  • C&S Primate marks 30 years on pulpit at 50

C&S Primate marks 30 years on pulpit at 50

Members and well-wishers recently showered encomiums on Primate of the St Peters Cherubim and Seraphim Band Apostle Samson Albert Arojah, who clocked 50 and celebrated his 30th anniversary on the pulpit.

The celebration simultaneously took place in London, Tamroyal Hall in Ketu, Lagos and Dosumu Compound, Iwopin in Ogun State.

There was a live report from the headquarters church at Iwopin where no fewer over 4000 people, including four traditional rulers, gathered for the celebration.

In Lagos, among the crowd were federal and state lawmakers as well as professional and religious bodies.

They described Arojah’s large-heartedness and self-sacrifice as unusual.

Board members and beneficiaries of the Wale Oyerinde Lion Foundation (WORF), a charity concern he set up in 2011, said the man of God has been a one-stop solution centre for many oppressed.

“I came here weeping,’ said Mrs. Victoria Odutola, referring to what led her to the St Peters C&s Band. “But now I’m a happy person.”

Rhoda Sule, a medical student and member of the church, said God is love “but Arojah is a living example of that invisible love.”

On why he embarks on many philanthropic efforts, Arojah said: “We are created differently. That is how God created me.”

Effiong Bassey, a member of the church, described the celebrator as a rare gem.

“It is when you trace his origin back to Iwopin you will understand that Arojah is a rough diamond—not just found anywhere,” he stated.

Commenting on the prophet’s resourcefulness, Bassey said composing and arranging a record-breaking 600-hymn collection confirms Arojah as unique.

Representatives of the Equity and Justice Movement described him as a great contributor to human development in Nigeria.

The rights group gave him an award, the first of such in its over two decades of existence.

The celebration ended with the launch of his book and debut album, an audio production of some of his works compiled in the three-volume Arojah Hymnal.

  • You can celebrate your champion

    You can celebrate your champion

Beyond mid-week activities, many churches usually draw amazing crowd of worshippers to their Sunday services. To some extent, some people have, erroneously, come to believe that the parameter for measuring a success in ministry is a church which commands huge fellowship and can boast of huge edifice as a place of worship.

But do the crowd pulling potentials of churches amount to anything? One has often been caught in traffic jams orchestrated by influx of vehicles around worship arenas on several occasions. Incidentally, one honestly can’t question that because, the constitution of Nigeria guarantees her citizens freedom to congregate and freedom of worship.

Secondly, one wonders what our drifting world will become if society is devoid of the vital character molding role and other moral needs that the church plays in society.

Hence, while church operation cannot but flourish in line with the command of the Master and Savior Jesus Christ, offering and tithe collections have made many some servants of God supper rich.

In the days of early European missionary, the church catered for the spiritual, social and economic needs of their converts. It also blazed the trail for human and societal development.

Many have argued that today’s church operators rather feed fat on tithes and offerings paid by worshipper while majority of their followers suffer abject poverty to the extent that their wards can’t even afford to go to the missionary schools built with income from the offerings and tithes that their parents paid to the church.

However, a recent survey shows that this is not entirely correct. Quite a good number of churches are pace setters in different areas. A South African national simply identified as Betty spoke after fellowship at the Ikotun headquarters of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).

She said that Prophet T B Joshua is a clear champion of what he described as ‘reversed mission to Africa.’

According to her, a constant scenario at the SCOAN depicts foreign worshipers who are attracted by Joshua’s miracle making prowess and massive charity globally.  ”Streams of religious tourists also troop into Nigeria just because of the Ministry of the man of God and Africa has indeed swapped roles which early European missionaries who used to be the source of spiritual solace for Africans,” Betty added.

A Peruvian national, Sophie, last Sunday said: “Gone are the days when foreign missionaries brought the good news to Nigerian and the rest of Africa, do charity, built schools, hospitals and rehabilitations centers here.

