BBNaija: Miracle is third Head of House

Big Brother Housemate, Miracle has emerged Head of House in Monday’s challenge.
The challenge for Head of House starred four housemates, including Ifu Ennada, Ahneeka, Leo and Miracle.
Miracle emerged winner of the challenge after successfully picking the right colour of balls in a bucket.
This was preceded by Ahneeka’s elimination, after Ahneeka failed to obey the rules guiding the challenge.
The four housemates were required to randomly pick the correct colour of balls arranged in a bucket, blindfolded by the ninjas.
Ahneeka however continued to look down into the bucket disobeying Biggie’s instructions to look up while using their fingers to pick the correct ball.
After several attempts and subsequent eliminations of Leo and Ahneeka; Miracle emerged winner, closely followed by Ifu Ennada who gave quite a fierce challenge.
Miracle will now share his new Head of House lounge with his paired partner, Anto as Biggie refused him the right of picking any other housemate, which would most obviously be Nina, his former strategic pair and romantic partner.
Ifu Ennada failed to hide her frustration and angst at her continued misfortunes. She lamented that this was the fourth time she qualified for the Final Head of House Challenge and failed to win again.
“I would no longer compete for Head of House Challenge. I would nominate Leo or someone else to participate. This is bad luck indeed,” she complained.

BBNaija: How six housemates were sacked in one day

After 21 days in the Big Brother Naija House, (BBNaija ) the first live eviction took place on Sunday night with four housemates who had the least number of votes being eased out through the usual eviction process.

Two hours before the live eviction show, Khloe and K.Brule (K-Square) was disqualified from the show after violating the house rules three times as a pair.

Recall that K.Brule incurred the first strike after injuring his wrist and ankle in the first week, following a rejection of his romantic advance to female housemate Anto, thereby violating a section of the house rule on self-inflicted violence. The last two strikes occurred Saturday night when Khloe was seen in a playback video referring to K.Brule as a ‘bastard’. The third and last strike was incurred by K.Brule who was seen in another video physically assaulting another housemate, Dee-One.

Apart from the K-Square who left the house despite their immunity from normal eviction, the pair of Leo and Alex (LeoLex) was excluded from the eviction fever this week, as they had been saved through Khloe’s veto as Head of House last week.

The first to be evicted, as announced by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu during the live eviction show in Johannesburg, South Africa was Princess and Bitto (PriTo) with 3.5 percent of the total votes cast. This was followed by the pair of Dee-One and Vandora (VanDee) who happened to be the housemates with the least public votes with 2.98 percent.

Bitto said he had expected the eviction, adding that the longest he wanted to stay in the House was two weeks, but it turned out he did three weeks. This was just as Princess too admitted she felt a bit downcast after doing a recap of her journey in the House. On why she kept asking Bitto if he was married, she said she needed to know because it was a strategic partnership. Thus, when Ebuka asked Bitto on the stage if he was truly married, he answered in the negative. Bitto had been wearing a band which he said belongs to his mother. He said he brought it to the House to help him focus on the game.

When Dee-One and Vandora joined Ebuka on stage, Vandora said they might have been evicted because they were not into a romantic relationship like others, while Dee-One thought his utterances as a comedian might have put him in the bad books of some people. On reports about being married, he said he decided to keep that out of the game. Vandora however said she suspected he was married due to the way he carried himself in the house.

The live eviction made six, the number of expelled housemates in one day, leaving the remaining 14 housemates to continue the competition.

This season, the housemates are playing in pairs, thus, if a housemate gets a reward or punishment, the partner is also at the receiving end.

The show kicked off with Ebuka introducing music act, OritseFemi who did a remix of his ‘Double Wahala’ hit song, a title which incidentally is the theme of this year’s show. His second song, ‘Ongba Larami’ equally got the studio guests dancing.

Before the second set of eviction was announced, the show also had Mr 2Kay on the stage, doing his ‘Belema’ song.

The table turned for immunity-enjoying pair, Khloe and K.Brule who no one thought will leave the Big Brother Naija (BBN) House this week, owing to the former’s post as Head of House which excluded her and her strategic partner, K.Brule from being nominated for possible eviction last week.

However, after incurring three strikes as a pair, both housemates were disqualified from the competition on Sunday, about two hours before the live eviction show.

K.Brule incurred the first strike after injuring his wrist and ankle in the first week, following a rejection of his romantic advance by female housemate Anto, thereby violating a section of the house rule on self-inflicted violence. The last two strikes occurred Saturday night after Khloe was seen in a playback video referring to K.Brule as a ‘bastard’. The third and last strike was incurred by K.Brule who was seen in the same video assaulting another housemate, Dee-One physically.

The expulsion came as a surprise to fans of the show, who were only expecting four housemates to be evicted.

Thus, when the pair of Princess and Bitto (PriTo) and Vandora and Dee-One (VanDee) were evicted during the live show, it made six, the number of housemates eased out in one day.

Tobi and Cee-C, otherwise called CeeBi were nominated for possible eviction by five out of the nine other pairs, making their nomination the second highest to that of Miracle, the pilot and his partner Nina otherwise called MiNa who were put up by seven pairs this week.

This was followed by Lolu and Anto (LoTo) with four nominations; Vandora and Dee-One with two nominations; Banbam and Teddy A (BamTeddy) and Angel and Ifue Ennada (AngelIfu) with one nomination each, while Rico and Ahneeka (RiNeeka) and Princess and Bitto (PriTo) got no nominations by the other housemates.

  • BBNaija: Savagery, clapbacks define the course

BBNaija: Savagery, clapbacks define the course

As reality show, Big Brother Naija continues to gather storm, housemates are becoming more comfortable showing their ‘Nigerianess’. The 18th day in the competition witnessed more clap backs than the rest days put together.

