    How I met my husband on Facebook – Simi

    Sensational singer Simisola Kosoko has opened up on how she met her husband, Adekunle Gold in a live session with media personality, Taymesan

    According to the singer, Adekunle Gold reached out to her on Facebook but she didn’t respond to the chat because she thought he was a fan.

    She said: “I didn’t know my husband was singing when I met him because I already said I cannot marry a singer. I thought he was even a fan. 

    He used to do this ‘King of Photoshop’ that time’. “He sent me a message on Facebook but I never saw it nor did I reply,” she said.

    Simi declared that her goal is to fight for women’s right to choose whatever they want to do, without being under duress or doing so out of fear.

    “If you want to be the most submissive woman in the world, that’s your choice, or you want to be a slay mama, it’s all for you,” she added.

    Simi hinted that she will be dropping a new album sooner than later.

    The mother of one spoke on feminism during her recent interview on the Tea With Tea podcast hosted by media personality, Taymesan

    Simi emphasised the essence of freedom of choice for women, expressing that, as a feminist, her primary goal is to advocate for women’s rights to make choices.

    She stressed that the choices should not be influenced by duress, fear, or societal expectations. Adding that the importance of women having the autonomy to genuinely choose their paths in life is paramount.

    In her words: “As a feminist, my goal is to fight for the woman’s right to choose not under duress, not out of fear, not because they think that’s what they have to do, but genuinely choose what they do. If you want to be a stay at home mum, let it be your choice. 

    “If you want to be the most submissive wife in the world, let it be your choice. If you wanna be a slay mama, let it be your choice …I feel like that’s the only way it’s genuine.”

    The mother of one who is married to fellow singer, Adekunle Gold, revealed this on the latest episode of Tea with Tay posted by media personality Taymesan.

    Simi said she did not know Adekunle was a musician when she met him.

    Simi had stated that even though she didn’t know Adekunle was a musician, they started dating because he “was a really nice guy.”

     “Y’all need to let your firstborns breathe. They came first does not mean they should carry everybody’s load,” Simi said.

     The award-winning artist expressed concern that many firstborns might not even like their siblings anymore due to constant pressure for financial needs.

    According to Simi, Nigerians participating in verbal altercations do so with the primary objective of winning.

    She asserted that, given the expressive nature of Nigerians, the only contender in such exchanges is usually another Nigerian.

    The singer recalled an incident where someone labelled another person a nympho and questioned if they understood the word’s meaning.

    She added that in verbal disputes, a Nigerian who is reluctant to fight would still come out on top.

    Simi emphasized that once they finish teasing or mocking you, they would shift their focus to your parents.

    Distancing herself from such people, she stated that there comes a time in life when one has to use one’s senses and there is no excuse.

    Simi reacted to the assumptions made by fans after watching a video where she and her colleague Spyro were vibing to their new collaboration.

    The duo showcased their chemistry in a teaser for their upcoming song, “Only Fine Girl Remix,” set to release on Friday, December 15.

    However, the video prompted speculation about her being pregnant due to her protruding tummy.
