    The Police Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi has shared an update on MohBad‘s death via his X handle.

    In the wee hours of Tuesday, Adejobi announced that thorough inquiry has already commenced into the circumstances surrounding the late singer’s death.

    He underscored the things necessarily expected of people during investigations as well as approaches to be adhered to in order to achieve a satisfactory result.

    The police spokesperson further urged all and sundry to maintain an unbiased mind while the authority work towards achieving justice for late Mohbad.

    He wrote: “MOHBAD: Let’s open our minds and widen the scope of investigation to unravel the case.

    “Many would, by now, agree with me or concur with my assertion that we need a thorough investigation to expose some hidden facts.

    “We will torchlight many areas and interrogate as many as possible to get to the root of the matter and have justice done.

    “In investigation, you dont have a mindset or stereotyped methodology, but be flexible, open-minded, and adopt multi facetted approaches for a good result.

    “The investigation is ongoing. let’s wait and see how it goes.”

    His post was after the Lagos State Police Command on Monday inaugurated a 13-man probe panel to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba.

    Lagos police commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa, said the probe was necessary to get justice for the singer’s family and his fans.

    Management announces MohBad’s candlelight procession, tribute

    The management of Promise Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad has announced a candlelight procession and tribute in honour of the late singer.

    The announcement was made on Mohbad’s X handle on Monday, few minutes before midnight.

    A flyer was shared with the details of the event which is expected to hold on Thursday, September 21 at 5pm.

    The candlelight procession is expected to commence from Lekki Phase 1 Gate and terminate at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, Lagos.

    The tribute concert will kick off 8pm prompt at Muri Okunola Park.

    Dress code for the candlelight procession and tribute concert is white T-shirt.

    And according to the management, the “event is not sponsored by any company or individual.”

    The musical act died on Tuesday, September 12, at 27 with several controversies surrounding his demise.

    Lagos State Police Command yesterday set up a 13-seasoned homicide and detective special investigation team to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

    Commissioner of Police Idowu Owohunwa made this known while briefing reporters on the agenda of the investigation at the command’s headquarters in Ikeja.

    The team also includes three legal and three forensic teams.

    Owohunwa, condoling with the late singer’s family, said the probe was necessary to get justice for the singer’s family and his fans.

    #JusticeforMohbad: Iyabo Ojo plans mega rally in Lagos

    Popular actress Iyabo Ojo in an Instagram Live session on Monday, September 18, announced a rally in Lagos State to demand justice for the late singer, Mohbad.

    Ojo, who has been vocal about the issue of Mohbad’s demise, specified that her NGO and foundation would be sending out letters to ‘respectable’ offices including the governor’s and international bodies to reiterate the need for justice on behalf of the deceased.

    She enjoined entertainers to participate in the peaceful walk expected to take place on Tuesday or Wednesday.

    The mother of two stated: “Governor Sanwo Olu. I want you to use your good office sir. We need you to see to it that all these investigations are carried out.

    “We don’t want an audio investigation. We failed when he was alive. This one he had to pay the ultimate price. We parents are bringing the revolution to reality. The autopsy must be done. When I met him, he was so disturbed. He was so paranoid.

    “My lawyer will write to you. My foundation will write to you one after the other. My foundation will send out a letter. We are sending the letter on Monday to all the respectable offices. And we are sending it to international bodies.

    “We are coming to your office on Tuesday or Wednesday. So that you can understand that we need justice. We are going to do a peaceful rally.”

    Record producer, Solomon Oyeniyi aka K-Solo has made audacious remarks about Naira Marley’s involvement in his former signee, Mohbad’s death.

    He accused the Marlian Music boss of ‘having a hand’ in the controversial demise of Mohbad on Tuesday, September 12 at age 27.

    The veteran beat maker who recently featured on Channels TV’s programme, ‘Rubbin’ Minds’ advised Naira Marley to turn himself in to the authorities and clear his name if indeed he were innocent of the allegations being levelled against him.

    He stated: “Naira Marley is involved in Mohbad’s death. He cannot tell me he is not involved. He has a hand in his death.

    “Somebody can’t be under your label and he is being bullied every day and you never came out to say anything. And you said you don’t know anything about it.

    “You’re putting up a statement? Everybody can put up a statement. Naira Marley has an involvement in. He can’t tell me no.

    “If I were Naira Marley, he should turn up himself. Come into this country, come and defend yourself. Put yourself out.

    “Sam Larry does not have anything to say. That one can be on the run forever because you can see his own evidence over your face. There are pictures. He cannot say that they are doctored.