“The founder of SCOAN is currently providing succor, charity and meeting spiritual need of religious pilgrims from every part of the globe. He has built schools; rehabilitated communities devastated by natural disasters, provided food for the hungry in different parts of the world.”

She added: “T.B. Joshua is the only black missionary who has attracted more foreigners to his country. In those days, especially shortly after the abolition of the slave trade, white missionaries brought the gospel to Africans but today, the whites are the ones trooping to Africa in search of spiritual succour at The Synagogue Church of All Nations.”

But why do foreigners flood the SCOAN when Joshua is more or less ostracised by fellow ministers in his own country? Jackson, a visiting American worshipper said: “Is the answer not found in the Bible. A prophet is definitely not honoured in his own native home, If Prophet T.B. Joshua has nothing to offer, we will not be coming out here week in week out.

”Outside his healing and deliverance ministries, Prophet Joshua is an internationally-acclaimed philanthropist whose acts of charity, has caught the attention of the United Nations.

“According a Forbes report, the man of God has spent over 20 million dollars in humanitarian aid in different parts of the world. Together with his Emmanuel TV Partners, succour and financial aid has gone to many people, nations and institutions around the world. You can celebrate you champion; why not?” Jackson asked.

Recently, Prophet Joshua had challenged fellow ministers of God and indeed other Nigerians to stop thinking of what aid they can get from foreign donors and cultivate the habit of sending help to nationals of other countries.

Other Nigerian clerics that have left indelible marks in ministry include Dr. Tony Rapu of This Present House. His church is famous for providing a center where socially maladjusted youngsters, drug victims ad harlots are rehabilitated.

Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House on the Rock, went into the records for turning thousands notorious area boys to Jesus boys who are today useful to society.

From time to time, different churches organize training and empowerment programmes for indigent members of the society.

    Oga writes from Lagos.

  • Invest more on missions, cleric challenges churches

The Senior Pastor of Mercy Christian Centre Lagos Pastor Funsho James has advised church leaders to invest more resources and manpower into advancing the Great commission to reach communities around the world.

James spoke last week at the annual convention tagged Great Commission.

He said that the task of the Great Commission was urgent and requires more investment from the church especially in rural areas where impact of the gospel has not been felt.

James pointed out a recent statistics that 3.2 billion all over the world have not heard about the gospel of Jesus, saying it was incumbent on the church to double up its effort in reaching to the unreached communities for Christ.

He lamented many churches in urban centres continue to enjoy the ambience of city life without reaching out to the destitute, drug addicts and slum dwellers among them.

The cleric, who cited a recent mission work carried out by a member of the church in Benue state, said: “Only 200 slippers was distributed to the rural dwellers and the impact of the mission work was great as the people were receptive to the gospel”.

He described the challenges most independent missionaries in rural communities go through as worrisome and disturbing.

According to him: “Many missionaries feel abandon, forgotten and some are getting frustrated on the mission fields because their needs are not being prioritised by sending churches.

“This must be addressed urgently so that the preaching of the gospel message does not suffer”.

He took a swipe at some church leaders who think mission is about starting another branch, noting that mission work is for every believer and the church should put adequate support system in place for it to grow.

“Jesus Christ is coming very soon. Our effort and investments in mission will help in reaching the lost world for Christ. It is a task that must be done,” he stressed.

  • Court nullifies YOWICAN election

    •Reinstates outgoing president
•Injunction technically faulty, suspicious, says CAN

An Abuja High Court has set aside the January 27 presidential election of the Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

The election that produced Apostle Nnyenime Andy as president has been contested by his outgoing predecessor, Engineer Daniel Kazai.

Kazai argued his three-year tenure was not completed before the exercise, saying he had seven months left to preside over the body.

In a suit no FCT/HC/CV/067218 between Engr Daniel Kazai and Elder Biodun Sanyaolu, CAN and Barrister Samuel Kwamkur, Justice M. Balami, in a ruling dated February 13, ordered the setting aside of the election.

