  • AXA Mansard sponsors Special Olympics Games in Abu Dhabi

    AXA Mansard, a member of the AXA Group, sponsored the just-concluded Special Olympics World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi, Chief Executive Officer, AXA Mansard Health Plc, Mr Tope Adeniyi has said.

    In a statement, Adeniyi said the  the Special Olympics World Games are held every two years.

    He said Austria hosted the Winter Games in 2017, where 22 athletes represented Nigeria, winning 12 Gold and 10 Silver medals.

    According to him, the Special Olympics World Summer Games  were the largest sports and humanitarian event in the world this year.

    He said: “The need to show our concern and support towards children and young adults that are physically challenged cannot be over-emphasised seeing they have very little opportunity to participate in organised athletic events. Sponsoring the iconic event is our way of ultimately contributing towards the mental and physical wellness of these children.

    “While the games serve to promote the concept of involvement in physical activity and other opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities, it also gives an opportunity for children and young adults all over the world to bond and create memories that will last a lifetime, while inspiring them to push beyond the barrier of intellectual disabilities.

    “At AXA Mansard, we remain resolute in making the world a healthier place, as such, we throw our weight behind initiatives that promotes mental and physical wellness in the society.”

  • AXA Mansard promotes World School Games

    AXA Mansard, a member of AXA, has sponsored the CIS to the World School Games  in Dubai.

    In a statement, Group Head, Strategy & Marketing of the firm, Mr Kola Oni announced AXA Mansard’s commitment to promoting youth sports, healthy living and development among children.

    He said the World School Games was a three-day international multi-sport competition staged in Dubai and attended by International Schools from across the globe.

    He said: “A minimum of 16 students (eight boys and eight girls) from each school took part in athletics, football and swimming in a bid to accrue the most points and be crowned World Champions. The three-day competition saw CIS Lagos, winning several gold medals amongst others in athletics and swimming. The aim of the games was to create a truly international event that brings together students from all over the world, breaks down social and cultural barriers, and celebrates the talent, diversity and sportsmanship of children from different countries, backgrounds and education systems.

    “We are excited to be a part of this iconic event as we promote youth sports, healthy living and development amongst children through the sponsorship of CIS Lagos to the  World School Games. It is a unique stage for the world’s best young athletes to compete in a fun and competitive event, at truly world class facilities. It was an opportunity for children all over the world to bond and create memories that will last a lifetime, while inspiring kids to become more physically active for a lifetime from an early age.   • AXA Mansard celebrates International Women’s Day

    AXA Mansard, a member of AXA, an insurance and asset management firm, has joined women to celebrate the International Women’s Day.

    March  8 is celebrated as International Women’s Day.

    This date is significant in many ways; it is a time to reflect on the progress made on women’s rights as well as celebrate their courage and determination by ordinary women around the world.

    The theme for the International Women’s Day is ‘Think equal, build smart, innovate for change’ and is focused on empowering women for gender parity through innovation, particularly in social protection systems, public service access and sustainable infrastructure.

    AXA Mansard Insurance Plc Chief Executive Officer, Mr Kunle Ahmed said women have become very important in decision making for the purchase of insurance and other financial services.

    He said this is why AXA has developed the SHE (Super Heroes Everyday) initiative.

    Through this initiative, AXA is committed to partnering with women across all groups, sectors and life stages to build a network that can support the growth of their businesses and generally create better lives for themselves and their families, he added.

  • AXA Mansard restates commitment to customer service

    AXA Mansard Insurance Plc, a member of the AXA Group and global leader in insurance and asset management, has restated its commitment to service excellence, the Group Head of Strategy & Marketing of the company, Mr. Kola Oni, has said.

  • AXA Mansard announces AXA partnership with Liverpool FC

    AXA Mansard, a member of the AXA Group, has announced that AXA is partnering Liverpool FC.

    According to statement made available to reporters in Lagos, AXA reignites its sponsorship strategy to join forces with one of the most famous names in sports.

  • AXA Mansard observes Breast Cancer awareness month

    AXA Mansard Insurance Plc, a member of AXA Group, has  observed the just concluded Breast Cancer Awareness month.

