Four celebrities who became infamous after leaked s3x tape

They were on a roller coaster with soaring reputation. But everything dipped after their s3x tapes leaked.

Here are four celebrities whose fame suffered after leaked s3x tapes:

    * Wande Coal

In 2010, many months after the then mohits star released his debut album “Mushin to Mohits” making waves all over the country, pictures of a sleeping naked man bearing a striking resemblance to the artiste were leaked on Facebook and Twitter.

Wande coal eventually debunked the claims that he was the man in the picture, stating that it was photoshopped. Although the raucour caused by the scandal brought him some much needed international attention, the attack on his public image cannot be justified.

    *Chidinma Okeke

The then beauty queen, who was just freshly out of her teenage years and about to complete her tenure as Miss Anambra, woke up to find an explicit video of herself on the internet. The footage showed her engaged in s3xual acts with another girl. Chidinma faced significant backlash and eventually, her title was revoked even though her tenure was almost over.

The 20-year-old finally opened up about the role that the pageantry organisers had to play in the making and leaking of the tape, but a lot of irreversible damage was already done as Nigerians were more concerned with the implied lesbianism

    *Actress Ronke Tiamiyu

Actress and model Ronke Tiamiyu mistakenly shared a video that showed her masturbating. A s3xual video of the former beauty queen went viral a couple of years back after a video of her masturbating leaked or was shared unconsciously on her Snapchat page. It seems Snapchat is the place for s3x tape leaks.

    * Small Doctor

Small Doctor was allegedly caught masturbating on the camera back in 2017. In the viral video posted on Snapchat, the singer was seen stroking his manhood with one hand, while apparently recording the act with his other hand. The ‘Mosquito Killer’ singer blamed hackers for his leaked s3x video.

FACT CHECK: Trending Times Magazine covers on climate change misleading

    Claim

Two different tweets that appeared on the 4th and 8th of November showed some cover pages of Times Magazine showcasing headlines surrounding climate change.

Some of the cover pages shown in the tweet photos are false and tend to be misleading.

The tweet on 4th November was a reply to a tweet by Peter Clark by @FrancisGFox which reads: “Their narrative keeps flip-flopping so they’ve gone for the each way bet of climate change so they can’t lose. Net Zero is an impossibility from same playbook as War on Drugs and War on Terror it’s all a money making scam and form of fear control.”

    Francis’ Tweet

The tweet on the 8th of November by @exRAF_AI reads: “The same people who didn’t want you to question the ‘science’ behind the Covid scam that locked you in your homes don’t want you to question the ‘climate change’ ‘science’ behind Rishi Sunak giving away billions of your money to Pakistan and Africa.”

This tweet had 117 retweets, 7 quote tweets, and 331 Likes.

    Rush’s Tweet

    Verification

The Times Magazine has an archive that has all its editions from 1923. The verification was done by sieving through the archives for each year to compare the cover pages.

Read Also: FACT CHECK: Drought in Kenya a climate change issue

The first cover page in the picture posted by Rush marked 1977 is false because there was no such cover page for 1977. It was also shown in the group of the cover page posted by Francis and marked April 1977 but there was no such cover page.

However,  this cover page appeared on the 9th April 2007 edition with the headline, “The Global Warming Survival Guide. 51 Things you can do to make a difference” and not “How to survive the coming Ice Age.”

Times Covers for April 2007 Editions

For the tweeted photo posted by Francis, two of the cover pages are false.

The Times Cover pages for January 1977, December 1973, December 1979, April 2001, April 2006 and October 1987 editions are true.

However, the Times Cover page for April 1977 is false (explained above).

The cover page for July 2007 is also false.

Times Cover Pages for July 2007 editions

One of the things the posters fail to state is that for every month, there are usually four editions.

The reason for this fact check is that pictures send messages faster than words and for a group of pictures as posted by Rush and Francis, people assume that all of them are true whereas there is a tendency that some false pictures are posted among the real ones.

