Mohbad: It’s evil to ask grieving widow to submit son for DNA test – Mary Njoku

Actress Mary Njoku has said is it sheer evil to demand of a grieving woman the submission of her son for a DNA test.

Amid the widespread #JusticeForMohad movement on social media and in the streets, there’s been a recent call for a paternity test on the late singer’s five-month-old son, Liam.

The proponents of this notion claim it would aid in a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Promise Ilerioluwa Aloba’s death.

However, Njoku strongly opposed the idea of a DNA test on Mohbad’s son, especially at this time as she urged advocates to let the grieving widow mourn in peace.

The film producer emphasizes that with the sudden loss of her partner, the young mother is already burdened with sorrow and implores those calling for a DNA test not to worsen her situation.

She wrote: “Asking a mourning widow to submit her son for a DNA test is pure evil. Haba! She just lost a husband, lost a father to her child, lost her helper and protector of 10 years! Let her mourn in peace.

“If you can’t support her, don’t add to her misery! Small money don enter for DNA tests. Just because she isn’t rich, if her husband didn’t doubt the paternity, who are we to think otherwise?

“Abeg make una no let the dead para for una o. Don’t frustrate his family. Let’s focus on getting justice for Mohbad.”

“We also learnt that the alleged are no more in the country as we watched Sam Larry threatened Iyabo Ojo.”

“Should the police now wait till they kill Iyabo Ojo who is fighting for justice for Mohbad? “We want the government to constitute a neutral panel to investigate any officers involved as we reject the excuse of the Lagos police relying on Sam Larry’s counter petition to stop mohbad’s threat to life petition which made him die later.”

“We also recommend them for punishment for failing in their constitutional duties as this will prevent a reoccurrence of this in the future.”

Aproko Doctor explains blood stain on Mohbad’s burial site

Famous Internet celebrity Doctor, Chinonso Egemba aka Aproko doctor has attempted to clear the confusion of many as to why fresh blood was sighted at the gravesite of late singer, MohBad after his body was exhumed.

The Nation reported on Wednesday that police authorities, with the aid of health examiners, recovered his corpse to carry out an autopsy to ascertain the cause of his death.

Eyewitnesses at the gravesite reported seeing fresh blood and this has caused a stir online.

Using his medical expertise, doctor Chinonso Egemba gave an explanation for the development.

He wrote: “Your blood has a red colour because of a compound called haemoglobin. That’s what carries oxygen through your body.

“When blood is exposed to air, the cells that carry these haemoglobin die, and the haemoglobin becomes exposed to air abs starts to change colour to a darker one.

“This dark colour is because the haemoglobin is being changed to another compound called methemoglobin.

“Normally, when people die, they die with all the blood in their system but it doesn’t move because circulation has stopped, but it’s still there. Let’s not forget.

“Now, during embalming, this blood is usually replaced with another fluid. The question is, “Was he embalmed?”

“Even at that, you can’t get all the blood out! Some will still be left.

“We all want to know why it’s still red, right? There is one possible reason, in a closed compartment, there is very little air underground, so it’s possible that the haemoglobin is not exposed enough to change colour to the darker one.

“As to why it’s that much, we don’t have access to the body so we don’t know what other injuries we’re inflicted on his body, we remember his neck was in an unnatural position to fit in the coffin, it is possible that must have broken his vessels to cause some blood still in the system to leak out.

“All we can do is speculate. We will not be more knowledgeable than people with the body physically and examining it.”
