  • Maharji Ji to Atiku: spend litigation budget on less-privileged

The founder and leader of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj ji, has advised presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the March 9 poll, Atiku Abubakar, to spend money budgeted for electoral litigations on the less-privileged.

This, he said, will earn him more favour from God instead of wasting colossal amounts on litigations.

Maharji Ji told our correspondent on phone last week that Atiku can never upturn the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari at the tribunal no matter how hard he tries.

He said: “Atiku should not waste his money on electoral litigations. I know he has money but he should give it to the less-privileged.

“God will see his heart and bless him even more. I am telling him this because no matter what he does, he cannot Buhari. Atiku is not destined to lead Nigeria.”

He told Atiku to stop chasing shadows, declaring the election has been won and lost.

“Buhari has won. There is nothing anybody can do about it. He is the one God wants there for now.

“Atiku cannot upturn that reality because he has not been chosen by God. Someone who says he will give looters amnesty cannot rule Nigeria,” the self-acclaimed Living Master declared.

  • HICC trains 1000 youths on skills acquisition

Harvesters International Christian Centre, (HICC) has trained over 1,000 graduates in Lagos mainland, Lekki and Epe in various marketable skills under the church’s Harvester Skills Acquisition Programme 7.0 at the HICC, Gbagada Lagos.

The programme featured training on Apps design, make-up, Apps Development, photograph, Mixology, graphics design, pastry and Digital marketing with 30 facilitators.

Senior Pastor of HICC, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, said as a faith- based organisation: “We believe Christianity in its human form should not only care about the human spirit but about the person’s body, finance, health, marriage and community in which we live in.”

He said the Skill Acquisition programme was geared at helping individuals understand and maximise the opportunities the societal and economic realities to be empowered or start a business and or a career of their own.

“We are committed toward empowering individuals who in turn set the pace in the society. The training seeks to raise and mentor 100 entrepreneurs.

“Our social intervention programme is not limited to Christians because the problems we face are common. Poverty is not peculiar to Christians alone.”

He noted that Nigeria has an alarming rate of unemployment at about 70 percent, meaning 7 out of 10 youths do not go to university and those that attend university are not productively engaged.

“Our approach is simple and tremendously impactful and have done quality research, which is that we are providing skills acquisition programme that is easy to learn, with small start -up capital and there is already a market.

“We have close 100 people earning N1million per annum from our training, people who  would have been prostitutes, robber and militant youths in our society,” he said.

He stressed that some of the attendees will be given seed funding upon recommendation by their mentors who will be attached to them after the programme.

He added the church was willing to partner with government through the Lagos State Employability Trust Fund.

He said one of the ways to intentionally support SMEs is that 5 percent of all government contracts should be given to company with less than 5 years of existence.

This, he explained, means that money will trickles into a sector that has otherwise not receive support and SMEs holders will be energise to do more.

  • Engaging the unlimited power of faith in the word!

Welcome to the final teaching for the month! I believe you were blessed by the last teaching. Today, we shall focus on: Engaging the Unlimited Power of Faith in the Word!

From Scriptures, we discover that at the root of all divine interventions, rewards and blessings is faith because it is a determining force for God’s intervention on our behalf. The Bible says: …but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it (Hebrews 4:2).For instance, in tertiary institutions, there are core and elective courses; until you pass the core course, you will not be promoted to the next level. Faith is not an elective course in the Kingdom; it is the principal thing. Whosoever wants to see God at work in his/her favour must believe that God is Who He says He is, and will do what He says He will do. Every promise in the Bible is for our desired turnarounds, but it will only work by faith (Luke 1:45).

Faith does not just believe that God exists; it is obedience to the Word to prove that we believe Him, and that commits God to perform our desired expectations. Our faith in the Word is fake if it is void of obedience. This is because obedience of Scripture is what gives credibility to faith (James 2:17). Our faith is ineffective without the appropriate actions. Moreover, among other benefits, faith confers us with supernatural mastery over life’s situations and circumstances. As it is written: For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith(1 John 5:4). Therefore, until we understand the mystery of faith in the Word, our discovery from the Scriptures (revelation) will be mere frustration because it is faith that defines everyone’s destiny(Matthew 9:29).Furthermore, faith in the Word entails believing equally whatever we have received, which in turn empowers us to manifest as sons of God. Therefore, we must understand that what we hear is powerless until we believe it; and what we receive is helpless until we believe it. It is a combination of receiving and believing that empowers our full-scale manifestation. It is not enough to receive the Word, we must go a little further to believe the Word in order to dominate our circumstances (John 1:12).