    Rating

Partly False – Some of the cover pages shown on the tweets were misleading cover pages.

  • Seven reasons you should always sleep naked

Seven reasons you should always sleep naked

It’s no doubt sleep plays a pivotal role in the optimal functionality of every human being.

Though sleeping naked might not be the first thing you think about when it comes to improving your health, there are some benefits that might be too good to ignore.

According to experts, sleeping naked has been proven to be one of the best ways to maintain good health.

Here are seven reasons why you may want to consider getting in your birthday suit before you sleep:

    *It improves blood circulation

When you sleep, your blood circulation increases regardless but sleeping naked stops any clothing like socks or tight pyjamas from restricting blood flow. Remember that good blood circulation is crucial for your heart and muscles.

    * It enhances beauty

Sleeping naked helps your body release anti-aging hormones. Wearing too many layers restricts the proper release of hormones like growth hormones, etc. If these hormones are not released properly, your hair and skin will not be reconditioned.

    *It improves genital health

One of the most compelling reasons to sleep naked is its benefits to the genitals.

According to Dr Hall, sleeping naked can help increase men’s fertility. A recent study of 656 men found that tighter underwear could be linked to a reduced sperm count.

Sleeping naked will keep testicles cool and at the ideal temperature to optimise sperm health.

Note: Airing out your private areas is particularly important for women.

Sleeping without clothes lowers the chances women will get infections due to uncomfy underwears.

It can promote vaginal health and helps to avoid yeast infections which tend to grow in warm and moist places; giving your vagina a chance to air overnight.

Read Also: Five benefits of having enough sleep

*It helps you fall asleep faster/ improves overall sleep

According to experts, stripping to your birthday suit can lower down your temperature and send you off to snooze because it sends cooling down signals to your body that it’s time to go to sleep.

The body’s temperature naturally lowers when we sleep. However, it doesn’t happen when you wear pyjamas.

People who don’t get high-quality sleep each night feel and look unhealthy, which can make them live a shorter life.

    *It strengthens bonds between partners

‘Skin-on-skin contact with your partner can boost your oxytocin levels, which can help combat feelings of sadness in winter according to an expert. The boost of oxytocin can also help to build attachment between partners or strengthening their existing bond.

    *It boosts self-esteem

Sleeping naked is also a great way to get in touch with your body and boost your self-esteem.

One study found that spending time naked helped boost self-esteem and overall body image, which is definitely a win when it comes to embracing self-love.

    *It reduces stress and anxiety

Another reason sleeping naked might be a good change is that it could help reduce your overall stress and anxiety. It’s no secret that poor sleep has a major impact on your stress levels. Studies suggest that poor sleep is linked to depression and even increased suicide risk.

While stress and anxiety can both cause insomnia, it’s important to remember that improving your sleep quality and getting enough sleep may just be what you need to combat stress and anxiety.

Four celebrities making waves after leaked s3x tapes

Despite the fact their s3x tapes went viral, these celebrities are still out there making waves. Although they were criticised as public figures whose fans look up to, their music career, however, didn’t suffer for it.

Here are four celebrities making waves after leaked s3x tapes:

    Tiwa Savage

    * Tiwa Savage

This scandal is very recent and still on the tongue of many fans and foes of the artiste. In October 2021, not long after Tiwa released her most recent album “Water and garri”, the Mavin record artiste opened up to Angie Martinez of Power 105.1FM, stating that she was being blackmailed over a sex tape of her and her partner.

The Afro-beats artiste said that she had decided to let the blackmailers go ahead and release the tape because she wouldn’t let them make money off her for engaging in something as natural as s3x.

This stance, although very inspiring, didn’t deter the blackmailers, nor did it reduce the media backlash when the tape was released in the same month.