    “So, Naira Marley can never tell me he is not part of this. Anybody that is in his team that is still fooling him or telling him lies, they should better stop right now. He needs to come out and defend himself.

    “I’m not going to say because it is still being alleged, it’s not what you can say yet. Yes, I can say it is being alleged. But you know what? I can say it to his face; he knows about this.

    “Let him come out and wash himself clean and say, ‘I, Naira Marley, I’m not involved in this.’ Then let the police do their due diligence like the English they used.”

    MohBad: SDP warns aggrieved fans against violence

    Following the death of a Nigerian blooming artiste, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba aka MohBad, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) on Monday, September 18, cautioned fans of the deceased against fronting violent attacks.

    Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Zonal Secretary of South-West, Femi Olaniyi had in Lagos revealed that the party paid a condolence visit to the bereaved family.     

    The Nation on September 12, 2023, reported the sudden death of the 27-year-old singer.

    He said: “We condole with friends and families of Mohbad and use this medium to advise all the parties concerned to be patient and shun violence.

    “Let all the aggrieved wait for the outcome of the investigation ongoing by the security.

    “Nobody should take law into his or her hand under any guise no matter how hurt it is, issues surrounding the death of the singer.”

    Olaniyi while advising legal authorities, bemoaned the death of MohBad in that regard and urged the Nigeria Police to ensure justice is served and perpetrators be brought to book.

    Olaniyi said: “We want the police to display professionalism in their dealings and investigation, and do us proud in all the operations to unravel issues around the death of Mohbad.

    “We want the police to do a good job that will make Nigerians, especially aggrieved associates of the singers to have confidence in the police again.

    “Justice must be done diligently without any form of interest from the rebellion.”

    Recall that the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Mr Idowu Owohunwa, has constituted a special team to unravel the cause of Mohbad’s death.

    Popular actor, Yul Edochie, has expressed frustration with the online community clamouring justice for the late singer, MohBad while they mourn his ‘controversial’ passing.

    The singer claimed a good amount of them have been bullying, insulting and attempted to kill him with their vile words constantly directed at him for over a year.

    He accused social media users of being bias and clout-chasers, arguing they’re the same with those that maltreated Mohbad during his life time which led to his eventual death.

    He accused netizens of only being interested in mourning the dead and ‘playing’ to seek justice simply to gain traffic on their pages and also grow them.

    Yul lamented how he’s been subjected to name-calling, lied on, bullied and spreading of false narratives against him just because he made a decision in his family which they knew absolutely nothing about the circumstances that warranted it.

    Besides dubbing Mohbad’s justice seekers his perpetual tormentors, witches, wizards and walking demons, the film star added they would never be able to kill him as ‘God made his head strong’.

    In a lengthy post via his Instagram handle, the thespian stated; “All of una wey dey post justice for Mohbad, plus the Nollywood people wey join dey shout am, you’re not different from the people that were maltreating Mohbad. 

    “You’re all demons and wicked people, simply chasing clout. You’re all the same people who have been insulting me for over one year, bullying me on the internet, trying so hard to kill me for matter wey no concern una. Simply bcos I took a personal decision for my life that is not your business. 

    “How many of you fought for Mohbad when he was alive? Now that he’s dead, you are using him to draw traffic to your page. Useless people. 

    “For over one year, bloggers have been telling all sorts of lies against me. Everybody turn to blogger for my case. Spreading fake stories about me on Facebook just to make money. Telling lies just to destroy my name. 

    “On top matter wey una know nothing about. Just bcos men don’t talk. None of you know what I see in my home. That inspired my decision. Idiots.

    “What they did to Mohbad is what they have been doing to me on the internet for over one year. How many Nollywood people have come out to say enough? You’re all waiting for me to die so you can post my picture and write your nonsense, ‘justice for …” Na thunder go fire una.

    “I lost my son. In the mist of unbearable pain, dem say na me kill my son. How many of una come out to fight tor justice?

    “Even my own Aunty has not called me on the phone for one day to ask me what happened. Instead she dey use me draw traffic for her page.”

    “The bulling, insults, curses etc I have received on the internet for over one year is enough to kill or drive to depression. But una no fit kill me. God made my head strong. 100 million of your demons no reach me. Whatever evil you wish me will follow you a thousand times. Witches and wizards.

    “My point is simple, if you never posted Mohbad when he was alive, simply shut up & let his soul

    rest. Allow the police to do their job. As you don’t know all sides of the story.

    “If you have money to spare, send to his family and console them. Stop chasing clout with his name.

    That’s what you all are good at. You fight the living and celebrate the dead. Walking demons.”