For instance, not being able put together a 56 second puzzle piece in a space of 10 minutes must have split their egos so much that any wrong buttons pressed would have caused an explosion. After being called arrogant by Biggie, Ahneeka was already a pot put to the boil but when Teddy A told her not to be silly, she exploded and threw shade. She even went as far as advising Teddy A to acquire a pair of steel ones.

For his part, K.Brule was no longer about to take Khloe’s offences lying down. He clapped back extra hard when Khloe tried him; letting her know that he was sick of her bullying and told her to get her own food because he’s not her father. On the brighter side, K.Brule’s revolt landed him cuddles and sweet compliments.

Nina is known to be surrounded by a group of people that consider themselves superior. Even during the diary sessions, the other Housemates shamelessly declare her a weak link and constantly throw jabs at her inability to fully express herself in spoken word. The fact that she’s always tucked away nicely on Miracle’s lap hasn’t help much. But when Ifu Ennada threw direct jabs and called her names, Nina had none of it. She returned the offences and stood her ground. Though Miracle had to take it a step further and straighten Ifu Ennada out, Nina sure clapped back and gained a little respect from the others.

Rico Swavey however pulled the biggest clap back thus far; one that wasn’t entirely directed at individual but at the group as a whole. While they planned their meals, Rico Swavey let it  rain and pointed out just how disgusted he was with all the waste and how he loathed finding half consumed plates of food that would eventually be thrown out. Many of the Housemates did agree with him but this certainly did hit home.

BBNaija: Alex is plus one today

Big Brother Housemate, Alex has added a new age today.
Her giddiness happened to coincide with her argument with Leo, when he explained in very clear terms that he wanted no more “strings” between them.
She wanted to sleep in his bed and enjoy some coziness but Leo preferred to have nothing of the sort.
He sent her out and when she refused to leave; he changed position, replacing where he would normally keep his head with his feet.
“I have told you times without number that I don’t want more than this little thing we have,” Leo was quoted, in his discussion with Alex.
He tried to reason with her that their pairing was just a game and nothing more with no extra strings attached.
Only to find out moments later that housemates were counting down to her birthday. Hence their now recently found midnight insomnia.
Tobi led the birthday chorus as housemates sang for a very emotional Alex who kept crying all through the joyous moment.
This was after lights out and Alex was given hugs in turn by housemates who happily wished her a lovely year ahead.
  • BBNaija: Of partners in chain and strange bedfellows

BBNaija: Of partners in chain and strange bedfellows

There was a little stir in the Big Brother Naija house when, after noticing that the housemates were becoming too comfortable with their strategic partners, Biggie decided to reallocate each man to another woman just for 24 hours. This came with a system whereby the new pairs were chained together, thereby eliciting new friendship, albeit unpleasant to some. But the style has yielded result, as new bondings have been formed while more revelations about housemates’ dispositions to one another have been shared.

Particularly interesting was separating Tobi from Cee-C, and one could tell she was not comfortable seeing him chained to Bambam. As much as Lolu, her partner in chain tried to engage her, she was all starring in the direction of Tobi and Bambam.

It appears that despite their pleasant chat all evening, even Tobi found Bambam a kind of strange bed fellow, as he was seen tossing and turning in bed. And for Cee-C who had never declared his true feeling for Tobi, she admitted liking him, just as she told Lolu of how much she misses her boyfriend outside the house.

While Tolu could be said to be a bit lost without Anto, his strategic partner, Bambam and Teddy A seemed unperturbed by the temporary change despite being fond of each other. Teddy A seemed cool with Alex just as Bambam was with Tobi.

Within the short time, Cee-C has extended her controversy to Lolu, hitting his genital area with the leash used in binding them. It all started when Khloe, the Head of House called the housemates for a meeting, Lolu asked Cee C to wait for him to wash his plate, but she refused and he had to follopw her. After the meeting, he wanted to go and continue with the washing, but she declined again, saying that she wanted to sit down. She started pulling the elastic belt until it disengaged, hitting Lolu around the nether regions.

Fans of the show have been calling for the disqualification of Cee-C for her action.

They reason that she has been so rude and uncooperative in her dealings. The 24-hour pairing only brought out the ‘devil’ in Cee-C with whom Lolu had not been so acquainted. A disagreement ensued between them earlier when, during breakfast, Cee C wanted to get her belt while Lolu was eating. He asked her to wait for him finish eating, but Cee-C got angry and shouted at him, saying she wanted to go get her belt. Lolu asked her to apologize for shouting at him but she rebuffed him. She later said, ”I am sorry, but I’m not wrong,” but Lolu refused to accept the apology until agree that she was wrong.

She then unhooked herself to get the belt and returned to hook herself back to Lolu.

BBNaija: You are selfish, Tobi tells Cee-C

Tobi Bakare, former Head of House has finally seen through Cee-C charades and openly called her selfish.

He also alluded her to be controlling following an overreaction to a massage Tobi received earlier on.

She cannot continue to bear the idea of Tobi being involved with other housemates as they began to argue late last night.

Tobi who was unapologetic admitted Cee-C was selfish by trying to trap him to herself.

An impatient Cee-C who could not believe her ears, had to accept Tobi’s decisions.

“If this is who you are, it is okay. This who I am. You can’t afford to be doing these things. There is a difference between unnecessary conversations and flirting.” she said.

“I get where you are coming from. This is how you feel which is always being selfish.

“There is a general perspective, there is how things are and there is how you are taking things,” Tobi countered.

Cee- C who was appalled by Tobi’s reaction had to acknowledge and say “It is Okay.”

Aheenka came to the rescue, giving Tobi a cue to leave immediately.
