    Tokunbo Wahab’s scores another goal

Despite his gentle mien, Tokunbo Wahab has remained steely in his resolve to change the environment and water resources landscape in Lagos State. When you meet TW, as he’s fondly called, one question comes to mind, what will a man with so much pedigree as a successful lawyer with close to two decades of experience be looking for in politics, a game perceived to be dirty?

However, Wahab’s cogent reason for delving into politics is driven by his passion to serve the people and also ensure the people get the quality representation that will better lives in cognisance with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S.

With a very resounding persona laced with a meek and human nature, the former Special Adviser and now Commissioner is regarded as one of the most performing cabinet members with the giant stride recorded in his quest for perfection in the Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources in line with global standard.

  • Edward Onoja’s next line of action

Edward Onoja’s next line of action

Edward Onoja is one of the lucky men in Nigeria for his rise in politics being the Chief of Staff to Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello, before he was elevated to Deputy Governor in his second term tenure.

While as Chief of Staff, he was so powerful as he called the shots and his boss could go to sleep knowing his Chief of Staff could run the affairs of the government without a single glitch.

But when he became Deputy Governor, we gathered that his boss allegedly had to cut his influence so he would not take over the structure because he was that powerful and also put him in check.

All the stuff he was doing as chief of staff he wanted to bring to his office as Deputy Governor but his boss refused and told him to stick with his constitutional roles and that created a vacuum between them.

The matter got worse when Onoja started nursing the ambition to replace Yahaya Bello as governor. As he was consulting with the party faithful to get the ticket, a very smart Bello played his game well and Onoja seeing the handwriting on the wall had to drop out of the guber race and recoiled into his cocoon. He went low profile as he was no longer going out like he used to. He stuck only to official assignments. He also stopped engaging his followers on social media only on selected days which was unlike him before he was told to step down for Usuman Ododo’s candidacy.

Due to him keeping mute, those close to him have been asking what the next line of action for him now that he has exited the political arena. But sources say he is quietly moving into private business, and also looking to create value and stay outside of politics. He might give politics a chance again, maybe as a senator soon, but for now, he is focused on enjoying life, working privately, and spending more quality time with his family staying out of the cynosure of all eyes.
