Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and members of the National Assembly for approving the Southeast Investment Company (SEIC), a subsidiary of the South East Development Commission (SEDC).
Tinubu approved the establishment of the Southeast Investment Company (SEIC) on July 18, 2025, with a projected capital base of over N150 billion to drive industrialization and unlock private sector growth in the region.
This approval was announced through a statement by the Presidency, and the President presented the Certificate of Incorporation to the South East Development Commission (SEDC) in a ceremony at the State House in Abuja.
The Ohanaeze noted that the investment vehicle asides driving regional industrialization, would also mobilize private capital, promote regional competitiveness, and enhance industrialization in the Southeast.
The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator Azuta Mbata, praised Tinubu for this initiative in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ezechi Chukwu, Ph.D, on Tuesday.
Mbata said the initiative would transform regional economic ventures to greater heights.
“I have no doubt that apart from its finance generation potentials, this laudable initiative would equally serve as a viable stimulant for sustainable economic ventures in the zone.”
He emphasized the importance of private sector involvement and urged for professionalism, transparency, and accountability to ensure the venture’s success.
A youth leader in the Edo State All Progressives Congress (APC), Glory Oziegbe Momodu, has picked the party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination Form to contest the forthcoming Edo Central Senatorial bye-election
The decision comes amidst reports of an alleged consensus arrangement by a faction within the party caucus in Edo Central, favouring another aspirant, Mr. Ikpea of Ewatto.
By declaring his candidacy, Momodu has chosen to reject imposition and instead uphold the values of internal democracy and grassroots participation.
Momodu said he would run a people-centred campaign anchored on popular mandate and youth inclusion.
“I believe in democracy and the supremacy of the people’s voice. I stand before my people and not behind closed-door arrangements,” said Momodu after obtaining his nomination form at the APC national secretariat in Abuja.
Momodu’s defiance has been met with overwhelming enthusiasm from APC youth leaders across all five local government areas of Edo Central — Esan West, Esan Central, Esan Northeast, Esan Southeast, and Igueben, who have expressed unwavering support for his candidacy.
According to several youth stakeholders, Momodu represents a departure from recycled politics and a fresh opportunity for meaningful representation at the National Assembly.
“We are tired of decisions made without consulting the people. Glory Momodu is accessible, consistent, and speaks our language. He is the candidate of the people,” said one youth leader from Esan Southeast.
Party insiders allege that efforts to impose a consensus candidate were championed by a small group of party elders who have lost touch with the grassroots. Observers warn that any attempt to stifle fair competition could result in widespread disaffection, voter apathy, or defections, especially with rival parties like the ADC reportedly preparing to field popular, electable candidates.
Momodu’s emergence has reinvigorated calls for transparent and competitive primaries, with many viewing his candidacy as a litmus test for APC’s commitment to democratic ideals in Edo Central.
As the political climate heats up in the senatorial district, all eyes are now on how the APC leadership will manage competing interests within its ranks.
Will the party uphold democratic values and allow a free contest, or risk alienating the youth and grassroots now rallying behind Glory Momodu?
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State received a major boost as Dr. Adewale Kareem popularly known as AKK, formally joined the party.
Accompanied by the members of his support group, Kareem was received into the party at a carnival-like ceremony held at the secretariat of APC in Ibadan.
Kareem expressed gratitude to the APC leadership and members for the warm reception.
He said that his decision to join the party was borne out of a genuine desire to serve the people of Oyo State.
He noted that the APC’s progressive agenda aligns with his vision for inclusive development, educational empowerment and sustainable growth.
He assured his supporters of readiness to bring innovation, leadership, and people-first ideas into the political space.
The event was witnessed by prominent party chieftains and supporters from across the state.
Among the dignitaries who welcomed the new entrant were a former Deputy Governor, Chief Moses Adeyemo; former State Chairman, Chief Akin Oke; and the State Secretary, Alhaji Tajudeen Olanite.
The APC State Chairman, Alhaji Olayide Abas, who was on a national assignment, conveyed his goodwill message through the State Secretary, Alhaji Tajudeen Olanite, commending Dr. Kareem for taking the bold step to join the party.
Abas urged other like-minded technocrats and professionals to emulate Kareem’s example, noting that the APC remained the most credible platform for promoting good governance and people-oriented development in Oyo State.
