    AGN’s president reveals burial date for late actor Don Brymo Uchegbu

    The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Ejezie Emeka Rollas, has officially announced the scheduled date for the burial of the late Nollywood actor, Don Brymo Uchegbu.

    The Nation had in June 2023, reported that the prominent actor passed away in his sleep after collapsing on a movie set and subsequently being rushed to the hospital.

    Emeka Rollas shared a flyer on his Instagram page, providing details of the upcoming burial events for Don Brymo.

    The actor’s wake was held on Sunday, August 20, by his family in Anambra state, and his burial is scheduled for Friday, August 25.

    In his condolence message, Emeka Rollas expressed his grief: “May you rest in peace, Don Brymo. RIP @actorsguildofnigeria @agn.tv.”

    Along list of performers have been announced as organisers of Headies prepare for the 16th edition in Atlanta, United States of America.

     In a recent statement, the list of performers for the event is led by American cum global rap star and music executive, Sean Combs aka Diddy.

     Diddy, according to the organisers, is joined by wave-making Nigerian Afrobeats stars including Asake, Ayra Starr, Fireboy, Blaqbonez, Johnny Drille, KCee, and Oxlade.

     Others are Rema, Seyi Vibez, Spyro, Victony, and Wande Coal while 63-year-old Senegalese singer, Youssou Ndour will be inducted into the Hall of Fame for his contribution and strides in world music.

The house prize, which is being bankrolled by Citadel Views Estate, is to complement the 16th Headies award for the Rookie of the Year category.

    Tunde Aina’s thrilling Nollywood epic movie, ‘Underbelly,’ premiered on Prime Video on Friday, August 18.

     The movie stars Stan Nze, Femi Adebayo, Kunle Coker, Akume Akume, among others. It was produced by Tunde Aina and Chloe Coco and directed by Toka Mcbaror.

     ‘Underbelly’ tells the story of two friends who travel from the western part of Nigeria to the north, hoping to find greener pastures. It all goes wrong when one of them falls in love with the wrong woman.

     ‘Underbelly’ won the best achievement in production design at AMAA 2022. It was nominated for eleven awards at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) and was one of ten Nigerian movies screened at Africa International Film Festival, Afriff 2022.
