He said his tour of Nigeria, which had brought him to Kaduna, was not just to organise crusade and pray for the people and Nigeria, “but an opportunity to gather people together to let them know that tomorrow is going to be alright if Nigerians can be a little more patient with God.”

According to him, “I am delighted to be here again. I was here about two or so years ago with the former governor. Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), on Sunday, February 11, paid a visit to Kaduna state governor, Uba Sani.

During the visit, Pastor Adeboye remarked that the challenges facing Nigeria extend beyond political issues, emphasizing that they demand spiritual solutions.

The revered spiritual leader said the political leaders appeared to have tried their humanly possible best, yet the problems persist, therefore, Nigeria needs the help of God and it needs the help urgently.

“Because, as much as our leaders are doing their very best to help us solve our problems, the problems seem to have persisted and in some areas, the problems seem to be getting worse. But we trust in Almighty God that, these problems will not last forever. We trust God that the problem will even be over sooner than later.

“That is why we have been going round holding crusades and the crusades are just a means of gathering people together to let them know tomorrow is going to be alright if we can be a little more patient with God.

“We believe very strongly that people need this kind of encouragement so that they don’t lose hope. Because when lose hope they do all kinds of strange things; many of our youths for example are running out of the country, forgetting that those countries they are running to also have their own problems and then those who cannot run anywhere, we don’t want a situation where people begin to think of taking their own lives.

“We have had quite a few examples of people driving in Lagos to the long bridge and jumping into the lagoons. Those of them that were rescued before they drowned said they couldn’t see a future, but we keep on assuring them God is on His throne and he is not going to forsake our nation,” Pastor Adeboye said.

In his response, Governor Uba Sani who took time to eulogize Pastor Adeboye, highlighting his numerous contributions to Nigeria, said that President Bola Tinubu-led government needs prayers and support of clerics like Adeboye to succeed.

Governor Sani said: “You (Pastor Adeboye) have at critical times in our country, led interventions aimed at directing the political leadership to the path of justice and fairness. Your modern authority is a huge asset and we deeply appreciate you, sir.

“We also believe Sir, that from the remarks you made just now, that our country at this critical time requires intervention from people like you who are tested and who have in the past intervened and helped us to find solutions to our problems. We believe you won’t be tired, we also need an intervention at this critical time.

“Like you said, many Nigerians are losing hope and they have been very cautious about the future but like I said, we are going through difficulties because of what happened in the past and right now we have a President who is determined and focused and ready to take the country to a greater height and I have no doubt, with your intervention and prayers, our President will certainly get it right.

“So far, Mr President has taken some very important steps towards moving our country forward but most of these steps are things that might be difficult at this critical time because they are major reforms we need; both economic reforms, as well as social reforms and looking at some of the things that happened in the past hoping to connect them, we need some reforms that might be painful at this critical time but I have no doubt that in the nearest future, Nigeria will be better for all of us by the grace of God.

“So, we will continue to seek for your advice, for your wisdom, for your support and most importantly, for your prayers. We thank you for coming to Kaduna and we will continue to consult you for advice and wisdom, thank you,” he said.

He therefore pleaded with Nigerians to continue to pray to God for mercy because no one knows for how long the suffering would be.

He also underscored the importance of crying to God because it is only the commoners who are feeling the impact of the difficult time as those in power do not.

The General Overseer who also linked the difficult time to the current rate of the dollar to the naira among other challenges that Nigerians are passing through, assured that there will be solace at the end of the day, but Nigerians need to seek the face of the Lord that it is time for the wind of mercy and favour to blow on Nigeria.

Nigeria’s money in wrong hands, Adeboye laments

The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said that there is money in Nigeria but is in the wrong hands, assuring Nigerians that a wind of change will blow on naira and wealth will change hands this year.

Adeboye said this recently at the Special  Thanksgiving Service of the church held at the RCCG Headquarters, Throne of Grace Parish, Ebute Metta.

    Tagged: “Supernatural Enlargement.

He said: “Don’t let anybody tell you money is not in this country, it’s just that it is in the wrong hands. This year, wealth will change hands. The wind is going to blow on the naira. Take my word for it”

“Long before the end of this year, you will know that you are on the mountaintop. Some will start the year as nobody, but before the end of the year, they will be somebody.

