  • Seyi Tinubu beacon of hope for youths, says Klinsmann

Seyi Tinubu beacon of hope for youths, says Klinsmann

Renowned APC stalwart and policy analyst from Anambra State, Pharmacist Ikeagwuonwu Chinedu Klinsmann, has showered glowing commendations on Seyi Tinubu, describing him as “a symbol of visionary youth leadership and an unrelenting champion of Nigeria’s next generation.”

In a statement in Abuja, Klinsmann emphasized that Seyi Tinubu’s interventions in youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement reflect a rare blend of entrepreneurial drive and humanitarian compassion that Nigeria urgently needs at this critical point in its development.

According to Klinsmann, Seyi Tinubu has demonstrated through his philanthropy and business initiatives that “leadership is not only about occupying public office, but about using influence, capacity, and vision to transform lives.”

He highlighted that through the Noella Foundation, TELD NGO, Loatsad Promomedia, and the Renewed Hope Youth Initiative, Seyi Tinubu has touched countless lives across the country, breaking barriers of ethnicity, religion, and political affiliation to provide hope for Nigeria’s disadvantaged youth.

“What Seyi is doing is creating a blueprint for national transformation—he is showing young people that it is possible to rise above challenges, embrace innovation, and make meaningful contributions to society,” Klinsmann stated.

He noted that Seyi Tinubu’s scholarship programs, skill acquisition initiatives, sports sponsorships, and entrepreneurship hubs have all been carefully designed to address the most pressing challenges facing Nigeria’s youth—chief among them, unemployment, lack of access to quality education, and limited civic inclusion.

Klinsmann stressed that the impact is not only measurable in numbers, but also visible in the renewed confidence and aspirations of beneficiaries.

For instance, Loatsad Promomedia has created hundreds of jobs for young Nigerians while providing mentorship and business visibility for startups, while the Noella Foundation has awarded over 1,500 scholarships nationwide, enabling underprivileged youths to complete their education.

The APC Chieftain further explained that Seyi Tinubu’s efforts in civic engagement through the Renewed Hope Youth Initiative have been instrumental in bridging the generational gap in politics, bringing young Nigerians closer to governance structures and policy discussions.

With over 15,000 youths reached through civic education and dialogue programs, the initiative, Klinsmann said, has positioned Seyi as “a unifier who believes that young people must not only be beneficiaries of governance but active shapers of it.”

He added that Seyi Tinubu’s ability to engage across party divides—as demonstrated during the inter-party dialogue events and community outreach programs, especially in Kano State during the last period of Ramadan—reveals his deep commitment to unity and peacebuilding in Nigeria.

Klinsmann also praised Seyi Tinubu’s vision in embracing sports and creative industry development as tools of empowerment. By sponsoring tournaments, building training facilities, and supporting young talents, Seyi has provided thousands of Nigerian youths with opportunities to channel their energy productively and pursue excellence.

“Sports and entertainment are not mere pastimes; they are industries that can generate employment, foster unity, and build a culture of discipline and perseverance. Seyi understands this, and his interventions have already begun to yield results,” Klinsmann remarked.

Reflecting on Seyi Tinubu’s entrepreneurial leadership, Klinsmann pointed out that as CEO of Loatsad Promomedia, Seyi has built not only a thriving business but also an environment that prioritizes youth-centric innovation. The company, he said, is a model of how corporate organizations can drive national development by investing in young talent and giving them platforms to excel. “Loatsad has become more than a business—it is a talent incubator, a launchpad for the future leaders of Nigeria’s creative and digital economy,” Klinsmann observed.

On the philanthropic front, Klinsmann hailed the Noella Foundation as a testimony to Seyi Tinubu’s compassion and commitment to uplifting the marginalized. From providing scholarships and healthcare support to widows and orphans, to building community infrastructure and vocational centers, the foundation has brought hope to countless Nigerian households. Similarly, through TELD NGO, Seyi has sustained youth-focused initiatives for nearly two decades, equipping young Nigerians with practical skills in areas such as IT, agriculture, and renewable energy, and then offering seed funding for them to start businesses.

Klinsmann stressed that these efforts have produced tangible results, citing the establishment of over 200 youth-owned businesses and the creation of an estimated 1,800 jobs as evidence of Seyi Tinubu’s practical approach to tackling unemployment. “When others only talk about what government should do, Seyi is quietly doing it. He is investing in human capital, building entrepreneurs, and creating platforms that outlive political cycles,” Klinsmann emphasized.