In his remarks, Adeyemo described Kareem’s entry into the APC as a welcome development, saying the party needed vibrant and visionary individuals ahead of the 2027 elections.
Between 1999 when Nigeria returned to democratic rule and 2015 when the behemoth PDP hegemonic ship of corruption capsized, Nigerians had first hand experience of wasted opportunity, mismanagement of national will for restructuring of the system on the right path and the promotion of corruption and indiscipline to a national flag status. While the opposition was learning their bitter and hard lessons under the jackboot of the PDP, the big boys in government was busy with the art of “chopping life” as noveau-riche while the ship of state lost its compass and became rudderless. In the engulfing confusion obviously occasioned by flatulence of power and corruption, the PDP slept off and before they could wake up, the opposition created in the funnel of fire had wrestled power from the PDP.
In these first 16 years of Nigeria in her fourth republic under the PDP, Nigeria missed her early opportunities to return the country back to democracy friendly structure rather they consolidated power at the centre and created a pool of clumsiness and filth. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo descended heavily on all voices of reason and created an imperial presidency. As Nigerians grow in political enlightenment in the years that follows, the imperial system give way to the cabal system in the presidency perpetuating primordial interests as against national interest and this transcended even into the early years of the APC rule.
Today, by the divine intervention of God, Nigeria has crossed the Rubicon after 24 years in the wilderness of democracy with a president and leader groomed in the art of strategic thinking and boardroom planning; schooled in the art of resources mobilization and management; mentored by democratic heroes of our history and tested in the fiery tunnels of opposition ascension to power in Nigeria. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has today in just two years shut down the fuel subsidy cabal and the multiple forex rates hyenas; he has strengthened the states financially and working on giving life back to the grassroots through the local councils. Today, in just two years, through administrative actions, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned Nigeria to regional coordination via the establishment of six development commissions, one for each of the six geo-political zones, a feat the all the former administrations could not attempt despite two National conferences under the PDP in 2005 and 2014. Today the almighty exclusive legislative list of the PDP years is losing weight even without a constitutional conference, pointing to the intention of the leadership to align our structure with true federalism. Today, our pre-independence tax laws have been reformed to make productivity enticing and unlock national growth. Today, in just two years, Nigeria crossed the Rubicon of trade deficit to trade surplus, we have started clearing our sundry indebtedness to make us stand tall for legacy borrowings if we must borrow at all. Access to education has been further liberalized with the establishment and release of Fund in billions of Naira to the Education Loans Board. Today life is not easy yet as our expectation for average Nigerian but we are not blind to the gargantuan reformation being undertaken towards a new model Nigeria of our glory and the pride of our yet unborn generation just like the new Lagos which President Bola Ahmed Tinubu pioneered between 1999 and 2007 as the Governor of the State.
As expected in any political dispensation, the coming of every election is set to roughen and toughen the feathers of the incumbent while testing the resourcefulness, resolve and reliability of the opposition as necessary in a democracy. Opposition in Nigeria however seemed to have stopped with the APC ascension to power in 2015 as the PDP, once the largest party in Africa continue to disintegrate and decimate, courtesy of its own indiscipline, rudderlessness and “kari-ka-chop” (see and eat) syndrome.
Eventually, if anybody is still in the PDP today, it is about predating on the material assets as the is no goodwill left. The best of their serving Governors are leaving in droves to align with the vision of the ruling party to build a new Nigeria since their party has lost its soul to fragmentation due to greed and avarice. In 2023, when it mattered most for the PDP, it fragmented into three as PDP, NNPP and LP. Now in 2025, the same PDP rather than return to rebuild their homestead, bury personal ambition and self aggrandizement and provide Nigeria with credible and reliable opposition in her democratic journey, has rather finally killed the only hope of opposition by tearing the umbrella.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, a two-term president under the banner of the PDP (1999-2007) was the first to tear his PDP membership card on television before the whole world. Alhaji Abubakar Atiku his vice for the same period has been in and out thrice with no love for the party but for only its presidential ticket.
