BBNaija: Who took Gifty’s bracelet?

Day 26 in the Big Brother Naija house and Big Brother has set the housemates up by choosing a few housemates to play pranks on the other few.

The Housemates had spent the early morning lying around the garden and reminiscing about the previous night’s Task Presentation when they were prompted by the sound of music, which meant the start of the daily exercise.

When Gifty asked the Housemates if they had seen her bracelet, TBoss seemed most offended, as the two have been close friends since they entered the House. Debie-Rise admitted knowing the prank master, revealing it was Kemen.

However, Gifty did not seem convinced, as she continued her tirade, accusing everyone in the House. She even went to the extent of suggesting that breakfast is stopped until her missing items were found.

A few suggestions on where Gifty could start looking were thrown around. ThinTallTony suggested she looked outside since several props, clothes and accessories were left outside last night after the Task Presentation. “I checked. It’s not there!” yelled Gifty.

The Housemates spent the rest of the morning wondering who is responsible for the missing items while preparing breakfast and chatting. Let’s see if Gifty’s missing items turn up.

BBNaija: Gifty, Marvis, TTT know fate this Sunday

•As new HoH saves TBoss

Gifty is going through the same anxiety she faced last week, having been put up again for possible eviction this Sunday.

She was nominated on Monday alongside TBoss and ThinTallTony. However, TBoss who had gone through the heat before, albeit a fake eviction, was saved by new Head of House, Ese, who replaced her with Marvis. It will be Marvis’ second time on the eviction hot seat too.

Predictions for this week’s nominations were a bit sketchy at first but as the housemates made their way one after the other to the Diary Room to nominate two housemates each for possible eviction, it became clear who would be making the cut.

As it was during the last nomination show, Bally was called in first by big brother to make his selection. He once again delayed the use of his advantage card and nominated Bisola and TTT. For the rest housemates, Efe nominated Tboss and Gifty; Gifty nominated Kemen and Bassey; TTT nominated Tboss and Gifty; Bassey nominated Efe and TTT; Bisola nominated Tboss and Gifty; Kemen nominated Debie-rise and Gifty; Debie-rise nominated TTT and Marvis; TBoss nominated Marvis and Uriel; Uriel nominated Tboss and Debie-rise while Marvis breaks Bally’s clean slate by nominating him and Uriel for possible eviction.

Although Gifty, TBoss and TTT had the highest number of nomination nods, as it is the norm, Biggie called on new Head of House and fake housemate, Ese, to save one of the housemates and replace with another. In a defining moment, Ese opted to save TBoss and replaced her with Marvis.

With the results from the nomination session officially announced by Biggie, social media micro-blogging site Twitter has been buzzing with viewers campaigning for their favorite housemates.

The countdown to the next eviction show has officially begun! Voting for the third eviction show started on Monday, February 13 at 21h00 WAT and will close on Saturday, February 18 at 20h00 WAT. Viewers in Nigeria are expected to text the word “Vote” followed by their preferred housemate’s name to 32052. While for the rest of Africa, they are to follow the AfricaMagictv official account on WeChat and click on the menu option ‘BBNaija’ and select their preferred housemate. Viewers are encouraged to vote for the housemate they want to remain in the house.

The show is aired 24/7 in 45 countries from Nigeria through East, West and Southern Africa on all DStv packages on channel 198 and GOtv channel 29.

BBNaija eviction: Gifty, TBoss, ThinTallTony nominated

Housemates at the ongoing Big Brother TV reality show on Monday nominated fellow housemates for possible eviction.

During the process, Gifty, TBoss and Thin tall Tony were nominated. However, the Head of House replaced TBoss with Marvis, when called by Big Brother to save an housemate.

Meanwhile, the housemate with the highest nomination is Gifty.

BBNaija: Very generous Big Brother

Arena, cleaned. Entire House, cleaned. And with nothing else on their minds except rest and food, the Housemates gathered around the dining table playing a game of cards while they waited for Uriel’s cooking.

Big Brother called Captain Efe into the Diary room and a new brief was issued.

Biggie’s unhappiness with the attitudes of the Housemates was very evident in the Brief. The Housemates have gotten very complacent in their everyday lives, and their unsanctioned alliances seemed to be their number one distraction from the main objective and the Task today was meant to help them refocus their eyes on the prize.