He described Seyi Tinubu as a rare role model for young Nigerians, someone who, despite being born into privilege, has chosen the path of responsibility, compassion, and nation-building. According to Klinsmann, “It is easy for the children of political leaders to live off their parents’ legacies, but Seyi has gone beyond that—he is carving his own legacy, and it is a legacy of empowerment, unity, and hope.” He added that Seyi Tinubu’s humility, accessibility, and passion for youth issues have earned him widespread admiration across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

Looking ahead, Klinsmann called for greater support for Seyi Tinubu’s initiatives, noting that the scale of Nigeria’s youth challenges requires collective action. He urged the private sector, civil society, and government agencies to partner with Seyi in expanding the geographical reach of his programs, especially in regions like the Northeast and Southeast where youth unemployment remains high. He lauded Seyi’s future plans to establish permanent youth development centers, integrate digital innovation into training programs, and strengthen partnerships with international organizations.

Klinsmann affirmed that Nigeria stands to gain immensely from leaders like Seyi Tinubu, who embody the values of service, innovation, and inclusiveness.

“In Seyi, Nigerian youth have found a leader who understands their struggles, shares their dreams, and is working tirelessly to create opportunities for their success. He is a bridge between generations, a builder of futures, and a symbol of the Nigeria we all aspire to see. I am proud, as an APC stakeholder and as a Nigerian, to celebrate him,” Klinsmann said.

Seyi Tinubu and sirens of hypocrisy

Sir: The Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, is a pope that clearly has a soft spot for Nigeria. It will be no surprise if he visits the country within the next one year. Immediately he was announced elected as the Supreme Pontiff, fact-checkers dug out pictures showing his previous trips and engagements in Nigeria, a country he has visited no less than ten times previously to commune with the Augustinian order to which he belongs.

Thus, during his inauguration on May 18, it came as little surprise that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was invited to attend, an invitation that was graciously and elatedly accepted by the presidency even if many Nigerians were quick to pour scorn.

At the inauguration, the president had the opportunity to greet the Supreme Pontiff, an honour extended only to heads of states. Many Nigerians have unsurprisingly picked up the moment the president’s son, Seyi Tinubu, was politely redirected by Vatican protocol as his father greeted the president.

For all his flaws and foibles, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains a master political strategist who knows how to build social and political capital from the kind of raw materials that repulses others. In less than two years as president of Nigeria, he has shown that his brand of politics, which is far more inclusive than any of his predecessors, is just what a bitterly divided country, riven apart by divisive politics, needs.

His recent visit to Anambra State where he broke a 13-year jinx, becoming the first sitting president to visit the state since 2012, was an opportunity to hold out a hand to a state that has been calculatedly cold towards the centre for more than a decade now. It was also an opportunity for President Tinubu to make a statement in the home state of Peter Obi, his direct rival and most formidable opponent, who is wildly loved by many Nigerians. Tinubu masterfully achieved both.

In many ways, Seyi Tinubu is the spitting image of his father. Controversial, conversational and painstakingly strategic, he appears to have mastered the art which has made his father Nigeria’s most powerful politician today, guiding him through many years of trials and tribulations to Nigeria’s highest seat.

For all his baggage, and he will do well to watch it, Seyi Tinubu brings the same clarity of purpose his father brings to politics. But the most endearing trait he has taken from his father is his ability to build political bridges while pulling down political walls.

Nigeria’s situation today is a fallout of the kind of noxious politics played in the country since independence. It is why it is so important for Nigerians to encourage and engage in political participation to change the narrative.

Much of the criticism directed at Seyi Tinubu seems to revolve around the fact that he marches in lockstep with his father. There has been much misplaced rejoicing over the fact that he appears to have been snubbed by Vatican protocol when he tried to greet the pope. But no one can blame him for being too eager to greet the pope, who is easily one of the most powerful people on earth.

It is an opportunity he may never get again. Moreover, while Nigeria’s presidency should never be reduced to a family affair, there is nothing wrong with a son accompanying his father who is the president of a country on engagements at home or abroad. Familial relationships which transverse a lifetime cannot and should not cease, or be suspended, because of a presidency which has a maximum lifespan of eight years.

It is the height of hypocrisy for anyone to criticise Seyi Tinubu because he shadows his father, the president, or to criticise President Tinubu for always allowing a son who is very much like him to stand by him as he confronts the monstrous challenge of leading Nigeria as president. Even the Bible says that a son knows his father.

It is scandalous to criticise people based on family and religion alone. Should Seyi Tinubu stop being a son to his father simply because his father is president, or should President Tinubu cease to have anything to do with his first son simply because he is now president?

It is time for cynics and critics to sheathe their swords, lest they find themselves handling the sharp hooks of hypocrisy.

  • Media attacks on Seyi Tinubu affront on youths, less privileged – Balami

Media attacks on Seyi Tinubu affront on youths, less privileged – Balami

An All Progressives Congress(APC) chieftain and youth advocate, Comrade Isaac Balami has condemned the constant attacks on Seyi Tinubu, son of the President.

