  • #BBNaija: Khafi Kareem the ‘controversial’ constable and self-acclaimed ‘celibate’

    Prior to Big Brother Naija 2019 ‘Pepper Dem’ edition, ‘Khafi Kareem’, was just a regular UK policewoman with dreams and aspirations to make it big in her own way.

    Interestingly, for the first time in the history of the competition, Khafi Kareem was one of the twenty-one Big Brother Naija 2019 housemates. She however got evicted from the reality show on Sunday, September 15.

    Khafi is a native of Ekiti, Nigeria, but she lives in London. Khafi who is aged 29 years old, is also a Police Officer in London.

    Her exit is coming after spending a total of 77 days and eleven weeks in the house thus bringing an end to her journey in the race for the mouth-watering cash prize of N30 million and other rewards bringing the total prize N60 million.

    Upon her entry into the house, she had Nigerians talking on Twitter especially with her status as a constable with the Metropolitan police UK.

    A quick look at her lifestyle especially during the house sojourn reveals that she’s a lady full of energy and positive vibes. She’s of the opinion that ‘you can reach anything as long as you believe in yourself’. She likes public speaking, dancing and singing.

    Khafi dislikes people who also try to control her or block her self-expression.

    While in the house, Khafi won the Innoson vehicle valued at N3.85 million during a challenge, she also won 220,000 Scanfrost TV during the ‘Scanforst challenge’, Arla cooking challenge, a co-winner of the Indomie N1million challenge, a co-winner of the TravelBeta challenge under team Lagos that won N1million prize.

    Recently, she dominated the news, both local and international, for allegedly breaching the rules and regulations at her workplace.

    It was reported that the she might face disciplinary actions from her employers, MET Police for partaking in BBNaija.

    A report published by several UK news outlets noted that she was refused permission to appear on the show by her superiors.

    However, the reality star’s management said the reports were not only derogatory but sensational.

    The management claimed that the UK Sun failed to inquire or get her side of the story before publishing the article.

    One of the highlights of Big Brother Naija 2019 has been the relationship between Khafi and Gedoni.

    Gedoni and Khafi did not only cross the line but they did rub it in the faces of other housemates, night after night.

    Ekpata Gedoni is a fashion entrepreneur from Cross River.

    In the post-eviction interview, Khafi said she bonded with Gedoni in the first week because they were both up for eviction.

    She told Ebuka that she believes he loves her as much she loves him, adding that she was a forlorn lover when he was evicted.

    In what appeared to be a controversy, Gedoni and Khafi were first captured in a sex act in the house on Saturday, July 20, then again on Tuesday, July 23, and again on Monday, July 29.

    Khafi revealed to Gedoni that she abstained from sex for eight years, after she converted from Islam to Christianity.

    Khafi has however maintained that she did not have sex with Gedoni. She reiterated that she is still celibate and did not have sex on the show.

    On his part, Gedoni has repeatedly said that they did not have sex and the rumours were unfounded.

    When asked to address the sex rumours, Gedoni told show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that he was unhappy that the rumour went viral and felt terrible about it.

    He added, “I think I will allow Khafi to ask whether we had sex or not. There were intense moments but sex, no.”

    He detailed the moment he felt sparks for the bubbly Khafi and stated that his feelings for her were real.

    However, Gedoni Ekpata has reassured fans that his relationship with his love interest/co-star, Khafi Kareem is beyond the show.

    Gedoni said that he would be open to date his co-star, Khafi after the ongoing Big Brother Naija season four ends.

    So perhaps, while we might have assumed — whether because of their few on-screen bedtime moments or their romantic displays — that Gedoni and Khafi had sex number of times, they are both responsible for their private affairs or their public display of love.

  • Khafi evicted from #BBNaija reality show

    Khafi Kareem has been evicted from the Big Brother Naija house.

    Her exit is coming after spending 77 days and nine weeks in the House.

    While in the house, the 29-year old won the Innoson vehicle valued at N3.85 million and a 220,000 Scanfrost TV during the Scanforst challenge.

    She also walked away with Arla cooking challenge and was  co-winner of the Indomie N1million challenge and  co-winner of the TravelBeta challenge under team Lagos that won N1million prize.