What then is the Nature of Faith?

    • Faith is in Action, not in Words: Faith is doing what God says in His Word about any desire of our lives. It is the answer to all seemingly impossible situations around us. As it is written: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).When our faith is released, it changes our status spiritually to make us operate in the heavenlies. Every act of faith on the Word of God commits God’s integrity to perform and when He steps in, wonders happen. When we encounter God’s Word, it addresses any issue of our lives provided we act in faith, because that makes us commit God to bail us out of it. We must not assume that we believe because we are to consciously mix the Word with faith in our hearts (Romans 10:10). Understanding inspires faith; it simply means being able to see what God is saying and that comes through a process of meditation. Meditation is pondering on the Word we have received in our hearts, till faith is secreted to absorb it. That is why we need to get hold of the right Word to consciously release and activate our faith.
    • Faith is a Spiritual Force Within that Determines the Triumphs and Happenings around Us: When the paralytic man was lowered through the roof, Jesus saw the force of faith within them and said: …arise, and take up thy bed (Mark 2:9).There was also a cripple that Paul perceived had faith to be healed and he commanded him to stand up. Immediately, he was made whole. The force of faith within created the environment for his healing and deliverance (Acts 14:9-10). The level at which the Word will profit us is determined by the degree of faith within us. Therefore, faith is not on the face, but in the heart. The events of our lives are according to our faith. Every man’s future is as designed by his faith. Therefore, it is wisdom to invest in our faith and keep it strong, so that when God unveils His next level plan for us, our faith can receive it (Matthew 9:29).

In conclusion, faith has to be bought, not wished. We buy with our time, high-level discipline and understanding. Spiritual understanding is boosted by fasting, discipline and prayer. Faith also comes by hearing from God, and hearing from Him is not cheap. It calls for high-level spiritual sensitivity 24/7 because we can’t tell when He will speak. John said, “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day…” (Revelation 1:10). Thus, you must be born again. Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now, I know I am born again!” For further reading, please get my books: Turnaround Power of the Word, The Force of Freedom, Walking in Dominion, Satan Get Lost, Born to Win and Fulfilling your Days. • Ekiti church plans hospital for less privileged at 30

Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, throbbed with guests from far and near as a prominent Pentecostal church in the city, Chapel of His Glory marked the 30th anniversary of its establishment.

It was a week of gathering of brothers and sisters in faith, which featured messages, teachings, prayers, drama ministration, praises and other spiritual menu that lifted the soul of the attendees.

The theme for the 30th anniversary was: “Blessed beyond measure” with guest speakers drawn from other ministries across the country.

The anniversary offered ministers, workers, members and guests opportunity to testify to the impact Chapel of His Glory has had on them in every facet of their lives.

The Chapel of His Glory General Overseer, Rev. (Mrs.) Modupe Salami, said the ministry was forging ahead and breaking new grounds and making impact on the life of the people spiritually and physically.

Mrs. Salami, had last year taken over the reins of the church following the demise of her husband, Rev. (Dr.) Kunle Salami, who was the founder.

Salami unveiled plans of the church to establish a hospital to cater to the needs of the less -privileged who lack the resources to access healthcare delivery in government and private health institutions.

On the intended hospital project, Mrs. Salami said: “Our ministry will soon unveil plan to establish a hospital well equipped with up-to-date state of the art equipment that will be run by the Ministry to take care of the health needs and demands  of the people and that of the society at large.

“The hospital will be equipped with equipment lacked in the government hospitals. We acknowledge that this project is still a project of faith and we believe God to bring it to reality.”

On the state of the nation, she said: “God’s intention for our nation is that we should be in peace. God’s intention for us is to have a peaceful atmosphere.

“One of the promises of God for us was that He has left His peace with us.

“So, my desire and prayer for Ekiti State and Nigeria at large is that God’s presence will take over the country completely. We had believed God that things will get better, but with the experiences, it has shown that things are getting tougher and tougher, the prices of things in the market are getting tougher and higher by the day despite government’s presence. This is where God’s factor comes in. When men fail, then God’s factor prevails.”

Speaking on her background before finding herself in the position of the shepherd of a church, Mrs Salami revealed she had her primary and secondary education at Ibadan.