He stated that an attack on him should be seen as an attack on youths and the less privileged who he said Tinubu has dedicated his time to the protection of their rights and privileges.

Balami, who referenced the recent video of Seyi Tinubu when he accompanied President Bola Tinubu to Rome for the inauguration of the Pope said most of such narratives were aimed at debasing Seyi.

He  urged youths to rise against individuals who have been contracted to construct narratives meant to continuously disparage Seyi Tinubu despite his good intentions.

Faulting the nature of politics which aims to target individuals considered to be gaining popularity in the political space, Balami said: “Such is clear politics of bitterness aimed to pull individuals down for the interests they tend to protect. I don’t know why some people are only interested in pulling someone down so as to gain relevance. One doesn’t need to disparage someone or manipulate narratives to succeed. I advise those with the “Pull Him Down” syndrome to know that they can still succeed without necessarily trying to pull others down.”

He recalled how in one month, Seyi Tinubu was the target of different online bullies, referencing the incident of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, factional President who later apologized to him.

The former spokesman for the Trade Union Congress (TUC) further said no month will pass without traducers dragging him on social media.

Dismissing the video that Seyi Tinubu was stopped from having a handshake with the Pope, Balami said from his observation,  the young man was never going to have any handshake in the first place.

“From the video, it is clear that Seyi Tinubu was only going to join his dad after the handshake and was simply directed to meet him on the other exit as they were about to exit the place. How someone will just sit down to initiate this narrative is beyond me.

“How do you conclude on what you have no empirical evidence to prove? How does mere protocol define someone’s intention? Those peddling this must stop now.”

“I believe the growing popularity of Mr. Tinubu whom it has been suggested is eyeing the governorship seat in Lagos in the next election has been giving some people sleepless nights. Such individuals would do anything to demarket him. But then, it is too late. Already, Mr. Tinubu is loved by young people. The level of investment on Nigerian youths remains unprecedented and Nigerian youths won’t abandon him when he needs them.”

Balami said Seyi Tinubu is a role model to many young people based on his responsible lifestyle.

According to him:” We have seen cases when a president’s son and other dignitaries who escorted past presidents to such an event were engrossed in frivolity as against participating in what actually took them there.”

“Some will go to nightclubs, drink and party away. But we all saw how Seyi, not minding anything travelled with his father and stayed glued till the end. Many young people won’t have the time for this and would deliberately avoid the trip because it is not about partying and others. I believe Seyi Tinubu is a unifier and has the capacity to unite young Nigerians.

“What should bother young Nigerians is the level of support from Seyi Tinubu and his foundation,

“I believe the record is there for everyone to see. Seyi Tinubu’s support for young people knows no bounds.”

While cautioning young people against  social media bullying, the APC chieftain wondered if the privileged Seyi Tinubu can go through this type of online bullying, then what becomes of the ordinary youth who aspires for bigger and better offices in future.

He called on Nigerian youths to form a formidable force against those waiting to see the downfall of Seyi Tinubu.

“If at this time that the world is moving at such a speedy pace we are still talking about a handshake, then we have a long way to go.

“While seyi is investing in the Nigerian youths through his numerous positive engagements, michieve makers are rather investing on media propaganda to discourage the good young man,” Balami said.

NANS urges Seyi Tinubu to remain focused, ignore critics

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has called on Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to remain committed to his service to humanity and not be swayed by criticism.

In a statement signed by NANS Senate President, Usman Adamu Nagwza, the student body advised Seyi to ignore what it described as the distractions of political jobbers and clout-chanmmsers intent on derailing his noble mission.

Nagwza noted that while the voices of mischief may be loud, they lack substance and are undeserving of any dignified response.

“The brilliance of a man whose heart beats for the people cannot be dimmed by naysayers,” the statement added.

He said, “You cannot rewrite the truth with propaganda, nor can you derail a destiny anchored in service and goodwill. Mr. Seyi Tinubu has immortalized his name while still living and has done so while shaping destinies, uplifting lives, and creating legacies that will outlive transient controversies.

“On behalf of millions of Nigerian students across the federation, we say: thank you for being a light in a generation that desperately needs it. Continue your good works, for history shall be kind to you.”

The statement reads, “The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) wishes to unequivocally express its dismay at the recent wave of unprovoked vilification and media blackmail targeted at Mr. Seyi Tinubu, a man whose contributions to youth development, humanitarian advancement, and nation-building have been nothing short of laudable.

“It is indeed a paradox of our time that in a society where those who selflessly commit their lives to service ought to be venerated, they are instead subjected to cynical disparagement. Life, as we know it, often thrives in contradiction and it is profoundly regrettable that a man like Seyi Tinubu, who has consistently embodied humility, benevolence, and sacrifice, is being mischaracterized by individuals whose only stock-in-trade is misinformation and mischief-making.