    Khafi, speaking on stage after her eviction, thanked everyone for supporting her during the show.

    She also said Gedoni was naive by being overly friendly with other girls, while in the house. She further told everyone that she is “now good with Seyi”.

    Ten housemates are left in the show, contesting for 60 million naira. They are, Omashola, Tacha, Mercy, Diane, and Frodd.

    Others are Cindy, Elozonam, Mike, Seyi and Ike.

  • BBNaija: I never had sex with Gedoni, says Khafi

    Khafi Kareem, one of the housemates in the ongoing BBNaija (S4) reality show has maintained that she did not have sex with love interest, Gedoni Ekpata.

    She reiterated that she is still celibate and would not have sex on the show.

    News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Khafi, an officer with the UK Metropolitan Police, disclosed this to other housemates while they shared stories of things unknown to other people about them.

    The former Head of House said she has been celibate for years as a part of healing for some issues she had in her life at a point.

    The news came as a surprise for many fans as Khafi was earlier reported to have had sex with now-evicted love interest, Gedoni Ekpata while he was still in the house.

    The mystery was resolved when fellow housemate, Ike Oyeama, on Thursday, revealed that he and Diana, a fellow housemate planted a condom by Khafi and Gedoni’s bed as a prank. It sparked rumours that the duo had sex.

    Ike told a shocked Khafi that he initially wanted to plant the prank for Omashola and Tacha but was almost caught by the latter, causing him to settle for Khafi and Gedoni.

    Reacting to the news, Khafi said, “Everyone was going to think it was me and Gedoni but my mind is clear, my conscience is clear, it’s not us. It was very funny.

    “Me and Gedoni looked at each other and was like, no; I am a very physically affectionate person. Nothing will happen in the house,” she said.

    Interestingly, the clip of this discussion was only available on Showmax, DStv’s on-demand platform which few fans have access to, and not the regular BBNaija station.

    ShowMax has additional stations that show exclusive BBNaija clips that put some of the discussions into context, leaving the audience with half information on the main channel.

    In the Khafi and Gedoni alleged sex saga, some fans interpreted the prank as evidence and shared these opinions on various social media platforms.

    This led to series of trolling and hate towards the duo of Khafi and Gedoni a.k.a Khadoni from some social media users.

    On Aug. 13, The Sun Uk was the first international medium to publish fans’ speculation and infer that the 29-year-old UK Metro police officer was pregnant.

    The story was analysed on major UK news channels, causing Khafi’s management to release a statement describing the news as misleading and untrue.

    NAN reports that, on his part, Gedoni has repeatedly said that they did not have sex and the rumours were unfounded.

  • BBNaija: Khafi, Tacha, Mike, Seyi up for eviction

    Housemates, Khafi Kareem, Mike Edwards, Tacha Akide and Seyi Awolowo are up for possible eviction.

    News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the list was announced on Monday night in the ongoing BBNaija season four.

    For the 11th week, Biggie continued with the process of populating the eviction nomination list as housemates did the nominations.

    Seyi nominated Tacha and Khafi, Mercy nominated Omashola and Tacha while Frodd nominated Mike and Ike for Eviction.

    Also, Omashola nominated Mercy and Tacha, Khafi nominated Seyi and Mercy and Tacha nominated Seyi and Mike for Eviction.

    Mike Nominated Omashola and Tacha, Ike Nominated Diane and Khafi, and Elozonam put up Frodd and Tacha for Eviction.

    Finally, Diane nominated Omashola and Mike while Cindy nominated Diane and Ike for Eviction.

    At the end of nominations, Khafi, Mike, Tacha and Omashola were put up for possible eviction. However, Omashola used his veto power to replace himself with Seyi.

    Nominated housemates consist of two former heads of House, Seyi and Khafi. Also, Mike and Tacha have polled impressive votes when previously nominated.

    NAN reports that nominated housemates will learn their fates on Sunday, Sept. 15 as fans scramble to vote for them.

  • #BBNaija: Cindy emerges head of House

    Cindy has emerged as the new head of house after winning the Monday challenge.