Senator David Alechenu Mark was in the senate from 1999 till 2019 and was the President of the Senate for 8 years out of the 20 years under the umbrella of the PDP. He is no doubt a no-asset to the party that gave so much to him undeservedly today. He has been in the corridor of power in Nigeria since the early 90s under the military as either as Military Governor or Minister of Signals a.k.a Communication under the military and a front-line anti-June 12 IBB loyalist. The only thing most Nigerian can recall about him for all these opportunities was his popular tirade that “telephone is not for the common man in Nigeria”
Gregory Peter Obi, a two-term Governor of Anambra State under APGA, violated all oaths taken before man and God, abandoned his party shortly after office and moved to the PDP. Little known to national politics, in 2019 he was awarded the PDP Vice-presidential ticket with Atiku courtesy of Former President Jonathan. In 2023, he jumped the ship even before the primary to deal a fatal underbelly blow on the PDP from its Southeast stronghold. Today, he is neither in the Labour Party or the Coalition ADC according to his own claim. How such a confused individual will think of leading Nigeria remains an insult.
These elements and their ilk; the likes of Raufu Aregbesola, the man with highest number of jail-breaks as Minister of Interior in Nigeria’s history; Nasir El-rufai who superintended the greatest ethno-religious genocide in the history of Kaduna State; Abubakar Malami under whose watch as the Attorney-General of the Federation the Buhari regime lost the battle against graft to submission etc, in their hunger and desperation for power and access to the national treasury seek to register a party they called “All Democratic Alliance” (ADA) meaningless grammatically but meaning cutlass and a bad omen in Yoruba language. When they could not pursue ordinary party registration to a success, they went for a hijack like an infant terrorist group. Today, they are still hibernating in the ADC but surely there is no respite for a confused and disoriented characters in a functional democracy than the dustbin of history.
Nigerians are waiting for their campaigns against the gains we have made from our pains in the last two years of President Tinubu’s focused leadership, a pain they caused us by their own years of clueless hold to power.

Senator Ede Dafinone (Delta Central) has declared that the creation of Ethiope State presents an opportunity to correct decades of historical imbalances, empower the Urhobo Nation, a major ethnic group, unlock a new frontier for economic and social development, enhance governance efficiency, and preserve cultural identity.
Speaking at the House of Representatives Committee on Constitutional Review’s public hearing at the Chief D.S. Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall, Government House, Yenagoa, on Saturday, Senator Dafinone, Vice Chairman of the Senate Committees on Local Content and Legislative Compliance, emphasised that the proposed state would rectify long-standing inequities faced by the Urhobo people—Nigeria’s fifth-largest ethnic nationality and the dominant group in Delta State.
The Delta Central lawmaker stated that the Urhobos have long faced structural exclusion within the nation’s current state configuration, despite their demographic significance and economic contributions. He stressed that the creation of Ethiope State would “redress this imbalance, ensure fairer resource allocation, and accelerate infrastructural development.”
The proposed Ethiope State, according to the Urhobo people’s submission, would encompass the two Urhobo kingdoms in Warri South Local Government Area, the Urhobo people in Patani Local Government Area, and all eight predominantly Urhobo Local Government Areas. This consolidation, Dafinone argued, would reflect the “demographic and administrative foundation for statehood” that the current structure fails to acknowledge.
Beyond correcting historical injustices, Senator Dafinone highlighted the immense economic potential of Ethiope State, adding that the Urhobo people inhabit some of the most productive oil fields in Nigeria. Yet, their communities remain underdeveloped and sidelined in resource management decisions.
“Urhoboland is a major oil-producing region, yet the people have limited influence over how these resources are managed or reinvested,” he lamented. “Ethiope State would enable greater control over local resources, catalyse economic growth, and promote responsible resource governance in line with the Petroleum Industry Act.”
He further detailed a robust economic foundation for the proposed state, citing “substantial oil and gas reserves,” “vast fertile land suitable for large-scale agriculture,” and “access to coastal areas and seaports, particularly Sapele and Warri, offering enormous potential for fisheries, aquaculture, and maritime trade.” The proposed state also boasts of “solid mineral endowment” and “extensive forest reserves with commercial quantities of timber.”
According to him: “Under the 1999 Constitution, proposals for State creation must meet certain criteria, including popular support, defined territory, economic viability, and legislative approval. Ethiope State clearly satisfies these thresholds, making it one of the most procedurally viable and legally sound proposals for state creation in contemporary Nigeria.
“Ethiope State would provide a more coherent administrative framework, rooted in shared values and identity. This would foster more effective service delivery, citizen engagement, and policy implementation tailored to local realities.
“With its state, the Urhobo people would gain the autonomy to chart their developmental priorities, implement localised policies, and take ownership of their governance. This self-determination would foster greater civic participation and accountability.
