    If you know Ahmed Indimi very well, you will know some of his weaknesses. It’s a known fact that Ahmed is a prominent Nigerian entrepreneur and one of the sons of popular Nigerian tycoon, Alhaji Mohammed Indimi but only those close to this husband of Zahra Buhari will readily tell you that he has a weakness for the members of his family.

    At every opportunity, Ahmed is quick to celebrate members of his family – either for their birthdays or achievements in social and educational endeavours.

    Recently, he took to his social media to shower encomiums on his mother with soothing words. He wrote, “As I look back on my life, I owe you everything and then some. Today, we celebrate you. Happy birthday to the greatest mother.”

    That he readily showers affection and adoration on his wife is not in doubt but almost all his siblings get a share of Ahmed’s good heart.

    He currently holds the position of Director/Head of the Crude Marketing Department at his father’s Oriental Energy Resources.

    Oba-elect Olowolekomoh bags social award

    The Oba elect of Odo Nla kingdom, Elias Olusoga Olowolekomoh, has added another feather to his cap. This time, the honour came from the globally acclaimed Lions International club for his immense contributions to the growth of the association and society at large. Olowolekomoh bagged the Lions International, Ikorodu Metro Lions Club(District 404 A1 Nigeria) award last weekend.

    Receiving the honour, Olowolekomoh said, “It is my pleasure to hereby express my profound gratitude and appreciation to all members of our noble district at large who deemed it fit to accord me such honour. We shall all continue to have many causes to celebrate and distinguish ourselves with selfless services and charities to our district and environs…”

    The awards ceremony also coincided with the Ikorodu Metro Lions Club’s free eye event at Odo Nla community Town Hall, Ikorodu, Lagos. The club’s activity included; Eye Tests, eye glasses, cataract operations, Diabetes tests, Blood Pressure, and medical advice, all free.

    Earlier in the week, Adesola Fajobi threw open the doors of his lounge, The Studio by Troy, to celebrate one year of starting the business.

    The week has been packed with several activities at the lounge with a plan to conclude the festivities on Sunday, October 16. Fajobi started out as a top staff with marketing agencies before branching out to start his Digital Interactive Media where he birthed and produced award-winning reality shows including the Next Movie Star, and Super Mom. Not satisfied with his achievements, he created a television channel, Oodua TV, and embarked on some series and film production.

    He subsequently floated Troy, a nightclub and lounge in the Ogba area, Lagos, Due to harsh economic realities, he rested some of his programmes and nightclub and maintained a low profile until last year when he floated The Studio by Troy, an upscale lounge in the heart of Opebi, Ikeja.

    Bola Shagaya loses mum few hours to 63rd birthday

    It was mixed feelings for billionaire businesswoman, Bola Shagaya, as her mother’s untimely demise on Sunday, October 9, eclipsed her birthday the following day.

    As she clocked 63 on Monday, October 10, Shagaya’s heart was heavy with grief over the loss of her mother, Alhaja Saadat AbdulRaheem Bakini the previous day.

    Though Alhaja Bakini passed away at over 90 years old, Shagaya was evidently devastated due to the emotional bond that they shared with each other.

    The duo deeply attached to each other, a situation fostered by Shagaya’s position as the deceased’s only daughter. The late Alhaja Bakini had two children, Shagaya, and her brother, Abdulrasaq Abdulraheem. Their family was close-knit and they dote on each other affectionately.

    Already, dignitaries, including Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, have been paying condolence visits to Shagaya’s palatial home. Many of the socialite’s high net-worth friends have reportedly declared their intention to assist her in giving her mother a befitting burial.

    It was a celebration of life when Bukky Latunji, a former General Manager of Zenith Bank and her siblings gave a befitting burial to their late dad, Bashorun Bandele Alfred Latunji, in Lagos last week.

    Bukky, the fifth of the late Bashorun Latunji’s nine children, no doubt stole the show at the church service as well as the reception held at Eko Club with her unique and elegant designs.

    The entertainment was unalloyed and the event also had top management and staff of Zenith Bank, who turned up to support one of their own. Spotted at the event were Zenith bank’s Executive Directors, Dr. Tope Fasoranti, Adaobi Nwapa, and Akin Ogunranti. Also, present at the occasion was Omooba Adefolahan Ibiyemi, the Sooko Abon of Ile-Ife, and other dignitaries.

    Eulogising her late father, Bukky said, “My father, you taught me many things in life. You taught me to be self-confident, resourceful, and self-reliant. You ensured I went to some of the best private schools and you supported me as much as you could. Thank you because I turned out very successful.”

    Pa Latunji attended CMS Grammar School and he was a politician and active member of the Anglican Church. He worked as a private secretary to the former Minister of Health, Dr Majekodunmi, and also as an undersecretary to the Minister of Education, Prof. Jubril Aminu while in the federal civil service.

    Frank Okamigbo is one man with a large heart. He became the talk of the town for his deep involvement in Lagos nightlife, where he ran several nightclubs before taking the backseat and disappearing from the social arena.

    However, quite a number of those who knew of his influence among the wealthy folks of Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Lekki, and Magodo have been asking after him.

Though he has been involved in the businesses while he ran popular nightclubs on Victoria Island several years ago, he decided to assume more prominent roles in the two sectors, they stated. Widely referred to as Frank Papas, Okamigbo is said to be one of the realtors making cool millions in the Lekki-Ajah axis with his investments and collaborations with other local and foreign real estate firms.

Unknown to many, Rone’s UTM Offshore is building Nigeria’s first and Africa’s first indigenous floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility – floating production storage and offloading unit that conducts liquefied natural gas operations for developing offshore natural gas resources – thereby spearheading the expansion of Nigeria’s gas market in line with the government’s Decade of Gas Initiative. According to those who should know, Rone has created innumerable employment opportunities and wealth through his entrepreneurial initiatives and excellence, which have significantly impacted the socioeconomic stability of Nigeria.
