  • BBNaija: Khafi wins N7.6m car

    Housemate, Khafi Kareem has won a 7.6 million Naira IVM Fox car in the ongoing BBNaija season four.

    News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Khafi won the car prize during the ‘Proudly Nigerian’ challenge on Saturday.

    The challenge, sponsored by Nigerian brand, Innosson Motors, tasked housemates to present their Nigerian stories and highlight the beauty of being Nigerian.

    During the first round, housemates gave passioned presentations on their Nigerian story, however, Khafi’s Excellent and inspiring presentation got viewers emotional.

    At the end of the first round, housemates were asked to pull ribbons attached to the Innosson car. Those who dropped the ribbons were disqualified.

    After some housemates were distracted by Pizza and noise, Khafi, Mercy, Cindy and Jackye were the last ones standing.

    NAN reports that the other women eventually dropped their ribbon, leaving Khafi to win the coveted prize.

    Reacting to her win, Khafi said she loved the red colour and the car would be her first.

    Fans have taken to social media to congratulate her and pass remarks about her moving speech.

    @Juliet_ said, “Congrats Khafi, a win well deserved. Proudly Nigerian indeed.”

    @Miracle tweeted, “She was the first that entered into that car and blow the horn of the car,she had one of the best speech,she is the deserving winner,kudus baby girl,I am happy u won.”

    @Tessyme said, “She waz Determined from start.. And thanked God for her first car even before wining it. Am happy for her.”

  • BBNaija: ‘Omashola TV’ steals the show

    Omashola Oburoh, a housemate in the ongoing Big Brother Naija reality show, has stunned fans with his creative project, ‘Omashola TV’.

    News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Omashola’s makeshift television was part of the wager presentation by his group, ‘The Icons’.

    The television was modeled after the old box televisions that required aerial tuning, and contained programmes such as the BBNaija show and Warri TV.

    Omashola designed the television entirely from scrap, waste material in line with the theme of the wager task.

    The innovation earned him praise from other housemates, especially Mike who specially congratulated him.
    Fans also shared their thoughts on Twitter.

    @MissBarosi wrote, “Omashola’s tv was mind blowing,unexpected. The fact that it changed channels, that was a Bomb.”

    NAN reports that Ike’s handmade chess board was another highlight of the wager presentation.

    He collaborated with Cindy and Khafi to paint and make chess miniatures from waste materials.

    Omashola TV, Ike’s chess/checkers board and Khafi’s quote were major contributors to ‘The Icons’ win over ‘Cruisetopia’.

    The team had their third win in a row on Thursday, following their last wager and nomination task win.

  • BBNaija: Again! ‘The Icons’ wins wager task

    ‘The Icons’ group of the ongoing Big Brother Naija reality show, have won this week’s wager task.

    News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the group has been on a streak as this is their third win in a row following their nomination task win and previous wager win.

    ‘The Icons’ beat out ‘Cruisetopia’, whose members except Venita are already up for eviction, in the series of games set by Biggie on Thursday.

    In line with the theme of the week, the ‘Pepper Dem Gang’ were tasked on three elements around the subject of healthy living.

    Judged on creativity, participation and holistic messaging, ‘The Icons’ and ‘Cruisetopia’ teams each displayed elements which reflected the three features around the subject of healthy living.

    For the first segment of this challenge, the teams were required to contribute to a cleaner environment by recycling items otherwise considered as waste in the House.

    In this element, three members of each team took turns as they presented the recycled projects accomplished by the team.

    ‘The Icons’ presented a bunch of recycled items in the form of a television set, a chessboard, a teddy bear and an hourglass.

    While team ‘Cruisetopia’ displayed their reused items in the form of an aeroplane, a mosaic painting and a car.

    For the second presentation, both teams explained how relationships can be nourished and also how a healthy space for all to thrive can be created.

    To this end, the teams were tasked to develop two separate talks on healthy relationships in seven minutes.

    With Jackye and Esther representing team ‘Cruisetopia’, Elozonam and Cindy for ‘The Icons’, each team gave insightful points as they individually took turns to present separate talks on healthy relationships.

    The third element challenged the teams to present twelve yoga poses as a means of creating a happy mind.

    On this challenge, Sir Dee and Frodd represented ‘Cruisetopia’, while Mercy and Diane displayed on behalf of ‘The Icons’.

    For the final wager presentation, Khafi (for ‘The Icons’) and Mike (for ‘Cruisetopia’) each had five minutes to present a single illustrated original positive and uplifting quote for both teams.