The video caused outrage among her fans as many expressed divided opinions. While she got bashed for allowing such as intimate encounter to be recorded, some people stood by her, claiming that s3x was a natural activity and she should not be criticised for it

    * Oxlade

Singer Ikuforiji Olaitan aka Oxlade became a trending topic on social media when his s3x tape was leaked on Snapchat. The video showed the 24-year-old ‘Away’ crooner having s3x with an unidentified lady. Though it dominated discourse on several social media platforms, neither Oxlade nor his management made any comment about it.

    Small Doctor

    * Small Doctor

    BNXN

    *BNXN

BNXN is another celebrity whose video surfaced online while walking naked to a bathroom in an apartment after allegedly having s3x with a Swedish lady.

According to reports, the Swedish lady identified as Filma Jones leaked the video on social media.

Filma claimed she and the singer formerly known as Buju were in a relationship but he recently dumped her after impregnating her.

FACT CHECK: Drought in Kenya a climate change issue

A Twitter user @Osama_otero, posted on the 3rd of November 2022 that the drought in Kenya is not a climate change issue but a food management issue.

The tweet, which reads: “Drought in Kenya is not a climate change issue. It is a food management issue” had 34 retweets, 2 quote tweets and 134 likes.

    Drought in Kenya

National Geographic describes drought as a period when an area or region experiences below-normal precipitation. It states that the lack of adequate precipitation, either rain or snow, can cause reduced soil moisture or groundwater, diminished stream flow, crop damage, and a general water shortage.

According to the WHO, drought can have a serious impact on health, agriculture, economies, energy and the environment. The organization states that an estimated 55 million people globally are affected by droughts every year, and droughts are the most serious hazard to livestock and crops in nearly every part of the world.

The World Food Programme (WFP) estimates that prolonged drought across the Horn of Africa over the past four consecutive rainy seasons has left some 18 million people affected by food shortages in Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya.

The UN World Meteorological Organisation said the drought is the region’s longest in four decades. Kenya is on the brink of its fifth failed rainy season and its metrological department forecasts “drier-than-average conditions” for the rest of the year.

According to the Ministry of Tourism in Kenya, back-to-back seasons of below-average rainfall across the country have caused riverbeds to dry up and destroyed grasslands in game reserves.

“The worst-affected ecosystems are home to some of Kenya’s most-visited national parks, reserves and conservancies, including the Amboseli, Tsavo and Laikipia-Samburu areas,” its report said.

According to the government and the United Nations, Kenya is enduring its worst drought in 40 years with more than four million people becoming food insecure and 3.3 million can’t get enough water to drink.

The drought that continues to ravage the Horn of Africa was declared a national disaster in Kenya in September 2021 but it has now spanned four consecutive failed seasons and has resulted in close to 2.4 million livestock deaths, dried-out water sources and sharply reduced harvests.

     Causes of drought in Kenya

According to the International Rescue Committee (IRC), droughts can be triggered by natural causes such as weather patterns and can also be caused by human activity.

The organization stated man-made causes of drought include climate change, deforestation and high water demand.

The current drought being experienced in Kenya and other Eastern African countries is said to be driven by climate change.

According to the Climate Change Knowledge Portal, Kenya is located in the Greater Horn of Africa region, which is highly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.

The website explains that more than 80% of Kenya’s landmass is arid and semi-arid land (ASAL) with poor infrastructure, and other developmental challenges revealing that climate hazards have caused considerable losses across the country’s different sectors over the years.

The portal described the main climate hazards to include droughts and floods which cause economic losses estimated at 3% of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Turkana County Secretary for Disaster Management and Drought, Jeremiah Namuya, has attributed the drought experienced across the country to a lack of rainfall in the last four seasons, which is a result of climate change.

    Rating

False – Drought in Kenya is not a food management issue but a climate change issue

    Significance

The fact check is significant because it tends to mislead people about what causes droughts and other environmental crises.

