AT just 27 years old, Precious Okechukwu Adaobi has made a rousing statement in the real estate sector. Aside from the obvious fact that the feats she has achieved in the sector are worth commending, her Hav’i-Lah Real Estate firm has set her several years away from her peers.

She is being praised for bridging the gap between the traditional real estate industry and the rise of the platform economy. From a young age, Precious portrayed a keen sense of entrepreneurism. • Buruji’s son Rasheed comes of age

Buruji’s son Rasheed comes of age

LATE Nigerian politician, Kashamu Buruji might have passed on to the great beyond on August 8, 2020, he has left behind a hybrid in his son, Rasheed Kashamu. The activities of the 26-year-old Rasheed prove that he has come of age. Two years after the death of his billionaire dad, Rasheed, who is an alumnus of Brunel University and the University of Surrey, has proven that he’s ready to step into his dad’s shoes. Though he is quick to say he’s taking it one step at a time, Rasheed is fast worming his way into the hearts of politicians across Nigeria – most especially in Ogun State.

Rasheed has his eyes set on representing the people of Ijebu North Constituency 1 at the Ogun State House of Assembly come 2023. Though he was born in The Gambia, Rasheed’s closeness with his late father has seen him providing strategic support for the late Buruji’s political and philanthropic activities while remaining in the background.

While many wondered what his intentions were for getting into the murky waters of politics, Rasheed maintains that he intends to give effective and quality representation to the good people of Ijebu North Constituency 1. Those close to Rasheed say despite admitting his late dad’s infallibility, he misses his great energy, the act of selflessness towards others, and never say die attitude towards work and whatever he believes in.

Rasheed is quick to tell anyone that cares to listen that aside from his late dad being a huge man with steely resolve and frame, he was grossly misunderstood by many, who failed to admit that he was a man with a soft heart of gold.

  • Who is afraid of LIRS boss?

Who is afraid of LIRS boss?

WITH recent happenings in the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service LIRS, it’s obvious that someone is persistently after the person of Ayodele Subair, the executive chairman of the tax office. The person or persons are either gunning for Subair’s job as the indefatigable Lagos State tax man or all out to ruin and stain his integrity, which he has built over the last two decades.

Society Circuit has uncovered fresh facts to back Subair’s achievements and sterling qualities in the Lagos State tax office since his emergence.

Aside from having an unwavering commitment to staff welfare with a view to enhancing the capacity of its workforce to meet the demands of 21st-century taxation, the Subair-led LIRS administration’s success is driven by the adoption of strategies that are anchored on capacity-building for an inevitable workforce that enhances productivity.

Contrary to insinuations in some quarters that no promotion had been approved within the service in the past 10 years, a total of 3,608 staff had been promoted between 2017 to 2021 alone while a 70% increase was approved for staff from Assistant Revenue Manager and below, and a 50% increase for Revenue Manager and above.

Though sources disclosed that the agitation against the Subair-led administration was strictly about the promotional examination, many of the allegations have since been found to be untrue. One of his sins is the decision to introduce a computer-based test for promotion to enhance competence and merit while banishing nepotism and encouraging high-fliers within the system to grow.

Subair has continued to fly high with his intimidating resume and track record as a seasoned economist with vast knowledge in government and non-government organisations, banking, oil & gas exploration, insurance companies, trading concerns, multinational courier and logistics companies, securities companies, finance, investment, and leasing companies and manufacturing.

  • Makinde, Agboola’s cold war

    Makinde, Agboola’s cold war

ALL is certainly unwell between Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and one of his aides, Senator Hosea Agboola, who is widely referred to as Alleluya.

Those who should know claim that the one-time chummy relationship that exists between Makinde and Agboola has gone sour, and has turned both politicians into two parallel lines that never meet. Though the cold war between the Governor and the Chairman, Advisory Council to the Governor, has been well kept away from the public, it is believed that both parties have been avoiding each other for some time now.

Further inquiry into the cold war between the two politicians revealed that Makinde and Agboola fell apart over who to pay obeisance and allegiance to between estranged PDP G5 and Atiku Abubakar.

While Agboola has stuck with Atiku, Makinde and three other governors have thrown their weight behind Gov Wike and against the choice of Atiku. Before now, Agboola was known as one of the closest aides to Makinde and it came as a huge surprise when he made his intention known with the declaration that he cannot work against Atiku.

The one-time Senator also hinged his reasons on a past relationship and party progress as he has always been one of the pointsmen for Atiku in the South West. Though some schools of thought believe Agboola’s cold war with the governor could cause some setbacks to his second-term campaign, others believe Agboola’s fallout with Makinde is good riddance.

    Hakeem Alobo-Bakare gets double honour

HAKEEM Alobo-Bakare, a socialite, businessman, and politician is not your run-of-the-mill businessman. As a matter of fact, he has remained an inspiration to many, as he has his hands in many sectors of the economy. The Lagosian and highly connected individual is also one of the country’s silent moneybags, who wields influence amongst the high and mighty but prefers to be behind the scene. Though Alobo-Bakare has successfully etched his name in the sand of times, he’s the type who makes no noise about his success. A trip to his Ikoyi home in Lagos would attest to how individuals, associates, and politicians besiege the luxurious abode seeking one favour or the other. For his contributions and achievements, two tradi tional rulers have put it upon themselves to confer two chieftaincy titles on him come January 2023. This, according to those who should know, is in recognition of his outstanding success in business and in appreciation of his valuable contributions through unselfish public service for the benefit and welfare of humanity and his contribution to communities.

He is billed to be installed as the Otunba Bobajiro of Jogaland by His Royal Highness Oba (Dr.) Adeyemi Adekeye and would also be conferred with the title of Bashorun of Orile Igbon by Oba of Orile-Igbon Oba Francis Olushola Alao.

However, what many that do not have a close relationship with this ‘Baba Ibeji’ is his knack for keeping fit. According to whisperers at his homestead, his fitness routine, which can be slightly tedious at times, has become one of the things he does every morning before stepping out.