    In a statement by the firm, Breast Cancer Awareness Week, which is observed around the world in October, is an annual international campaign organised by major breast cancer charities to increase awareness of the disease.

    The week is also used to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, cure and offers information and support to those affected by the disease.

    AXA Mansard Health Limited Chief Executive Officer, Tope Adeniyi, said there has not been any sure way to prevent breast cancer yet.

    He said: “This is why it is so important to conduct regular screenings. Women need to talk to their doctors on the benefits of screenings and self-Breast examinations and risk factors. It has become increasingly important for women to be active participants in their breast health.

    “There are about 1.38 million new cases and 458,000 deaths from breast cancer each year. Breast cancer is by far the most common cancer in women worldwide, both in the developed and developing countries. Majority of deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries, where people are diagnosed at late stages mainly due to lack of awareness on early detection and barriers to health services. Early detection is critical to survival. It is, therefore, important to educate both men and women about the importance of early detection, and critical conversations about appropriate screenings with their healthcare provider.

    “To emphasise and highlight the increasing importance of early detection and screening, AXA Mansard carried out a number of activities, including a breast cancer awareness talk, breast self-examination training, nutritional assessment and, general wellness screening in the month of October.  At AXA Mansard, we remain at the forefront of health maintenance and continue to strive towards making a difference in the lives of people as we join in the fight against breast cancer. We remain resolute in making the world a healthier place.”

  • AXA Mansard launches First Responders Service

    AXA Mansard Plc, a member of AXA Group, has launched the first responder service, which aims to support customers whose vehicles are insured with the company whenever they are involved in road accidents, Divisional Director, Retail Solutions, AXA Mansard Insurance, Mrs. Rashidat Adebisi, has said.
    In a statement in Lagos, she stated that the First Responder Service is an initiative meant to provide immediate assistance to customers on AXA Mansard’s retail motor insurance plan right at the scene of an accident.
    She said the service also aims to reduce turnaround time for service delivery to customers.
    According to her, with the introduction of the new service, customers with vehicles worth a minimum of N3 million will have access to trained First Responder Officers.
    She said: “The First Responder Officers will provide on-the-spot assistance to eligible customers at the scene of an accident, assess the damage to customers’ vehicles and start the claims settlement process with a view to concluding it rapidly.
    “We are delighted to introduce AXA First Responder service to our motor insurance subscribers. Customer experience is very important to us and we are ensuring that we provide services that would be customer-oriented. The service would help our customers to get both service and support in the event of a road traffic accident. We assure our customers that they would receive the needed support as they navigate their way around town.
    “With the First Responder service, eligible customers will have access to the First Responder officers who will provide on-the-spot assistance to them should they be involved in an accident. This is another benefit of being on the AXA Mansard comprehensive motor insurance plan. The officers will be accessible to customers between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm on weekdays; and access to the service is absolutely free. The service is currently only available in Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Lekki, Ikeja, and Surulere areas in Lagos. But it will expand.”
    Reccently, AXA Mansard won the Outstanding Insurance Brand of the Year by the Marketing Edge Brand and Advertising Excellence Award for her innovative solutions in pensions, investment, health and protection.

    AXA Mansard Insurance Plc, a member of the AXA Group and global leader in insurance and asset management, has emerged as the Insurance Company of the Year.

    The firm won the award at the Sixth edition of the Marketing Edge Brand and Advertising Excellence Awards in Lagos.

    Speaking on the recognition, the Brand Strategy and Communications Manager, AXA Mansard Insurance Plc, Mr. Emeka Muonaka, said they were happy to be recognised also as the Outstanding Insurance Company of the Year.

  • AXA Mansard sensitises Corps members

    IN line with her youth engagement strategy, AXA Mansard Insurance Plc, a member of the AXA Group and global leader in insurance and asset management, has taken its its enlightenment programme to various National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation camps across the country.

    The team, which comprised experts from insurance, investment, pensions and health insurance, engaged Corps members in Lagos, Rivers States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on the various solutions available for them across the AXA Mansard range of products.
