    Popular singer Simisola Kosoko aka Simi has engaged a troll who spoke ill of her forehead.

    The Nation reported that the mother of one recently clashed with music critics who urged her to switch up sounds.

    Simi posted a photo on Snapchat while having a session with a hairstylist.

    Sharing the photo of the hairstyle, she quizzed followers their take on whether or not she looked cute in it.

    “You like am?” she captioned the photo.

    A troll however responded, “See your forehead Mrs Kosoko.”

    Simi responded with patience, urging the troll to back off while she still had mood in check.

    “Don’t start what you can’t finish, hon,” she said.

    Singer Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, has lashed out over fans’ request to ‘switch Up’ her sound.

    The ‘Duduke’ crooner had shared a clip of her, singing one of her new songs via X platform and a fan quoted the post, asking her to change her style of music. 

    The fan with the handle @Zeebaby_X wrote: “Girlll switch it up a bit… change your sound.

    “Your hubby changes his sound and it’s amazing to see. Do the same you’re too good to be doing basic sh!t.”

    Other fans who took the comment section, concurred with her.

    Angered by the conversation sparked by her comment, Simi wrote: “Lol you people see I’m minding my business yea? Alright alright Zeebaby, talk to me. Tell me the last say… 10 songs I’ve put out and let’s dissect. Which ones sound the same? Then tell me how your faves are doing it different/better than me. Or perhaps u want me to change my genre? Or I should use more lamba? Or is it my voice? It’s too soft or sweet or sharp for you? I should swallow balloon for diversity? We’re not fighting. I honestly want your feedback. Direct me. Help me Zeebaby.”

    In another thread, the singer urged those who do not like her songs to listen to other musicians.

    She explained that British superstar Adele does the same style of music but her fans do not complain.

    She wrote: “Omo because I’m doing girl next door, some of you think maybe I’m ok like that. If you don’t like my song, please go and listen to your faves. I’m begging. If it’s the features you want to allow yourself acknowledge my talent, hear that one and be going.

    “Na the same ballad Adele dey sing all these days, her people no disturb am. E fi mi sile. If you don’t like what I’m selling, go and listen to the one you like. Unless you don’t have data. And if you don’t have, owo e lo wa ku si.”

    Famous songstress, Simi Kosoko has replied to a social media user who criticised her latest song stating it was below expectation while tagging her as lazy.

    Simi released her first single of the year ‘All I Want’ last Friday. 

    Barely hours following the release of her new song, a critic, possibly a fan, shared an unsolicited review of her song, describing it as lazy.

    Singer-songwriter, Simi Kosoko, has explained why she supports cohabitation of intending couples before marriage.

    She argued by doing so, partners would get to know each other better before signing a forever deal. 

    Speaking in the latest episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, Simi revealed that she was cohabiting with her husband, Adekunle Gold before they got married.

    She said: “I used to go over to Adekunle Gold’s place for us to spend time together.

    “I am of the opinion that… Maybe I shouldn’t share this opinion because I feel like religious people might not agree with me. I personally think that people who want to get married should live together for a little bit before they do that. Because I don’t think you really know someone that you’re going to marry until you cohabit. The way someone is when they are outside in their best behaviour is different from how they are when they are cranky and they haven’t eaten or when they wake up in the morning or when they are snoring.

    “When you live with someone you know all the sides to them, that is when you really know if you can do forever with them. Millions of people have gotten married without living together. But I personally think it’s a good idea to cohabit before marriage. It doesn’t have to be for long.”

    Singer, Simisola Kosoko, has made a U-turn as she said she charges now for a song feature.

    Simi had recently stated that she doesn’t charge for a song feature on a podcast interview with media personality, Taymesan

    According to the mother of one, she’s selective of the kind of songs she features in and will only feature in the song if she really likes it.

    “Till this moment, I have never charged for a feature. For me to do a feature I have to really like it.

    “I have to like the song. If I like the song, give me half a day, I am done. If I don’t like the song I will most likely say no. It’s not personal. I can take a ‘No. Things are not personal, it’s just what it is,” she said.

    Issuing a disclaimer, she took to her X account to alert the public of the new normal.