“Ethiope State would be better positioned to pursue focused and strategic development initiatives that reflect the needs of its people, from education and healthcare, agriculture and industrialisation.
“Statehood would formally acknowledge the Urhobo people’s contributions to the Nigerian Federation, enhance our political standing, deepen our sense of national belonging, and contribute to our overall unity and stability.”
Dafinone also pointed to existing infrastructure as a strong institutional foundation, including “Delta State University, Abraka; the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun; the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun; Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara; Federal Polytechnic, Orogun; and the Delta State College of Physical Education, Mosogar,” alongside key industrial assets like “Delta Steel Company, Aladja, and Warri Refining & Petrochemicals Company Limited.”
Dafinone reiterated that the creation of Ethiope State is not just viable but “necessary” to correct a historical wrong, promote equity, and give the Urhobo people a rightful place in Nigeria’s federal structure. He described the proposal as “a call for fairness, efficiency, and inclusion—principles at the core of any functioning federation.”
The Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji, has declared that nothing will stop the All Progressives Congress (APC) from taking over Enugu State Government House from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on Sunday at Ogurute in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, where over 500 defectors from the PDP, Labour Party (LP), and All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) formally joined the APC, Nnaji criticised the state government over what he described as the indiscriminate demolition of markets and shops without prior notice or compensation.
He said such actions were worsening the hardship faced by traders and had led to the death of several victims within the past year.
The minister, who led the APC in Enugu State, condemned the demolition of businesses under the guise of developing modern motor parks, stressing that it was unjust to destroy people’s livelihoods without alternatives or support.
He also expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, a native of the area, as Chief of Naval Staff. Nnaji thanked the people of Igbo-Eze North for their growing support for the APC.
Accompanied by top party figures, including the APC State chairman, Barr. Ugochukwu Agballah, 2023 deputy governorship candidate, Barr. George Ogara; and Comrade Fidelis Edeh, Pro-Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, the minister assured that the party would lawfully do everything within its power to unseat the PDP administration led by Governor Peter Mbah in 2027.
Nnaji also condemned an alleged attempt by Igbo-Eze North local government officials and PDP leaders to stop the mini-rally, describing it as a misuse of power and a sign of political intolerance.
“We heard that some people were trying to abuse their authority by attempting to stop this gathering today, to the extent that we have to move from the original venue to this place. What we have come today is more of liberating our people.
“An average Igbo man is a trader, so if you keep on destroying the markets, demolishing the markets without compensation, without providing an alternative, I don’t know how our people are going to survive and that is why we have brought out ourselves, come rain, come shine, that we are going to fight, we are going to do everything humanly possible and within the ambit of law to make sure that come 2027 our people will start rejoicing again.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu knows that we are here; he knows we are doing all these things for the state and him and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He knows and he has our support 101 percent, and he is behind us. we are APC. We are not running away anywhere for anybody’s sake.
“We will remain here and we will welcome anybody who wants to enter. Anybody who wants to enter, we’ll welcome them, but we’ll make sure we defeat him. If anybody enters, we’ll welcome him and defeat him, and throw him away. So we are waiting for people to come to this party. We want many people to come in; there is no preferential treatment. When they come in, we’ll defeat them.
“And we thank the president and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces for appointing Vice Admiral Ogalla, who is from Igbo-Eze North, to make him the Chief of Naval Staff. We’ll keep thanking him for this,” the Minister stated.
The State Chairman of APC, Agballah, who described the influx of new members as a ‘rainbow movement’, thanked the defectors for joining APC, saying that the disadvantage of belonging to small parties is that they won’t be able to protect their votes.
“You know that in the last election, Labour Party won in Igbo-Eze North, LP won the House of Assembly, won the House of Rep, won everything, but they were rigged out. Do you know why they were rigged out? It’s because they were in a one-man show. One-man-show parties don’t go far. Politics is like a market; one person does not constitute the market.”
Some of the defectors, including Hon Ikechukwu Ogbugo, a former executive Vice Chairman, Igbo-Eze North LGA under PDP; Hon. Barr. Osita Ugwuoke, Hon Festus Ayogu of PDP (Bravo), Chief Oliver Idoko (Ego Amaka Transport), Hon Emmanuel Itodo (E-Gas) and Prof. Onyeke A. Onyeke, former House of Assembly member under old Enugu state, stated that they were joining APC because of the appointment of their brother as Chief of Naval Staff as well as neglect by their former parties over the years.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has selected Mr. Johnny Ikponmwosa Aikpitanyin as its candidate for the upcoming by-election in Ovia Federal Constituency, scheduled for next month.