According to her, she attended the School of Nursing in Ado Ekiti and the school of midwifery in Akure and after that, she worked in the government circle for 15 years before she retired to join her husband in his ministerial work.

The woman of God revealed that she obtained a bachelor degree in English Language and Literary Studies from the University of Ado Ekiti (UNAD) now the Ekiti State University (EKSU).

She explained: “I planned to have my Masters but for some reasons, I had to stop it for some reasons. I could not finish it. By the Grace of God, I am going to spend the remaining of my lifetime working in God’s vineyard.

“If at all I am going to read, I will go to the Bible College and the Ministry’s School of Discipleship to learn more about the Bible. These are what I am going to busy myself doing now that my husband is no more.”

  • My father had three wives when God called him- Oshoffa

Son of the founder of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) and Shepherd of CCC International Headquarters Church, Superior Evangelist Olatosho Oshoffa, has lambasted Nigerians who criticise his late father, Rev. Samuel Bilewu- Oshoffa, for marrying thirteen wives.

The 49-year-old evangelist, in an exclusive interview with our reporter, explained his late father was a humanitarian and a spiritual man to the core, who was already a polygamist before God called him.

He noted the late Oshoffa never had a concubine besides his thirteen wives.

Olatosho, who was recently appointed the head of the International Headquarters Church, wondered why critics of his father would question God’s judgment who had found him worthy to found a church that has remained vibrant after 72 years.

His words: “The ways of God are mysterious. God is not human. If Papa could have three wives and God would still find him worthy to found Celestial Church of Christ, who are we to judge?

“He had three wives when God called him and asked him to found CCC which is still a vibrant spiritual church today.

“If God could find him among three wives and ask him to found CCC and 72 years after, the church still exists vibrantly in the world, we have so many churches that have been founded by people and they don’t exist anymore.

“God had left those that had no wife, those that had gotten one wife, God had not made them founder of CCC.”

He continued:” God is not interested in hypocrisy. If you want to marry ten wives, let your family know you are married to ten wives officially.

“If you say you are married to one wife and you have 10 to 20 concubines, it is after your death, at your burial, that many women would claim you are the father of their children.

“What type of embarrassment is that? That was what Oshoffa avoided. All the wives were inside.

“He never had a concubine outside. The children knew one another and I am proud of him anytime. I have no regrets at all.”

On his appointment as new head of the International Headquarters of the Church, Oshoffa expressed gratitude to God and the Pastor and Spiritual Head of the church, Rev. Emmanuel Oshoffa, for the rare opportunity to serve, adding that he was a product of grace and mercy.

He however dismissed insinuations in some quarters that he lacks the experience to head the International Headquarters Church.

According to him, God had formed him locally and internationally for the tasks ahead.

He said he was the de facto shepherd of the mother parish of the church in Germany and a parish of the church in Dakar Senegal from 1993 to 1997 and 1997 to 2001 respectively because of the confidence reposed in him by shepherds of the parishes.

  • Kumuyi urges clerics, nation to build solid foundation

General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry Pastor William Kumuyi has stressed the needs to build a solid foundation by ministers of God and the nation at large.

He spoke on Wednesday at the first edition of the Minsters Development Networking summit organised by the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) in conjunction with Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Lagos and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Lagos.

It held at Deeper Life Bible Church headquarters in Gbagada Lagos Sate.

Kumuyi said a solid foundation is needed in every institution, be it government, private or the church.

“Your future is guaranteed when you build your life on a solid foundation. Build your life and ministry; build your faith to build your work with God, the fullness is in the word of God, take the shield of faith to quench fiery dart of the devil against your life,” he stated.

He noted that success in ministry is determined by the foundation we build.

“There must be a foundation for your Christian life and for your ministry, else it will be destroyed.

“You need a strong foundation; you should not operate a diminishing, deceptive or displaced foundation because it will not safe your building, it will rather make the building collapse. You have to put your foundation on spiritual check to know if it is still standing.

“There is a restoration for a foundation, be steadfast, be focused on what God has called you to do and on your life. Be strong in faith, faith comes by hearing the word of God.

“Limited hearing will yield limited faith, increased hearing will yield increase in faith, undiluted heating will bring undiluted faith and if you are full of hearing, you will be full in faith,” he said.

CAN Chairman Lagos, Apostle Alexander Bamgbola, said the foundation of Nigeria is rotten, noting that there is the need to have a new beginning.