He also granted a mandatory injunction restraining the defendants from “deliberating on, receiving and accepting the unlawful election of national YOWICAN pending hearing of the substantive application(s).”

The judge further restrained National Executive Council (NEC) of CAN “from allowing any of the elected officials or purportedly sworn national president of YOWICAN from holding out themselves as exco of national YOWICAN until the hearing and determination of the substantive applications.”

He also directed the Inspector General of Police, Director General State Security Service (SSS), Commandant General of Nigeria of Civil and Security Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other relevant security apparatuses to enforce the ruling.

Kazai told our correspondent on Friday that justice has been served.

He said: “We salute the competence of the judiciary in handling the case. It is indeed worth celebrating to know that our judiciary is non-biased and is playing well its constitutional role of ensuring rule of law.

“We call on Christians and general public to beware of impostors parading themselves as YOWICAN officials to defraud innocent Nigerians, most especially taking advantage of forthcoming general elections.”

He added: “Machinations that elevate favouritism and cheap politics should not be allowed to operate in CAN. We ought to be guided in what we do, at least for the benefit of posterity.”

But the National Legal Adviser of CAN, Barrister Samuel Kwamkur, faulted the technicality of the ruling.

He said the judge couldn’t have given an injunction without hearing from the two parties involved.

Kwamkur told our correspondent: “We are highly suspicious of the injunction but as a lawyer, we take everything that comes from the court on the face value.

“We were in court on January 31 and the court didn’t say anything. It said the case was just assigned on 30th. The court asked us to return on February 23 only for us to get the injunction.

On the next line of action, the legal adviser said: “We recognise the injunction but it is like a university certificate. When you present it, it will be verified.

“An injunction is not a judgment. We are filing another motion to set aside that injunction because the judge has not listened to us. I am sure when he listens to us he will set aside what he gave before.”

He carpeted Kazai for running a one-man show, wondering why he didn’t show up at the NEC meeting last week.

“He is an unpopular leader with no followers at all. Otherwise why didn’t he show up at the NEC meeting since he claims to have the backing of the court?”

  • Unlocking our New Dawn Heritage in Christ!

Welcome to another exciting edition! In previous articles, we examined Understanding our New Dawn Heritage in Redemption and Unveiling our New Dawn Heritage through Encounters with the Word. Today, we shall focus on ‘Unlocking our New Dawn Heritage in Christ!’ We must understand that New Dawn connotes new things; experiencing a change of story from strength to strength, from glory to glory and our paths keep shinning brighter and brighter (Deuteronomy 33:25; 2 Corinthians 3:18). According to Scripture, by redemption we are members of the household of God. We are a new dawn family; that is, when we are saved, old things pass away and all things become new. As it is written: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). This means that when we are baptised unto Jesus, we are empowered to live and walk in the newness of life (Ephesians 2:19) and we become members of the household of the justified (Proverbs 4:18).

But, how do we position ourselves to unlock our New Dawn Heritage in Christ?

More often than not, a radio box has all the channels but we have to tune in to the right frequency to access any news. This implies that, before we can position ourselves to unlock our New Dawn Heritage in Christ, we must:

