    Tokunbo Wahab remains fearless

It is without doubt that the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, is an audacious individual, who is determined to ensure he corrects the ills of the environment.

Following through with the plans to ensure canal and waterways are cleared, Wahab has continued to clear obstructions on canal paths across Lagos.

Despite propaganda by individuals hiding under flimsy reasons, Wahab has remained lion-hearted in discharging his duties as the commissioner for environment.

A recent public opinion on the state of Lagos’ environment gave kudos to Wahab saying if the trained silk were corrupt, his current demolition spree would have been tailored towards collecting bribes and making billions, but Wahab is not doing that. On this note, he deserves credit.

The opinion further noted one thing; the genuine and honest intention of Wahab is not in doubt as he appears to be driven by passion and commitment to hard work and duty, a rare quality in Nigeria.

This commendation clearly shows that Wahab is a great mind whose noble mission is mostly misconceived by many.

Many have seen the quality of a conscientious personality in him and his dauntless spirit has continued to endear so many Lagosians to him.

Those close to Wahab also squealed that despite dealing with an historic rot and facing a hydra-headed cum knotty problem, his confidence, calm mien, and unabashed demeanour at tough situations have continued to work in his favour.

Interestingly, his boss, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has praised Wahab’s dedication and commitment and promised to back him with the laws of the land.