“This nation has a rotten foundation; a foundation of corruption. Foundation is so important and it is because the foundation of this nation is rotten that we have all kinds of politicians.”

  • Only God can end political desperation in Nigeria, says Cleric

The General Overseer of the Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT) Dr.Elijah Abina has said that killings, disruption and inconclusiveness of polls especially in the recent election in the country were products of political desperation by the ruling class which could be tackled only by God.

The cleric spoke in Akure, the Ondo State capital during the dedication of Owode ASS Cathedral of the Church.

There were reported cased of election violence, militarisation of polling units leading to inconclusive elections in most parts of the country while supplementary governorship elections in Kano, Benue and other states were allegedly been hijacked by political thugs.

Abina said politicians and most Nigerians had failed to realise that only God could make a leader, hence the need for them to shun desperation in their quest for political offices during elections.

On anti-corruption war of the present administration, the clergyman commended President Muhammadu Buhari for trying to meet expectations of Nigerians, stressing that nobody could satisfy human needs.

The General Overseer who was supported by the GOFAMINT General Secretary, Pastors Olufemi Omowumi, District Pastor, Adegbola Adelabu and others noted that corruption was the major factor responsible for Nigeria’s problems.

He called  on the government to sustain the fight against corruption for a virile nation.

He said, “Desperation in politics is because people don’t know God, what is happening today in Nigeria is improper. The only solution is to come to God. In Nigeria, we are too religious, but not Godly”.

“Only God can give leaders, no need for desperation. Corruption is the brain behind Nigeria’s problems. Corruption is everywhere. Anti-corruption war is better than before, the government is trying because it is not easy to please Nigerians. Even God who created us cannot satisfy everybody”.

The cleric however sought for holistic solutions to anti-corruption war, high rate of vote buying and commercialisation of electoral system in the interest of the nation’s democracy.

  • Lead exemplary lives, Fenwa charges Christian women

General Overseer of Holy Ghost Christian Centre (HCC) Lagos, Pastor Amos Fenwa, has challenged Christian women to lead exemplary lives and never bow to pressure to do wrong.

He spoke at the burial ceremony of Mrs. Rebecca Oyategbe, mother of the zonal Pastor of HCC Abuja, Prophet Ayo Tegbe, which held at HCC beside Ori-Oke Community High School, Odo-Alamo, Ogbomoso, Oyo state.

Friends and family members gathered to celebrate the life and time of Mrs. Oyategbe, fondly called Mama Alaso.

Fenwa described the deceased as a humble and patient mentor, who trained all her seven children in the way of the Lord against all odds.

He said: “Mrs. Oyategbe is our mother in HCC and the evidence of her love for God and her contribution to the society is seen in the lives of her children and people within her neighborhood. She was a mother of great influence.”

He noted that Christian women must take a cue for her life and shine the light of Jesus Christ everywhere they find themselves.

He further praised her as a woman of exceptional wisdom and sacrifice, saying Christian women must emulate her in living for Jesus regardless of the challenges they face in their families or workplaces.

He charged Christians to remain watchful and ensure that their reservation in heaven is intact.

Fenwa stated the reality of life is that death does not respect age, saying Christians must always prepare for the second coming of Christ by consistently living a life that pleases God.

Christ Apostolic Church, District Coordinating Council, Superintendent, Ogbomoso, Osun State, Pastor Joseph Adegoke said that Mama Alaso was an industrious woman, a giver and indeed a child of God.

Adegokem who was her pastor for many years, said her motherly roles and counsel in the children ministry helped in shaping children in the church who are today successful in different fields of endeavour.

He stressed her death was a big loss to the body of Christ in Ogbomoso, adding “it is call to all of us to continue to watch, pray and never lose our guard in Christ at all times because we don’t know the date of our death.”

Tegbe told our correspondent: “God used her as my first pastor, to train and to mentor me.

“She was the first person that instructed me in the way of the Lord. God used her mightily.

“She was a caring mother and wife. She is a blessing to the body of Christ. All her children are pastors.

“I thank God for the success and testimonies that I am hearing about her from family members, neighbours and friends from across the world”.

Tegbe promised to continue to pay for the radio evangelism programme of the church in Oyo State his mother single handedly sponsored for years.

Oyategbe, who died on January 1, 2019 at 75, was prominent clothing merchant.