    • Be Born Again: Until we are born again, we will never access any mystery of the Kingdom. It is written: And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand (Luke 8:10).Remember, salvation is not an ideology; it is an experience (2 Corinthians 5:17). Therefore, we should ensure that our salvation is not assumed but genuine.
    • Be Desperate for an Encounter: Everything in the Kingdom delivers on our crave. Be desperate for an encounter into a world of new things that never cease and into a world of strange works and strange acts of God. For instance, the man Zacchaeus was desperate for an encounter with Jesus. Therefore, he climbed the tree and Jesus gave him an unforgettable encounter (Luke 19:1-10). Also, concerning Jacob the Bible records: The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel (Isaiah 9:8). His encounter had an impact on a whole nation. Remember, no casual approach holds a future. Be desperate!
    • Be Spiritual: Only men of the Spirit hear from heaven. We cannot have an encounter with God through His Word without being in the Spirit. As it is written: I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet (Revelation 1:10). It is important that we come out of our carnality into the realm of the Spiritual to unlock our New Dawn Heritage in Christ. The Bible says: After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter (Revelation 4:1).
    • Be Sensitive: Elisha was a highly sensitive man! He desired a double portion of the spirit of his master Elijah and this required that he saw Elijah when he was being taken up and he got it! (2 Kings 2:9-10). Every moment spent with God is important. Thus, we need to be watchful enough to catch our own Word when it comes. Be sensitive!
    • Maintain a Quiet Spirit: We need to maintain a quiet Spirit to have encounters with God. We can maintain a quiet spirit in a congregation and be noisy in a private place (1 Kings 19:11-13). We need to be disciplined concerning our telephones and various communications channels. As it is written: But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price (1 Peter 3:4).Do you desire an encounter with God? Then maintain a quiet spirit.
    • Be Joyful: It takes joy to encounter the Word. It takes a joyful heart to connect with the joyful sound from heaven (Psalm 89:15). For instance, Jesus always knew what to do because He was joyful. It is written in Luke 10:21:In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. Paul was another man that was operating with abundance of revelation because of joy. He was a man of unusual depth. Concerning him, the Bible records that he enjoins believers: Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice (Philippians 4:4; see also 1 Thessalonians 5:16).
    • Walk in the Fear of God: The fear of God gives us unlimited access into the deep things of God. So, the more of the fear of God we embrace; the deeper our insight into the secrets of God and the Word of life. Because: The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant (Psalm 25:14; see also Job 1:8; Genesis 42:18).

In summary, to enjoy these New Dawn packages in Christ, new birth is the access code. Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!” For further reading, please get my books: Exploring the Riches in Redemption and Understanding Your Covenant Rights. • How to receive outpouring of blessings, by Adeboye

Only those who put God first in all their affairs are guaranteed of outpouring of his blessings, the general overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has declared.

He spoke penultimate Sunday during the Outpouring 2108 conference of the RCCG Region I at the Tafawa Balewa Square Lagos.

Outpouring, according to him, means getting to the top, stating for anyone to get to the top, he or she must be a worker of righteousness.

“When God pours Himself on anyone, that is outpouring, and without much effort, the person would get to the top but that cannot happen until the person regarded as a vessel has been cleansed.

“Cleansing comes when one repents and forsakes His past evil deeds and gives his entire life to God through Jesus Christ and he or she after receiving outpouring will begin to witness to others which is one of the evidences of outpouring upon the recipient.”

Adeboye, who also spoke through the Assistant General Overseer, Administration and Personnel, Pastor Johnson Odesola, added that for the nation to move forward and get to the top, political leaders must re-work policies in a way that would make an average Nigerian to have sense of belongings.

“Those good policies that have not been executed should be re-opened and be carried out.

“Government should create more jobs and I believe strongly that the government has the capacity and wherewithal to do those things that would benefit an average Nigerian. What is actually needed is the political will.”

  • Muslim leaders, other hail elevation of Anglican Archbishop

Residents of the four local government areas of Akoko have lauded the recent elevation of Akoko Anglican Bishop, Revd Gabriel Akinbiyi, as Archbishop of Ondo Province.

They described the development as a blessing to the people of the area especially with the recent approval of Police Area Command also in Akoko

Ondo Province comprises of All Anglican Dioceses in Ondo and Ekiti states.

According to an Islamic and community leader in the area, Alhaji Ibrahim Kilani, the promotion of Akinbiyi as Archbishop is well deserved going by various developments the Anglican Church and the cleric have brought to Akoko land.