Aikpitanyin, who was the sole aspirant cleared to contest the primary, emerged unopposed during the exercise held in Iguobazuwa, the headquarters of Ovia Southwest Local Government Area, where delegates affirmed his candidacy.
Ibibios, the majority ethnic group in Akwa Ibom, state have again reiterated their resolve not to allow any portion of their lands for the creation of the proposed Obolo State.
They had stated their position penultimate week during the two-day public hearing by the Senate Committee on the Review of the Nigerian Constitution which held in Ikot Ekpene local government area of the state.
Led by the President General of the Ekid People’s Union (EPU), Dr. Samuel Udonsak, the Ibibios again at the weekend reaffirmed their position at the South-South zonal public hearing on the 2025 constitutional amendment held at the Metropolitan Hotel, Calabar, Cross River State.
The demand for the creation of Obolo State is being championed by the people of Oro, Ibeno, and Eastern Obolo.
However, in a detailed memorandum presented to the House of Representatives Constitution Review Committee by Dr.Udonsak on behalf of Ibibio traditional rulers, council of elders, and other stakeholders, the Ibibio people strongly opposed the proposal.
Citing the Nigerian Constitution, the memo noted: “The 31 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Akwa Ibom State, as listed in the First Schedule (Section 3, Part I) of the 1999 Constitution, are Ibibio LGAs, including Eket, Esit Eket, Etinan, Ibesikpo/Asutan, Ibiono Ibom, Ikono, Ikot Abasi, Ini, Itu, Mkpat Enin, Nsit Atai, Nsit Ibom, Nsit Ubium, Onna, Uruan, and Uyo.”
The memo further referenced the Gazetted Official Map of Akwa Ibom State, established under the Akwa Ibom State Map Establishment Law No. 10 of April 27, 2023, which delineates the authentic ancestral boundaries of Ibibio lands.
“No village, section, part, or inch of Ibibio land within these LGAs shall be ceded to the proposed Obolo State or any other entity,” the Ibibio delegation declared.
They argued that based on historical facts and colonial documentation, the areas currently occupied by the Obolo people in Eastern Obolo LGA and the Ibeno people in Ibeno LGA were originally Ibibio lands, leased to those communities on a royalty-paying basis.
The Ibibio people expressed particular concern over five Ibibio coastal and oil-rich LGAs — Esit Eket, Eket, Onna, Ikot Abasi, and Mkpat Enin — which they say are being targeted for annexation into the proposed Obolo State.
“The plan to stretch the proposed Obolo State from Oron Federal Constituency through Ibeno to Eastern Obolo is geographically impossible, as these areas lack direct land contiguity. Between them lie Ibibio LGAs, whose ancestral lands cannot and will not be ceded,” the memo stated.
While the Ibibio people affirmed their respect for the self-determination rights of other ethnic nationalities, they maintained that:
“By law, an Oro State is feasible due to the contiguity of its five LGAs, and we do not oppose that. But Ibeno has no contiguity with either Mbo or Eastern Obolo, and Eastern Obolo shares no boundary with Andoni or Ibeno. What lies between them is Ibibio land — and that shall not be violated.”
In conclusion, the Ibibio delegation reiterated in clear terms:
“We do not want Obolo State to be created on an inch of Ibibio land.”
The Labour Party (LP) in Edo State has elected Hon Paul Okojie as its candidate for next month’s by-election to fill vacant seats in the National Assembly.
Okojie, who is contesting to represent Edo Central senatorial district, was affirmed as the party’s candidate in a voice vote by delegates.
The seat was previously occupied by Governor Monday Okpeholo.
Speaking shortly after he was elected, Okojie said he expected to be victorious at the poll.
Okojie said he would defeat the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He said Edo Central yearned for a good representative in the Senate.
His words: “I am expecting victory at the polls. We will go to the grassroots and talk to them. The people will decide who will be the next Senator in Edo Central.
“My first item as a Senator is to change the narrative in Edo Central. There has been no voice. We have had people represent us at the Senate and they have been practically speechless. We need someone who should be able to stand up and speak for the people of Edo Central because we are known for standing up to make our demands.