  • FACT CHECK: Renewables have not caused energy crisis

FACT CHECK: Renewables have not caused energy crisis

    Claim:

A Twitter user on November 4 observed that renewables had caused an energy crisis.

The tweet reads: “When is the #Labor party going to admit that #Renewables have CAUSED an #EnergyCrisis… If we’d built nuclear plants twenty years ago we’d be laughing with the cheapest power on the planet and a near-infinite domestic fuel supply.”

The tweet had 131 retweets and 620 likes as of the time of filing this report.

    What is renewable energy?

The United Nations defines renewable energy as energy derived from natural sources that are replenished at a higher rate than they are consumed. It states that sunlight and wind are such sources that are constantly being replenished.

According to the International Energy Agency, renewable energy is derived from natural processes that are replenished constantly. In its various forms, it derives directly from the sun, or from heat generated deep within the earth. Included in the definition is electricity and heat generated from solar, wind, ocean, hydropower, biomass, geothermal resources, biofuels and hydrogen derived from renewable resources.

EDF Energy states that alternative energy is another term used in referring to renewable sources as it states that it is something that can’t run out, or is endless, like the sun.

    Types of renewable energy

According to the UN Climate Action, renewable energy includes:

Solar Energy: This includes energy from the sun. Solar technologies can deliver heat, cooling, natural lighting, electricity, and fuels for a host of applications.

Read Also: Russia has destroyed 40 percent of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, says U.S.

Wind Energy: This is energy that harnesses the kinetic energy of moving air by using large wind turbines located on land (onshore) or in sea – or freshwater (offshore).

Geothermal Energy: This energy utilizes the accessible thermal energy from the Earth’s interior. Heat is extracted from geothermal reservoirs using wells or other means.

Hydropower: Hydropower harnesses the energy of water moving from higher to lower elevations. It can be generated from reservoirs and rivers. Hydropower reservoirs often provide drinking water, water for irrigation, flood and drought control, navigation services, as well as energy supply.

Ocean Energy: Ocean energy derives from technologies that use the kinetic and thermal energy of seawater – waves or currents for instance –  to produce electricity or heat.

Bioenergy: Bioenergy is produced from a variety of organic materials, called biomass, such as wood, charcoal, dung and other manures for heat and power production, and agricultural crops for liquid biofuels.

Do renewables cause an energy crisis?

Transitioning to renewable energy and reducing reliance on fossil fuels is one way to help slow down the effects of climate change.

Renewable energy technologies such as advanced biofuels for transportation are key in mitigating climate change.

While renewables used to be a more expensive option, new clean energy technologies are lowering costs and helping to move economies away from fossil fuels.

Non-renewable energy sources which include energy from fossil fuels have been proven to be dangerous for the environment, due to the carbon dioxide the burning process releases into the atmosphere as a by-product.

The CO2 then gets trapped in the atmosphere, and as a result, is the leading cause of climate change and global warming today.

Renewable energy sources, on the other hand, do not release pollutants into the atmosphere and cannot be depleted. While previously a much more expensive option, renewable energy is becoming more and more cost-effective as technology increases and is relatively cheap to maintain.

In today’s climate emergency, there are little or no greenhouse gas emissions that have been caused by renewable energy sources.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report released in August of this year, showed evidence that the emission of greenhouse gasses is responsible for global temperatures rising by approximately 1.1c since 1850-1900. The report stated that the answer to limiting greenhouse gas emissions and reaching net-zero CO2 emissions is renewable energy.

The Global Energy Review released by the International Energy Agency (IEA) for the year 2021 has shown a positive swing in the right direction when it comes to the use of renewable energy over non-renewable energy sources.

The review showed a decline of 5.8% in global CO2 emissions throughout 2020, the largest ever measured decline.

    Rating

False – Renewables have not caused an energy crisis, somewhat, they have mitigated an energy crisis.

    Significance

The fact check is needed because it reflects the impact renewables have in reducing the energy crises and shows how it helps mitigate climate change.