    NAN reports that Frodd, Sir Dee, Ike, Tacha, Mercy and Diane were given verbal awards for individual efforts.

    Meanwhile, for losing this week’s Wager Challenge, Biggie announced that team ‘Cruisetopia’ will be awarded a losing punishment reward.

    For winning, ‘The Icons’ left the Arena with this week’s Wager trophy and a bonus of 20 Bet9ja Coins for each team member.

  • Video: BBNaija: Frodd, Sir Dee prank Esther on birthday

    Frodd and Sir Dee, both housemates in the ongoing Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem episode, during the early hours of Thursday, pranked Esther, another housemate, on her birthday.

    The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Frodd and Sir Dee, acted a heated argument cum near exchange of fisticuffs scenes, prompting other housemates, including Esther to rush out of their corners to prevent a fight.

    Esther, who had no clue of the prank, held Frodd back from fighting Sir Dee, while other housemates also acted along.

    Frodd in the arms of Esther pleaded to be left alone, saying he only wanted to make Sir Dee see reason from his point of argument.

    Esther was still standing between Frodd and Sir Dee, when both men, joined by other housemates, suddenly chorused “Happy Birthday to you”.

    Shocked and overwhelmed, Esther ran to a corner where she was later hugged by her fellow housemates, who wished her happy birthday in turns.

    Esther Olaoluwa Agunbiade, who was on Monday, Aug. 19, crowned the Head of House (HOH) is 23 years old.

    She is a fashion entrepreneur cum Lagos-based lawyer, called to bar at age 21.

    Following the prank, the two housemates are currently trending on Twitter and being described as the best actors in the house by fans on Twitter, including Olamide, a.k.a. Badoo, a popular Nigerian artiste.

  • BBNaija: Cruisetopia, Frodd up for possible eviction

    Housemates in ‘Cruisetopia’ group and Frodd are up for possible eviction in the ongoing fourth season of the Big Brother Naija reality show.

    News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the group lost this nomination task to ‘The Icons’ who were up for eviction last week.

    Housemates up for possible Eviction this week are Diane, Frodd, Jackye, Gedoni, Mercy, Mike and Seyi.

    Although Frodd is a member of the winning team ‘The Icons’, he was placed on the eviction list by Elozonam, who saved Venita with the power of chance card.

    For five minutes, ‘The Icons’ and team ‘Cruisetopia’ were Tasked to a Challenge which involved each and every team member’s participation, including the head of house, Esther.

    There were two marked rectangular boxes for each team, each rectangular box had a large bucket of coloured water and ten small silver cups.

    The teams were required to fill as much of the silver cups as possible in the frame of five minutes.

    The Challenge involved the Housemates climbing Biggie’s ‘obstacles’. Biggie had some deliberate ‘steps’ obstacle on the course to tighten the game.

    Using their carefully thought out strategies, each team had to fill the silver cups one at a time.

    Following Biggie’s rules, each cup had to be filled to the brim before the team could proceed to the next cup – all to be done within the marked box.

    For this Challenge, teaspoons were provided for the purpose of transporting the water.

    NAN reports that as the game hit day 51, housemates pull out strategies to increase chances of winning the 60 million Naira Grand Prize.

  • BBNaija (S4): Elozonam wins Veto power

    Elozonam Ogbolu, a housemate in the ongoing BBNaija reality show, has won this week’s veto power of chance card.

    News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the game of chance was held on Sunday night shortly after the eviction.

    While still trying to shake off the Eviction shock, the ‘Pepper Dem Gang’ were asked to move into the Arena for the Veto Power Game of Chance.

    The chance card offers the winner 100 Bet9ja coins up for grabs and the power to Save and Replace.

    In alphabetical order, each housemate was asked to pick a number card from the magic hat. Cindy, Diane, Elozonam, Esther, Frodd, Gedoni, Jackye, Ike, Khafi went first.

    Then Mercy, Mike, Omashola, Seyi, Sir Dee, Tacha and Venita also did theirs.

    After that, one by one, the Housemates dipped their hands into 32 gooey filled buckets from which each brought out different items.

    In the first attempt, no one was able to fetch the badge. On a second try, Elozonam got lucky and revealed the Veto Power badge.

    For this, he became the winner of the Veto Power Game of Chance and has earned himself the power to Save and Replace any Housemate at the Nomination Task on Monday.

    He has also won 100 Bet9ja coins and 10 Betja coins for each member of his team, ‘The Icons’.

    NAN reports that on Sunday, Enkay of ‘The Icons’ and Joe from ‘Cruisetopia’ were evicted from the game.