Kilani noted he benefited from sound educational policies of the church even as a Muslim.

He called on Akinbiyi to continue with the good work he was noted for in Akokoland, particularly on religion tolerance and peaceful co- existence of all faiths.

Other stakeholders eulogised Akinbiyi for his burning love for evangelism and leadership virtues, which uplifted the area during his stewardship in Akoko.

  • Onuoha: Buhari must stop herdsmen or else…

Onuoha: Buhari must stop herdsmen or else…

Executive Director Nigeria Interfaith Action (NIFAA) and President, Vision Africa, Dr. Sunday Onuoha, has challenged President Muhammadu Buhari to bring the killings by herdsmen across the nation to a stop.

He said the killers must also be bought to book to reassure Nigeria of the President’s commitment to peace and justice.

Onuoha, who spoke with our correspondent, said Buhari was elected to tackle insecurity, saying the recent killings by herdsmen remain a litmus test for the President’s capacity to lead the nation.

He said: “From Agatu in Benue State, Akure in Ondo State, Bukuru area in Plateau State, Oke Ogun area in Oyo State, Gassaka and Bali local government areas in Taraba State to Nimbo in Enugu State, Adamawa State among others, rampaging herdsmen seem to be on a mission to draw blood.

“Everywhere they go, sorrow, tears and blood trail them. Curiously, they operate in such audacious fashion that makes mockery of our national security arrangement.

“Sadly, as it was the case at the onset of Boko Haram insurgence, the dastardly acts of these unacceptable herdsmen have not really been accorded the requisite handling by appropriate authorities.

He said the President must rise to the occasion to reassure Nigerians, warning “if he fails, it will be very dangerous and disastrous.”

On the proposed Cattle colonies by the federal government, Onuoha said there are so many countries of the world raising more cows with such abnormalities.

He said: “I humbly ask the federal government to find out what the global best practices are and do same.”

He also called on Nigerians to stop celebrating men with questionable character, saying “It is not the amount of wealth you amass but rather your character, we should also teach our children the true character.

“But when we begin to celebrate people with questionable characters, give them honour in places of worship, give them titles in our villages and our young ones can see that they are bad people but we are honouring them, we are the one multiplying our pains.”

  • Churches must harness untapped mission workforces, says Kehinde

Churches must harness untapped mission workforces, says Kehinde

The General Overseer of Agape Generation International Church Lagos Rev Toyin Kehinde has emphasised the needs for churches to harness the untapped harvest force among them for expansion of global mission.

Kehinde spoke with our correspondent last week ahead of Global Mandate Conference slated for February 15-18 at the church.

The conference with the theme from here to the ends of the earth will attract hundreds of mission agencies, missionaries, support groups and mission funders.

Kehinde, who is the convener of the conference, lamented that mission fields were suffering from inadequate manpower.

This, he said, is because churches have not been harnessing the numerous untapped workforces among them.

According to him: “The thing is we have to think out of the box to get missions into the unreached parts of the world. The conventional approach of sending missionaries is good but we need much more.

“For example, we have skilled members of church relocating overseas for work-related purposes. They are going to be among most unconverted people.

“That category of people must be trained and equipped to take the gospel along as they relocate. It is not just about having a church where immigrants can worship but much more about reaching the nationals of foreign countries where they relocate to.”

He also pointed at the many Nigerian students in the Diaspora as another veritable workforce that churches have not harnessed.

These students, he said, will be exposed to their colleagues from many parts of the world during which they can evangelise if well equipped.

Kehinde, who is also the Secretary of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Lagos Chapter, stated: “If we make these students mission-minded, they will effortlessly convert their colleagues from other nations.

“And it will almost be at no cost to our churches and ministries because the students are sponsored by their parents.”

He said the conference will address challenges and prospects of mission efforts by Nigerians as well as provide networking opportunities for missionaries and support agencies.