    The challenge required the housemates throwing balls into a pot hole created by Big Brother. However, the twist to the game was that the housemate with the highest amount of balls hanging to on would either win or move to the next round.

    Frodd, Diane, Cindy, and Mercy advanced to the next round, after succeeding in the first round.

    Housemates were instructed to fill a test tube to the brim in the second round using a teaspoon using just one hand. Big  Brother instructed that each housemate should indicate when they are done filling the test tubes.

    After two intense minutes, Cindy won, and she automatically becomes head of house.

    She has thus won 250 bet9ja coins, immunity for the week, and exclusive access to the ‘Head Of House’ room.

    When asked to pick one of the housemates to enjoy the ‘Head Of House’ room, Cindy surprisingly picked Mike.

     

  • BBNaija: Omashola wins Veto power

    Omashola Oburoh has won this week’s veto power of chance in the ongoing BBNaija season four.

    With this card, he gets to save and replace himself if he is put up for eviction.

    Omashola can also decide to another housemate with the privilege and put himself up for eviction.

    News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Omashola clinched the card on Sunday night, shortly after Venita’s eviction.

    The challenge, which was the fastest so far in the game, saw Omashola win 100 Bet9ja coins and the save and replace privilege that comes with the position.

    The challenge was a simple one of unlocking a padlock from one steel wire mesh and placing the unlocked padlock on a stool next to the table of keys.

    There were 33 padlocks locked on the steel wire mesh with their keys placed randomly on the table.

    All the Housemates were asked to do was pick one and open a padlock. The Game did not go long as expected as Omashola unlocked a padlock in record time.

    Although Omashola was the first to unlock his padlock, he was closely followed by Mercy and Ike.

    The Icy pair have been doing quite well in house games recently. They both competed fiercely to jointly win the current Head of House title.

    Following his win, an excited Omashola, who escaped eviction on Sunday, shouted, “I get another week in the House.”

  • BBNaija: Wike commends Tacha, wishes her well

    Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has hailed Tacha one of the housemates in the ongoing Big Brother Naija season 4.

    Wike via Twitter wished her the best as she competes for the grand prize of N60 million.

    Tacha, during a task presentation, said governor Wike impacted her life positively.

    Reacting to this, the governor said: “ I appreciate the mention and wish Tacha all the best #bbnaija.”

    This week’s Wager Task Challenge theme was to show love to the elderly ones by developing five presentations which included painting, sculpture, knitting, a poem and a unique special piece.

    Team Enigma, however, won the task.

    After the latest eviction, twelve housemates are now competing for the N60million prize.

  • #BBNAIJA: Esther is a sneaky girl, says Ike

    ESTHER may be out of the Big Brother Naija house, but she’s not out of the minds of her now ex-housemates.

    Lovebirds and current co-Heads of House, Mercy and Ike, still have some spicy words to share about Esther, as we’ve seen on the latest episode of Showmax’s Extra View.

    During a discussion between Mercy and Ike, the former revealed that Esther had played a fast one with Diane over Nelson. Fans of the show will remember that Nelson, an ex-housemate, had been a love interest of BFFs Esther and Diane while he was in the house.

    “We were talking about who we like in the house and Diane told Esther that she likes Nelson, and the next two days she (Esther) took Nelson,” Mercy shared with Ike.

    Continuing she said: “Diane told me she didn’t see Tuoyo as a boyfriend; I like Tuoyo differently. I have feelings for this person (Nelson) and she made it very clear; she didn’t hide it. Then the day we had this discussion, it was still Esther who asked us who she (Diane) liked. She didn’t want to, but Diane just said it and the next thing you (Esther) are with this guy and we don’t even know what happened”.

    Mercy further revealed that Esther didn’t state that she liked Nelson during the discussion, leading Ike to describe Esther as a “sneaky girl”.

    During his last days in the house, Nelson shared more than a few cuddly moments with Esther, an action which Mercy has now revealed affected Diane badly.

    This is the first time ever that two housemates will rule as head of house at the same time in the Big Brother Naija reality show .

    Big Brother offered both housemates the offer, with both of them winning the game of throwing balls into the cup. He however told them to decide who will be on immunity this week.
