    Cubana Chief Priest fires back at Tonto Dikeh over paternity dispute

    Socialite Cubana Chief Priest has responded to actress Tonto Dikeh’s remarks on a controversial paternity case. 

    Reacting to Dikeh’s post questioning why men evade paternity tests, Chief Priest alleged that her comments were aimed at him and his alleged baby mama in Kenya.

    He accused the actress of backing the woman’s claims against him, suggesting she was acting out of spite. 

    According to him, Dikeh’s motivation stems from resentment after he refused to grant her a favor in the past.

    He also hinted at her involvement with gossip blog Gistlover, referencing previous allegations made against him by the platform.

    He wrote: “Remember this accusation came first from gistlover and she donated 1 million to her and asked Nigerians to donate too.

    “Make it make sense with the gistlover allegations. I have always known it was sponsored, the same way they tried to rope me into thinking that my show was Mohbad’s last show and that I’m a suspect.

    “My only crime was you asking me for favors, and I declined. You go chase me and enter the gutter. My marriage is built on a solid rock. It can never be like yours, blackmailer T, Ceo Gistlover Nigeria Limited.”

    However, Dikeh denied that her initial post was aimed at Cubana and stated that she has no interest in his personal life.

    She also criticised the Chief Priest for fathering a child in Kenya and allegedly avoiding responsibility.

    “I have no interest in your family dynamics, whether they stand on solid ground or not. But let’s not forget that on that same ‘solid rock,” you fathered a child you’re now running from in Kenya,” the post reads in part.

    Speaking during an interview on Channels TV’s Rubbin’ Minds, he explained that mistakes made on his initial visa application have continued to create obstacles in the process.

    According to him, the application form was filled out by someone else when he was younger, resulting in errors that persist in the US immigration system and resurface during visa interviews.

    The popular nightlife mogul expressed his longing to visit the United States, often referred to as “Yankee,” and experience life there.

    He remains hopeful that the issues will be resolved soon, allowing him to travel to the US.

Some mistakes were coming up during interviews. And I think they have it on their system. Anytime I came it kept popping up.

    “David tells me about America and the lifestyle. It is something I want to experience. I hope very soon I am going to get access to get into Yankee”, he said.

    Celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest has reacted to the online drama surrounding his alleged Kenyan baby mama.

    Cubana reaffirmed that he is not the father of the child, stating that he can never abandon any of his children.

    He emphasised that children are gifts from God and he can discharge his responsibilities as a father. 

    He questioned how anyone could expect him to abandon a child who could potentially become a great person in the future.

    Cubana also claimed that the alleged baby mama came forward because she was attracted to his wealth and fame, stating that she was “caught up in the 30k cruise” and was using the situation to gain attention and financial benefits.

    He wrote on his Instagram story: “God forbid that I have a child and abandon my child. You born for big man na dragging you wan use am drag the big man.     Naira abuse: Cubana Chief Priest to pay N10m as settlement

    The  Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos yesterday struck out the suit against celebrity bartender, Pascal Okechukwu (Cubana Chief Priest), over alleged abuse of the Naira.

    But, he is to pay N10million, which is the condition of the settlement.

    Justice Kehinde Ogundare struck out the charge following the adoption of terms of settlement between parties.

    The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arraigned Okechukwu on April 17, on a three-count charge of allegedly spraying and tampering with the naira notes during a social event at the Eko hotel in Lagos.

    He had pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail for N10 million.

    At the last adjourned date on May 2, defence counsel, Mr Chikaosolu Ojukwu (SAN), had informed the court that parties were exploring settlement and had applied that the matter be settled pursuant to the provisions of section 14(2) of the EFCC Act.

    Following the position, the defence counsel had applied for a withdrawal of a preliminary objection filed by defence, and since there was no objection from the prosecution, the court granted the same.

    The court had then consequently adjourned the case until June 5, for a report of settlement.

    On June 5, the case could not go on following the absence of the defence counsel who had reportedly written to the court praying for an adjournment.

    The court had then adjourned the case until June 25 (today) for a report of settlement.

    At the resumption of proceedings yesterday, Mrs Bilikisu Buhari appeared for the prosecution while Mr Chikaosolu Ojukwu (SAN) appeared for the defence.

    Bilikisu informed the court that the prosecution had filed the terms of settlement dated June 24 and adopted the same.

    In response, the defence counsel said he agreed with what the prosecutor said and equally adopted the same.

    He thanked the court for its indulgence, adding that part of the obligations contained in the said terms had been performed.

    He urged the court to make the consequential orders of dismissing the case.

    In a short ruling, the court held: “Upon the agreement of the prosecution and defence pursuant to the EFCC Establishment Act, the agreement having been presented to the court, this charge is hereby struck out as the defendant is hereby cautioned.”

    Meanwhile, a copy of the terms of settlement, which was obtained by reporters in court, provided as follows:

    “The agreement applies only to the findings relating to contravention of the law contained in the pending charge preferred against the defendant.

    “The defendant shall enter into a bond with the EFCC to be of good behaviour and never indulge in any Economic and Financial Crime or related offences.

    “The Defendant shall engage in rigorous and intensive sensitization and/or campaign against the abuse of coins and notes issued under the CBN Act as legal tender.

    “The defendant shall bi-monthly post on his various social media handles a minimum of two video clips of his sensitization/campaign against abuse of naira and sundry offences.

    “The Defendant shall pay to the consolidated revenue fund of the Federation such sum not below N10 million only upon the execution of this agreement.”

    In the charge, the defendant was said to have tampered with the funds in the denomination of N500, while dancing at the social event in Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island.

    The offence contravenes the provisions of section 21(1) of the Central Bank Act of 2007.