“For some years now, you really hear a voice from Edo Central speaking in the Senate. There is no federal presence there and somebody needs to take that responsibility and I feel I am the one who has the capacity to do that.
“I do not see the APC or PDP as formidable. The only thing we know is that the best candidate should be the on to one to go. I am serious about defeating them. I have my people and they are with me. As far as my people are with me, I am not rattled. I don’t have any godfather but I have the people backing me.”
It’s not in doubt that the political drum of war is being fiercely beaten in the Southwest for various and too obvious reasons. The hotbed is however in Osun State where the anticlimax of defection and carpet crossing is eating fast into the fabrics of the friction.
If I may say, the patriotic posture of the Southwest supporting the 2027 game plan is already hijacked by the very elements who stood on Asiwaju’s way to give the state to Atiku Abubakar of People Democratic Party in the 2023 polls thus becoming a dent to PBAT potency in the Southwest outside Lagos.
In the minds of discerning politicians it has become too obvious that Mr President could easily become a hostage of his political dexterity should he gloss over the tangents and give himself some blood in the nose.
Osun State today is on the precipice to confusion as the silence is getting too deafening. It might be loud enough but feigning peace and easily manipulated could be fatally dangerous for the APC victory.
To an average politician and the dog handlers NOTHING IS TOO SPECIAL about politicians decamping from on party to another. In fact the instant references are the Akwa Ibom and Delta states examples. It must the stated that it is about human situations that lack fixation. Cultural differences, dramatis personae and demanding issues that has redefined characters in the power struggle. Perhaps because of dialectical composition of the people making up the state ,Osun state is pot of salad and for quite a long time has its components not melting together. The Ifes, Ijeshas, the Oyos, the Ibolos and the Igbominas are mutually sensitive in political gerrymandering.
In the last three years or thereabouts, the government of Senator Ademola Adeleke has inflicted on the people much hatred and public funds mismanagement to the extent that many of the people are seen as second class and oppressed by the opulent regime whose style has made the Governor to be representative of the currency controller in the person of his elder brother and sister who are the de facto government of Osun State. Osun State people have never been this DIVIDED.
We couldn’t be clever by half should we posit that more than 45% of Osun State’s resources are controlled by the Adeleke family. Depotism and favoritism rule higher here, and pervaded the public and civil service where Ede men and women are rated first class and the others follow. The hatred and nepotism have pitched the people against these few individuals and have attracted hatred to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party. Hence the respected and iconic political figures have left the party in droves. The former National Deputy Chairman, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun, Hon Oluwole Oke of the National Assembly, Prince Dotun Babayemi, My Kayode Oduoye, two former SSGs Kazeem Adio and Fatai Akinbade, Insurance magnate Dr Akin Ogunbiyi ,Peter Babalola to mention a few have left the party. It’s important to underscore the pains of mourning inflicted on the state frequent murders during electioneering and after the blood stained Adeleke and PDP REGIME in the State.
The February 2025 political assassination of the Chairman of Irewole local government,Remi Abass and some councilors are very fresh. All these drift into the abyss make it difficult for Governor Ademola Adeleke to talk to APC leadership in the State to enjoy acceptable terms but using the 2027 Asiwaju agenda to court people without discerning mind and prerequisite information about the excruciating pain the real supporters of Asiwaju are passing through. Osun State people are of the opinion that Asiwaju might become worse casualty if the horse trading is poorly handled.
A slip into miscalculation might embolden the coalition of ADC and former Governor Rauf Aregbesola ;a vulture waiting patiently for the carcasses of the consequences.
If the Adeleke’s are patriotic enough and loving Asiwaju so passionately, let them decamp into APC after the August 8 2026 Osun election.
Asiwaju has through the instrumentality of the judiciary decimated the inept Adeleke REGIME and allowing a defector whose hand is stained with innocent bloods shed in 2025 because of the same purposes is a potential implosion that could consume the cherished APC in the Osun state .
It’s important to caution that meddlesomeness of Governors Dapo Abiodun of Osun state who has abandoned the Ogun State civil servants by dancing owambe withe state resources while salaries and allowances are not paid as at when due and Imo State Governor Hope Nsodinma who is applying cultural bigotry the Governor Ademola Adeleke has an Igbo mother thus using the instrument of being the Progressive Governors’ Forum to market the reigning despot to Asiwaju that such could be counterproductive.
A stitch in time.
