Fast-rising musician Spyro has disagreed with the hot take that he is a ‘new cat’ in the entertainment industry. 

Taking to his official Instagram account, the young crooner blows hard about how he has been in the Nigerian music industry way before many people’s favourite artists. 

According to Spyro, his story is one of grace and determination.

He further went ahead to share videos of works and collaborations he had done with other top musicians in the past before his big break.

The ‘Who Is Your Guy’ crooner explained that he used to be known as Freeze and his plan in 2010 was to take over from late popular rapper, DaGrin. 

He also shared a video of himself rapping after Tiwa Savage in an Ovation Red Carol song. 

Spyro said that from Freeze, he changed his name to Spyrophreeze and he recorded his first collaboration with the late Sound Sultan in 2014. “Recorded my first collaboration 2014 with the late sound sultan and been grinding since then till GOD picked my call this year … 

”So when you see me put GOD on my head just know to say e get why …my eyes have seen it all but he MADE A WAY just when I was about to give it all UP,” he said in parts.

Nollywood actress Mosun Filani is filled with gratitude as she marks her birthday today. 

The movie star, took to her Instagram page to share new glamorous photos of herself. Mosun expressed gratitude to His for the gift of life.

She appreciated God for another beautiful year, for all the plenty and little things she has, and more.

Big Brother Africa runner-up and actor, Tayo Faniran has classified conditions that a movie script and producer must fulfill for him to accept an acting role.

In a recent interview with Hip TV, the reality star said there are certain things he looks out for in a movie script.

Faniran said his role in a movie is the most important factor he looks out for.

He said: “First thing I look out for when I’m giving a script is my positioning in the story. I think I’m a leading man.

“I have all it takes to be a lead actor. And apart from that, I just love to be the best in what I do. I’m looking for a character that is going to showcase my potential. And in most cases, it’s always the lead character or the supporting lead character.

“The second thing I look out for is that I don’t want to be stereotyped. I don’t like maybe every script that comes, playboy or lover boy, or bad guy or something like that. I like to look for diversity; something that will give me the leverage to show my flexibility.

“And then I look out for the people producing the film as well. The class of the film. Is it going to go out? Are people going to see it? Is it going to add something to my career? Then I consider the money. Is the money worth my time? I’m a businessman, I’ve other things to do. So, I just weigh it down. Even if it’s not about the money, it should be worth my time.”

Tayo made his blockbuster debut in Amazon Prime Video’s first African original ‘Gangs Of Lagos’ which was released in April.

He played the role of Ninalowo, aka Nino, a notorious but kindhearted gang leader in Isale Eko.

Controversial social media critic Daniel Regha has alleged Tems revived the career of Grammy-award singer Wizkid.

He admits that Tems has been a positive rub-off on the celebrity ‘star boy’.

He said the ‘Crazy Tings’ crooner is an impressive stage performer when she sings Essence with Wiz but noted that she seems irrelevant without the song.

Former Presidential aide Reno Omokri has given his theory on church weddings.

The author said church wedding is not obligatory, urging people to liberate themselves from religious bondage.

Contrary to popular belief, Omokri asserted that a pastor or prophet cannot confer holiness upon a marriage.

Instead, he emphasised that the only individuals capable of bestowing such sanctity are the parents of the intending couple.

In a series of tweets, Omokri stated: “Someone said church wedding is necessary because pastors are God’s representatives on earth. To that man, my question is this: what are your parents? devil’s representative? no blessing on earth is greater than parent’s blessing. after God, parents”

While Omokri’s remarks challenge the school of thought of a church wedding’s significance, he emphasised the importance of parental blessings and their role in the marital union.

Actress Biola Adebayo has cried out in frustration over the hike in fuel prices.

The businesswoman via her Instagram lamented how the increase in fuel price is affecting business and frustrating her.

According to the thespian, she spends almost N200,000 to buy diesel and fuel to run her business in a week yet she struggles to make sales that recover the expenses.

She added all of these have made her broke and tired.

“God knows I’m tired but I receive the strength of the spirit. The Lord is my strength… To say I’m broke is an understatement but it well,” she said.

The mother of one, prayed for her fans going through tough times this season,  she wrote: “To everyone going through what I’m going through and even more. God Almighty will strengthen you and bless you. You will never labor in vain by God’s grace”.
