    Grammy-nominated singer, Davido, has celebrated his record label signee, Daniella Daniel, popularly known as Morravey as she clocks 20-year-old. 

    The Nation reported that the singer got signed into the DMW record label in 2023.

    Davido quoted her tweet wishing herself the best year ahead alongside pictures of her stunning self. 

    Captioning the post, she wrote: “Cheers to the best year yet. Happy birthday Morravey.”

    Singer Davido, reacting to the post, reposted and celebrated with her.

    He wrote: “Happy birthday my superstar !!”

    Yoruba, Igbo, Benin only tribes in Nigeria – Davido

    Grammy-nominated singer David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has claimed that Nigeria has only three tribes, namely Yoruba, Igbo and Benin.

    Davido made the blunder while hosting popular American content creator Kai Cenat, who is in Lagos, Nigeria for a documentary.

    Davido said: “We have three tribes in Nigeria. There’s Yoruba. My father is Yoruba. And in Nigeria, wherever your father is from, that’s where you are really from. So my father is Yoruba. My wife is from Igbo. And my mother is from Benin. I’m three tribes in one.”

    Contrary to the Timeless singer’s claim, the National Bureau of Statistics revealed that there are 371 tribes in Nigeria, the majority of which are Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba.

    Popular artists, Davido, Tems, and Lojay secured awards at the 2024 NAACP Image Awards, held virtually at naacpimageawards.net on Monday, March 11.

    Temilade Openiyi, otherwise known by her stage name, Tems received the outstanding international song for her “Me & U”.

    Davido and Lojay got on the awardee’s list for being featured on Chris Brown’s ‘Sensational’ which won the Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration (contemporary) award.

    Chris Brown and Victoria Monet were the biggest winners at the 55th Image Awards with two awards each.

    While Brown won Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration (contemporary) for his hit ‘Sensational’, featuring Davido and Lojay, and Outstanding Duo, group or Collaboration (traditional) for his featured role on Ciara’s ‘How We Roll’.

    Money won the Outstanding Album and Outstanding New Artist, both for ‘Jaguar II’.

    Davido described her as the best chef of all time.

    He bragged about his wife being the best chef while hosting popular American content creator, Kai Cenat, who is in Nigeria for a documentary, yesterday in Lagos.

    He regretted that Chef Chi was not in the country to treat the American content guru to her gastronomic adventure.

    Singer Daniel Benson popularly known as BNXN, has unreservedly apologised for ‘disrespecting’ Davido after his colleague, Dremo called him out. 

    The Nation reported that BNXN threw a jab at Davido while bantering with a fan of the DMW boss on X.

    Seemingly angered by the shade, Davido deleted a tweet where he teased a collaboration with BNXN.

    Despite Davido’s reaction, BNXN vowed that he would still release the song without his approval, stressing that he wrote “everything”, while also claiming that fans blew his tweet “out of proportion.”

    However, he apologised shortly after the DMW signee, Dremo scolded him for “disrespecting” his boss.

    Dremo tweeted, “@BNXN that tweet was mad disrespectful bro, you can’t be tweeting like you don’t know fans will blow shit out of proportion cos you clearly knew what you…”

    Quoting his tweet, BNXN wrote: “No yawa. I’m sorry.”

    I wrote Davido’s ‘Unavailable’ – Logos Olori claims

    Davido‘s signee, Logos Olori has claimed that he wrote his boss’ hit song ‘Unavailable’ featuring Musa Keys. 

    He said he was the originator of the song, while his colleague, Peruzzi, wrote the verse.

    The singer disclosed this in a recent interview with Cool FM in Lagos.

    Logo Olori said: “‘Unavailable’ was nominated for the Grammys. We did that song somewhere in Ajah: myself, Magicsticks, and Ragee. And Rihanna said that was her best song of 2023.

    “I wrote the song. Peruzzi wrote the verse. After we made the song, Davido said he wanted the verse to be changed, so he called Peruzzi to do the verse. But I actually came up with the idea of the song. We did a bit of tweaking; that’s where Musa Keys and Peruzzi came in.”