Some of the other issues for consideration, according to him, include new ways for global mission engagement, critical thinking on succession plan as well as fund generation strategies for mission groups.

Ministers expected at the conference include Bishop Sola Ore, Bishop Abraham Olaleye, Rev Timothy Olonade, Rev Dr Emmanuel Ajose, Rev Bode Orekoya, Pastor Peter Akinola and Bishop Collins from the US.

  • Unveiling our new dawn heritage through encounters with the word!

Unveiling our new dawn heritage through encounters with the word!

Welcome to the second week of February. Today, we shall focus on ‘Unveiling our New Dawn Heritage through Encounters with the Word!’

It is important to know that New Dawn connotes new things, where we experience change of story from strength to strength, from glory to glory and where our paths keep shinning brighter and brighter (Deuteronomy 33:25; 2 Corinthians 3:18). Also, we must recognise that every truth of Scripture is valid for all times but applicable to only those who are interested. This connotes that seeking the Kingdom of God first, giving of tithes, obedience to His Word and building our faith is valid for all times but it is only applicable to whosoever is interested.

However, it is important to know that, an encounter is accessing the voice of God behind the scriptures on any subject matter thereby dominating in that area. It is written: Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the Word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high (Hebrews 1:3; see also Isaiah 34:16). Thus, the Word we see and apply is what we call an encounter (1 Samuel 3:21; Isaiah 2:1); which in turn commits God to give whatsoever He has promised (Genesis 13:15).

What then, are some of the Proofs of Word Encounters?

For it is written: Prove all things; hold fast that which is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21).

    • Supernatural Faith: We saw from scriptures that what made the faith of Abraham unshakeable, in spite of his age, was a raw encounter with the Word. Concerning him the Bible records: …And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God (Romans 4:18-20; see also Genesis 12:3). Every genuine Word encounter spurs supernatural faith. Thus, supernatural faith is one vital proof of a true encounter with the Word. It is an evidence of God’s appearance to you from His Word to deliver your New Dawn package in redemption.
    • Supernatural Boldness: Another vital proof of Word encounters is supernatural boldness. This was demonstrated in the lives of the early Apostles. After receiving the Holy Ghost, they spoke with boldness. Concerning them, the Bible records: And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the Word of God with boldness (Acts 4:31; see also Acts 4:20, 14:3). Supernatural boldness will engender signs and wonders; thereby enforcing our New Dawn Heritage. Remember, whenever we speak boldly and don’t doubt in our hearts, we shall have what we say (Mark 11:24).
    • Supernatural Joy: People with free access to Word encounters are ever rejoicing. They live above depression and sorrow because every found Word stirs joy. As it is written: Thy Words were found, and I did eat them; and thy Word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts (Jeremiah 15:16; see also Psalm 119:162). With joy and rejoicing, we will live a super healthy life and thus, we shall access our New Dawn Heritage (Proverbs 4:22, 17:22, and 18:14).
    • Supernatural Strength: Every Word encounter comes along with divine strength. Strength can be likened to might as seen in: And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee (Judges 6:14; see also Jeremiah 4:5).
    • Supernatural Wisdom: The Word of God is defined as the wisdom of God. For it is written: Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute (Luke 11:49). Thus, supernatural wisdom in a man is depicted by the Word of God that comes out of his mouth. So, every applied encounter with the Word puts us into partnership with God (Psalm 19:7; Proverbs 13:20). However, God’s wisdom is not just that of words; but of mighty works (Psalm 104:24; Matthew 13:54).
    • Supernatural Health: My son, attend to my Words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:20-22). In the above scripture, the word ‘health’ means medicine. 1979, I secured my health insurance with Jesus from Matthew 8:17 and I am enjoying that policy till now.

In conclusion, our lives will be full of testimonies as long as we keep having encounters with the Word of God and every testimony is a confirmation of the Word. Nevertheless, to provoke your New Dawn Heritage through Word encounters, you must be born again. Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour.
