    According to Yul, Nigerians are often their own obstacles, saying that the idea of village people being a hindrance is merely an excuse.

    He emphasised that village people are also striving to improve their own lives and don’t have time to focus on holding others back.

    Yul also stressed the importance of self-discovery and understanding one’s roots.

    He encouraged people to visit their villages, learn about their heritage, and ask questions about their lives.

    He noted that the church alone cannot solve all problems, and individuals must take proactive steps to improve their lives.

    He wrote, “Nobody hold you for village. Village people don’t even have your time.

    “They’re busy trying to make headway in their own lives. Na you hold yourself.

    “Go home, go traditional and ask questions about your life. Know who you are, where you come from and where you should be heading to. Church doesn’t solve everything.”

    He emphasised the importance of returning to traditional ways, highlighting their purity and power.

    Edochie urged people to reconnect with their ancestral practices, stressing that doing so is crucial for restoring balance and harmony.

    Edochie wrote: “Too many premature deaths these days. Young people dying in their twenties, thirties, and forties. It is not normal.

    “It is happening because we have abandoned our traditional ways and embraced the ways of the Oyinbo people. The spirits that protect many of us and our lands are angry because they have been relegated. We must go back to our traditional ways, which are very pure and powerful.”

    The actor expressed his deep longing for his son, appealing to him to continue watching over his family. 

    Yul Edochie’s message reads: “Happy 18th birthday, son, Kambi Yul-Edochie. Hope you’re doing well over there, flying with the angels and playing basketball and football. I miss you so much. Keep watching over your family. Till we meet again. Forever in my heart, Love you, son.”

    Kambilichukwu died in 2023 at 16, after reportedly slumping and being rushed to the hospital.

    “Never make your fellow African feel inferior for being African. If we’re not proud of who we are as Africans & where we come from, we’ll never know where we’re headed,” he said.

    He warned Nigerians never to say there’s no power in the name, emphasising that doing so marks the beginning of downfall.

    Edochie acknowledged potential flaws in Christianity, noting that some parts of the religion have been altered to suit men, not God. 

    However, he stressed the importance of recognising the power in Jesus’ name, citing historical precedent that those who have denied it have not fared well.

    “There is power in the name of Jesus.

    Never you say there’s no power in the name.

    “You can fault the white man’s religion.

    Yes, some parts of it have been altered to suit men and not God. But never you say there’s no power in the name JESUS.

    “It always marks the beginning of downfall. Read history, people who have said such in the past never ended well”, he wrote.