Biggie also warned that so many House rules had been broken, so the Housemates needed to pull their socks up and stop making demands like little children. Biggie also demanded they be more prudent and cautious in their daily use of water and food stuff as no wastage of food or anything else was allowed or permitted in the Big Brother House.

The icing on the cake was when Biggie informed the Housemates that they have not only lost their weekly wager, but they have also lost their weekly Payporte wardrobe shopping benefits too.

BBNaija: Miyonse gets ‘overwhelming’ welcome at UNILAG

One of the evicted Housemates at the ongoing Big Brother Naija reality TV show, Miyonse Amosu, was given a rousing reception at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

The housemate, who did not last more than two weeks at the reality show holding in South Africa, has succeeded in winning the hearts of many Nigerians, especially women as evidenced in the video below:

Multichoice profiles DJ Scratchmaster for tomorrow’s BBNaija party

•As Falz helms Sunday’s live eviction show

The one-hour Saturday party for the BBNaija housemates is one of the highlights of the show, and one that fans look forward to. Tomorrow, the remaining 12 housemates will dance to celebrate the exit of one or two of the five housemates that have been put up for possible eviction on Sunday. They include Bassey, Bisola, Gifty, Debbie-Rise and CocoIce.

Despite the looming eviction, the party usually puts the housemates in high spirit, with so much to drink, while they dance to a collection of club bangers.

Organisers of the show presents, for tomorrow’s party, Keron Hector, aka DJ Scratch Master, from Trinidad on the wheel of steel.

A producer and sound technician who’s been making waves since he was a teenager back in 1990. Throughout his career he’s also earned quite a reputation for his cool, calm and collected demeanor which is in stark contrast to his electric sets and soul stirring remixes known far and wide.

For the biggest moment of the week, being Sunday evening’s eviction, the man to look forward to is Falz The Bahd Guy.

It is not clear if his singing partner, Simi, will accompany him on the show, but Falz will, as usual, bring to the live show, his comic rap songs to the delight of studio audience and viewers across 54 African countries.

Going by some of the remarkable moments in the Big Brother Naija house after the exit of Soma and Miyonse, Kemen poured his heart out to Marvis telling her that he felt that Uriel really liked him but was afraid of falling in love with him. Marvis kept trying to get him to open up more by playing devil’s advocate. Little did he know that Uriel had told Biggie earlier that Kemen would be the last person on earth she would think of dating and that she would rather remain single. Thus, he might not be getting any Valentine’s Day gifts from Uriel.

ThinTallTony was also in a heart to heart with Bisola about his childhood and his mother while Gifty got under the covers and answered Bally’s questions. Bally wanted to know if she had ever been unfaithful and she said “Only once.” She then went on to say that she didn’t like “weak men,” “You’re telling me no, I say yes” meaning that she wanted a man to fight for her.

Will Uriel put Kemen out of his misery? Is Bally interested in Gifty or why would he ask her such leading questions? Indeed there are so many questions begging for answers. Tomorrow’s eviction will lighten up some of the grey areas.

Falz to perform at BBNaija live eviction on Sunday

Rapper, actor and songwriter Falz “TheBahdGuy” will set the BB Naija stage on fire during the Live Eviction Show this Sunday at 7PM.

Born Folarin Falana, Falz began his music career during his secondary school days, when he and a couple of friends formed a group called “The School Boys” but it was only in 2009 when his professional music career began; one can only expect a thrilling performance and BB Naija viewers are privileged to watch him perform two months ahead of his USA tour, which begins in April.

BBNaija: Uriel begs to remain in the house

Uriel Oputa, who has escaped nomination for the second time in a row, pleaded with Big brother in her diary session on Thursday to be allowed to remain in the house.

The house mate, who expressed her fear for nominations, pleaded to be given an advantage card, which would prevent her from being evicted.

“I am afraid for next week, I might get nominated. Please give me an advantage card, I don’t want to go home.’’

When asked who she would miss the most among the contestants up for eviction, she confessed that she would miss Debbie, Rise and Bassey.

She expressed her thoughts on fellow house mates, Bally and Bassey, saying that she could not say much on Bally but she liked Bassey because of his body build.

With one eviction, Sunday has gone and another approaching, the game gets tougher, as house mates compete for N25m and a Kia Sorento. (NAN)