She was a member of the Holy Ghost Christian Centre, Ogbomoso where she served in the prayer unit.

  • Accessing the wonders of the word through revelation!

Welcome to another exciting week! I believe you were blessed by the last teaching. Today, we shall focus on: Accessing the Wonders of the Word through Revelation!

We discover from Scriptures that the Word is the key to our turnaround, and we need the right key to experience that turnaround. As it is written: Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts (Jeremiah 15:16; see also Acts 20:32).We need to have an understanding of how to get the right word to tackle our situations, because one particular key cannot open every door. It is the Word that gives us command and the Word is the light that shatters every dark area of our lives.

We have an inheritance in God’s Word which gives us access to that turnaround we desire. The Word is loaded; it is the answer to every question, the solution to every problem and the way out of every predicament. When God’s Word is rejected, the individual becomes a victim of life, because the only solution to darkness is light. That makes the Word the guarantee for our long desired success and prosperity (Joshua 1:8; Deuteronomy 28:1-3). The Word is God’s master plan for His people because it tells us where we are headed in destiny and how to get there. However, there is a platform we must attain, to be able to access the revelation of the truth. In Revelation 4:1, God said: “…Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.” We cannot see it out there on the floor; that is why He said, “Come up!” Many hear what God is saying, but very few see it. If we want to see what God is saying, we need to come up to His level.

How then, Can We Access the Revelation of the Truth?

    • Be Born Again: The Bible is made up of mysteries and these mysteries are God’s secrets behind every biblical story. However, it is the unveiling of these secrets and their application that give us the turnarounds we desire. To an ordinary man, the Scripture is made up of stories, because until a man is redeemed, he cannot access the mysteries therein. The stories are made up of letters, while the mysteries are made up of Spirit and life. Without the impartation of the life in the Word, we can only access the stories of the Word; we cannot access the wonders in it (Mark 4:11). Hence, we need to spiritually align by being born again, so we can access the Spirit virtue in the Word.
    • Be Spiritual: It is very interesting to know that even though God’s Word is the heritage of the redeemed, it is only accessible by spirituality. As long as we are carnal, we cannot access light from heaven. This is the greatest challenge of the Church today. There are men who are filled with the Spirit, but only few truly walk in the Spirit (Revelation 1:10). They do not allow themselves to be used by the Holy Spirit, even when they are filled. We must be in the Spirit to hear what God is saying to us per time. That means our spirit-man needs to be actively alive, if we must engage heaven and hear God’s voice.
    • Be Filled with the Holy Spirit: We need the baptism of the Holy Spirit to break the limit off our access to the Word; otherwise, we are limited. The Holy Spirit enhances our access to the Word and brings us into realms of unlimited depth in the things of God, for He teaches us all things and without Him, we know nothing (John 16:12). And the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth (John 14:26). The Holy Spirit is real! When Peter exploded in revelation on the day of Pentecost, there was no way to access that realm except by the Holy Spirit. He became a professor in ministry, without opening any notebook (1 Corinthians 2:10). Thus, every believer is limited in access without the Holy Spirit.
    • We Must Thirst for the Word: There is a price to pay to gain access to our own word of command. It is a thirst price (Isaiah 55:1). In Agricultural Science, we understand that it is easy for sandy soil to get water because it is porous, but clay soil is thick; water cannot easily flow into it. We need to create a sandy situation around our hearts and that is where being thirsty comes in. There is always a need to create a thirst by which God’s Word moves us without restriction.
    • Connect to the Ministry of Teaching Priests: The ministry of the teaching priest is vital to our quest for light (the Word) that leads to our turnarounds. These teaching priests are endowed with divine access to unusual light, which grants us access to our own light as seen in the case of the children of Israel (2 Chronicles 15:3-4/8). The arrival of a teaching priest provoked a complete change of story. Therefore, by the ministry of the teaching priest, we take spiritual command to compel our all-round rest. Just a word from the Lord through a teaching priest can change any situation, if we open our hearts to receive it.

In summary, without genuine attention, we cannot get our sent Word. Triumphing in the world of command requires giving genuine attention to the Word. Many people do not have time for the issues of their lives; they keep waiting for that “one day”. There is no such day! Every day is the Lord’s Day, but the day we encounter our word is our day. If we don’t give attention to the Word, we will not get it because the Word of command requires genuine attention of the seeker. However, you must be born again.