  • Joe, Enkay evicted from 2019 #BBNaija

    Joseph Abdallah known as Joe and Ede Nkechinyere known as  Enkay have been evicted from the 2019 Big Brother Naija.

    Both housemates were among those recently brought into the #PepperDem house by Big brother.

    During his time in the house, Joe was issued a strike by Big brother for engaging in a heated argument with fellow housemate Tacha. He was said to have provoked his fellow housemate into hitting him with her hands.

    Enkay is widely remembered for her refusal to play the ludo game with Cindy, her fellow housemate.

    Speaking with Ebuka on stage, Enkay said “I love Cindy. It had nothing to do with the ludo game”

    The game continues with sixteen housemates running for 60 million naira.

     

  • BBNaija’s Khafi to The Sun UK: Apologise or be sued

    Big Brother Naija (BBN) Season 4 housemate, Khafi Kareem, simply called Khafi, has demanded an immediate retraction of the publication by The Sun UK (United Kingdom) and a public apology to her within the next 48 hours.

    Khafi, who, as part of the rules in BBNaija reality show, did not have access to phones, reacted to the story published by The Sun UK on August 13, through her management.

    Khafi’s management said legal options were also being considered. They described the story as brazenly sensational and defamatory, written in poor taste without considering the ethics of journalism, which seeks balance and objectivity.

    The statement reads: “The attention of Khafi’s management has been drawn to a publication by The Sun UK of Tuesday, August 13, titled: ‘LOIN OF DUTY Met Police “poster girl” faces sack for “having sex” on Nigerian Big Brother after being told not to take part’.

    “At no time did The Sun UK send a mail of inquiry to Khafi’s official email, which is blasted across her social media platforms under active management, to confirm or refute the claims in the publication.

    “Khafi’s side of the story is deliberately and conveniently omitted to sell a pre-conceived narrative while responses from ‘outraged colleagues’ and ‘other papers’ riddle the publication.

    “This comes from a repressive culture of shaming and characterising women for their sexual decisions and life choices.

    “We find The Sun UK’s publication repulsive and damaging to the image and livelihood of our client.

    “Khafi is a proud black female police officer who prides herself in her work and has dedicated her youthful years protecting and serving with her many skills, which include the ability to speak at least five international languages.”

    Khafi, a Metropolitan Police officer in the UK, is currently under investigation for appearing on the reality TV show without permission.

    According The Sun UK, the BBNaija contestant was on unpaid leave granted “for an unrelated ­reason”.

    “The Met is aware that the officer has since appeared on the show without authority. The Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed and will be carrying out an investigation into the circumstances.

    “The Met does not support the officer’s appearance nor does she represent the Met whilst appearing on the show.

    “All officers have a duty to behave with professionalism and in a manner that does not bring the Met into disrepute, whether on or off duty.”

    The report concluded that she would be dealt for alleged misconduct proceedings.

    Khafi’s flirting with a fellow housemate, Gedoni, might have added to the query, as the duo were always spotted together on several occasions.

  • #BBnaija2019: Bobrisky declares full support for Tacha

    The Big Brother Naija season four is getting more interesting every day, as this week’s eviction is going to take another dimension.

    Last week, Biggie divided the housemates into two group, namely: the ‘Icons’ and the ‘Cruisetopia’.

    The Icons include;

    *Cindy,

    *Elozonam,

    *Enkay, Frodd,

    *Ike,

    *Khafi,

    *Omashola,

    *Sir Dee and

    *Tacha

    While the Cruisetopia include:

    After failing their task, Biggie placed the The ‘Icons’ of the ongoing fourth season of the Big Brother Naija reality show, for possible eviction.

    Diane use her power to save and replaced a Housemate.

    She saved Sir Dee and replaced him with Joe, putting him in the list of those up for Eviction.

    This has since triggered fans all over the continent and beyond to start voting for their favourite house mate.

    Nigerian male Barbie, Bobrisky has therefore declared support for Tacha.

    Urging his followers to start voting massively for her.

    He assured Tacha that she will be staying in the house till 99 days.

    Claiming that Tacha has always been a good fan of his, before she entered the big brother house’.

    He said “we are not surprised you are up for possible eviction this week again. Baby chill and relax your Bobrisky is here for you, you are staying in that house till 99 days.”

    One of his followers then quickly reacted by commenting “Bobby you are on your own this time ooooo, tomorrow another Nina will show her real self.”

    Bobrisky then replied her saying “naaa Tacha has been my baby for years…. She has always been a good fan, before she entered the big brother house.”

    Bobriskyended up by saying ‘No Tacha No Big brother.