“If you do anything you can to serve God, he will not only reposition you, he will lift you to the mountaintop.”

    • God will do great things this year, PFN tells Nigerians

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said things will get worse before they get better this year.

But the popular cleric urged Nigerians not to lose hope.

Adeboye stated this in his first message of the year at the Redemption City on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.

The cleric noted that many others had given prophecies for the new year, insisting that “what God says is not what you want to hear”.

He said it was important to give the prophecy so people could prepare ahead of events.

“When a person jumps from a storey building, the injury will not be as much as somebody who is pushed because the person who jumps will prepare for it.

“Everything God is saying rally around one little sentence which I heard from those who were dramatising earlier though they don’t know what they were saying. You can write this in capital letters: the wind is blowing,” Adeboye said.

In summarising his message for the new year, he added: “The wind is blowing. Include in your prayer that it will blow you good. As far as Nigeria is concerned, things will get worse before they get better. Mark my word. That is what ‘Daddy’ says. We are already complaining that things are worse.

“The good news is that the wind is already blowing. It’s going to get hotter before it cools down. That is what ‘Daddy’ told me. That is not what I would love to tell you.

“You know the elders have a proverb: if the wind blows, you will see the anus of the chicken. I think I better run away from prophecies concerning Nigeria.”

“Don’t lose hope. Sooner or later things will get better. Whether we like it or not, we will survive. Some people will start this year with nothing, but before the end of the year, they become significant.

“There will be many opportunities this year. Get ready for them. This is what they call insider information. You are hearing about it now before the opportunity begins to come.”

Also, the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Worldwide, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, has said this year will be troublesome.

But he assured Nigerians that they would survive it with prayers and obedience to God’s commands.

In his New Year message during the cross-over service, the cleric said the new year would be hydra-headed with plenty to rejoice about and plenty to worry about.

“All the events of 2023 will dovetail into 2024 and, if you could survive 2023, you will survive 2024,” he said.

Olukoya tagged 2024 as the Year of Open Doors and Divine Speed, which he picked from Revelations 3:7–8 and Genesis  24:12.

According to him, 2024 is a troublesome year, but not as bad as 2023.

The MFM general overseer advised fellow Christians to increase their prayers in the new year.

“If you reduce the temperature of your prayer fire, you lose it. You should get your spiritual life on serious fire. Do an overkill with your prayers,” he said.

Olukoya warned Nigerians not to do trial and error in their activities but ask God for directions this year.

Also, the Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, Most Rev. Alfred Adewale Martins, has urged the Federal Government and the nation’s political leaders to focus on economic policies that will help to rejig the economy and bring solace to the impoverished masses in the new year.

In his New Year message in Lagos by the church’s Director of Social Communications, Rev. Fr. Anthony Godono, the bishop recalled that 2023, being an election year with all its controversies, was characterised by untold hardship for millions of Nigerians due to the high cost of essential commodities.

He urged the government to make efforts at using the nation’s resources available to make policies that would alleviate the hardship among millions of Nigerians.

“The increase in the pump price of petroleum products and the drastic loss in the value of the naira, among other factors, have grossly affected the purchasing power of Nigerians.

“They are finding it difficult to keep their heads above water. This, along with the insecurity in the country, has led many of the best brains in the country to being sucked out of the country as they yield to the Japa syndrome.

“Those of us who remain are struggling to breathe, as they say. This is unacceptable.

“Government must listen to the cries of Nigerians,” he said.

Also, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has assured Nigerians that God would do great things in the country this year.

In a message by its National President, Bishop Wale Oke, the fellowship said: “…No matter what happened in the past, the Lord saw us through and now we are here. We should have a heart for gratitude and sincerely give thanks to God for His mercy and grace. Were it not for God’s mercy, we would have been like Sodom; we would have been as Gomorrah. We are thankful.

“The new year holds a promise of great opportunities: opportunities for a rebirth, opportunities for new things, opportunities for prosperity, and opportunities for greatness.

“God has said in His word: ‘Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now, it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.’ Isaiah 43:18-19.

“May we, individually and as a nation, know and experience the new and great things that the Lord shall do in this new year, as we take advantage of the amazing opportunities that this year offers.”