  • Three popular movie stars who claim to have God’s calling

Three popular movie stars who claim to have God’s calling

Some Nollywood acts in the past disappeared from the scene only to suddenly resurface as preachers.

There are a number of them including, Liz Benson, Zack Orji, Eucharia Anunobi among others.

In recent times, we’ve also had a few of claim to have God’s calling on their lives to be ministers of the Gospel.

    Below are three of them:

    RMD

In March 2022, Veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) opened up on a pastoral call on his life which he has been running away from.

He narrated via an Instagram post how several persons always shared their dreams where they saw him as a pastor.

RMD confessed to have willfully avoided the pulpit for many years after having taught in Sunday school for over 15 years but noted the call always has a way of seeking him out in movie roles.

The 60-year-old thespian asked fans to look out for him in the movie, “Cold” where he once again plays the character of a man of God.

RMD wrote: “True Story! There was a time when for every other day or week, somebody would tell me they had a dream where they saw me as a pastor. Having taught Sunday school for over 15 years it was not far-fetched.

“Besides every perceived Bad Boy is supposed to end up in full time ministry right? So, what did I do? Run!

“I’ve avoided the pulpit with trepidation. But just like Jonah, I continue to end up somehow in the belly of the calling where I have played a pastor or reverend father more than anything else in my acting life.

“God does have an amazing sense of humour. I’m not even sure as I write this if I’ve fully escaped the CALL!

“Until date I still frighten myself every time I’ve had to speak in a church because when I take the pulpit, the Holy Spirit takes over.

“And so once again I embark into a world of make believe where I play yet another man of God. I invite you on this epic cinematic journey into the spirit realm!”

    YUL EDOCHIE

The second on this list is the youngest son of legendary actor, Peter Edochie, Yul Edochie aka Ezedike.

On November 3, 2022, the popular actor declared he has the calling to be one of God’s preachers, emphasizing that he’s been called to the servitude of God

The movie star, who recently took a second wife, Judy Austin after welcoming a son with her made this known in a viral viral

Yul speaking about his ‘divine’ calling to pastorage, claimed he’s had for actually a long time but has always thought it just wasn’t the right time to fully embrace it.

“I have a calling to serve God. I have a calling to be a minister of God. I have a calling to be a preacher of God…to be one of God’s ministers, to preach the Word of God; through words and actions.

“I’ve had this calling a long time ago actually, many years ago. But I always felt maybe the time hadn’t come, the time wasn’t right,” he said

In another video shared two days later, while reaffirming God’s call on his life, the movie producer also recounting a near-fatal motor accident he was involved in, in 2019 said: “Immediately the accident happened I heard a little voice say, “Yul it’s over, anything you had to do that you didn’t do, it over.

“But suddenly, I felt life come into my body after the car stopped somersaulting. My legs moved, life started coming back to my body and I realized I’ve been given second chance.

“Now, I know why I’ve been given that a second time at life which is to preach the message of God to the world.”

He captioned the video: “I’ve found my purpose on earth. And I’m happy I did.”

    TONTO DIKEH

The actress-turned-politician who in June emerged as the deputy governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the forthcoming 2023 general election in Rivers State is the third on the list.

Only a few days ago, right after Yul ‘public announcement’ Dikeh’s interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo surfaced online where she also claimed to

During the interview, Tonto claimed she has a pastoral calling, explaining she has always desired to be one.

The 37-year-old, who recently announced that she was officially ‘kissing acting good bye’, stated the profession alongside entertainment as a whole was basically opportunity-based.

On the pastoral calling, Dikeh noted she may yet embrace it ‘depending on where God wants to take her’.

“I’m an opportunist with this thing called acting or entertainment. But for God, He has ordained that step already. For me, I was just swimming in a swimming pool,” she said.

“I mean, I was a church girl going to be a pastor. I was supposed to be a pastor, I still might be. Depending on where God is taking me to.”
