make him proud of himself.

    He said: “Being nominated alone is enough to make me proud of myself. I just want my song to be heard on the radio once or twice in the beginning, but for it to transcend to this is just amazing and God’s doing.