“It defies logic that Mr. Seyi Tinubu, whose mere status could have entitled him to the trappings of privilege and aloofness, has instead consciously chosen the path of accessibility, humility, and philanthropic investment in the lives of ordinary Nigerians. Rather than recline in the ceremonial glory of the presidency’s corridors, he has stooped to serve, lifted others, and become a beacon of hope for thousands of young people.

“To now see such a man being castigated for acts of compassion is both shameful and intellectually dishonest.

“We are, therefore, compelled at the highest level of student leadership, to set the record straight: the internal brouhaha involving Isah Abubakar and the leadership of NANS is a purely domestic affair within the organization. It bears absolutely no correlation, linkage, or implication involving Mr. Seyi Tinubu. Attempts to rope him into unrelated institutional politics are reckless, mischievous, and a desperate act of deflection by those who would rather destroy than build.

“Mr. Seyi Tinubu has, time and again, proven to be an altruist par excellence, a youth ambassador, a bridge-builder, a consistent friend of the Nigerian student community and the Nigerian youths at large. His passion for empowerment, his commitment to creating opportunities, and his spirit of generosity are virtues that deserve applause, not condemnation.”

Factional NANS president retracts allegations against Seyi Tinubu, issues public apology

Atiku Abubakar Isah, a factional president of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), has publicly withdrawn his earlier allegations against Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, admitting his claims were untrue.

In a viral video, Atiku had previously accused Seyi Tinubu and the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Ayodele Olawande, of inviting him to Lagos and offering him ₦100 million to support President Tinubu. He further claimed he rejected the offer and was subsequently abducted on April 15, 2025.

However, in a statement posted on his Facebook page on Wednesday, Atiku issued an apology to Seyi Tinubu, acknowledging that the story was fabricated.

He blamed the misinformation on one Ladoja Olusola, whom he accused of manipulating him in a bid to hijack leadership within the student body for personal gain.

He said, “In the video, I also alleged that, for what they considered my stubbornness to reject their #100,000,000, I was on the 15th of April 2025 abducted, stripped naked, and thoroughly beaten up, and in connivance with the MD of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), I was taken to the station where an involuntary statement purportedly abdicating my position as NANS President was obtained under duress.

“It has become imperative to note that the offer of N100,000,000, which was alleged was made to me to support President Tinubu, was clearly untrue as Ladoja Olusola, who was desperate to get me out of my legitimate position as the duly elected President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), fed me the lies and half truths for the sole purpose of achieving his selfish agenda of taking over the reigns of the student body through the back doors.

He said it was Ladoja who warned him in private that Tinubu’s son could kill him and order the police to bury the case. Among other allegations, which include the mobilisation of thugs by Tinubu to disrupt his inauguration.

“It was also Ladoja Olusola, who warned me that Mr Seyi Tinubu could order my killing and thereafter instruct the Inspector General of Police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun, to bury the matter.”

Isah also admitted his claim that Seyi Tinubu led thugs to the venue of his inauguration is false.

“I made these claims owing to the picture of Seyi Tinubu painted to me by Ladoja Olusola, who swore to me that Seyi was doing everything to ensure I am not alive to serve my tenure as NANS president.

“In fact, I later found out that Mr Seyi was nowhere near the venue,” Isah concluded.

Stop dragging Seyi Tinubu into NANS Affairs, group warns Atiku

The President, Coach Decorum Movement and the Director, West Africa Affairs of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Diaspora, Com. Joshua Olakunle, has warned the self-acclaimed President of the union, Atiku Isah to desist from dragging son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Seyi, into affairs of the union.

He lamented continued defamation and targeted propaganda against Seyi Tinubu, a private citizen, whose only known offense is his consistent support for youth and national development.

A statement by the NANS Diaspora Director declared that Seyi Tinubu has no affiliations with student unionism or any involvement in NANS leadership or operations, saying dragging his name into student politics is not only mischievous but a deliberate effort to destabilize the unity built in the student community.

He reaffirmed that the duly elected and recognised President of NANS is Comrade Olusola Oladoja, who emerged through a transparent and peaceful convention.

He said: “The leadership under Comrade Oladoja remains focused on its mandate to represent and defend the interests of Nigerian students across the globe.

“The unity and progress of NANS is our greatest strength, and it is this strength that threatens those who seek to divide us.

“If truly Atiku Isah and his political sponsors including their loud sympathizers like Omoyele Sowore, are not attempting to use student structures to cause national tension, then Seyi Tinubu’s name should not be part of their lies.”

He urged Atiku and his paymasters to desist from the underhanded tactics, saying Nigeria is growing stronger and more united under the current youth-focused administration, and will not allow desperate elements to drag it backward.

“His activities are nothing but a desperate attempt to make a living by being a puppet in the hands of some faceless political actors who are intent on creating distractions in the country.
