    Alaibe gets priceless gift

IT was a joyous day for businessman Timi Alaibe on Friday, June 10, as he marked his 60th birthday with family, friends and associates.

At the ceremony, former President Olusegun Obasanjo presented a book to Alaibe. According to the elder statesman, the book was written by Alaibe’s 29 friends, and they gave him the honour to present it on his birthday.

Although Obasanjo did not give names, Atedo Peterside, CEO of Air Peace- Allen Onyema, Musa Danjuma, Shola Jeremi, Scott Tommy, Terry Waya, Aliko Dangote, Olumide Akpata, Julie Pinnick, Donald Duke, Chief James Ibori, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, and Tony Elemelu attended the party.

An exciting part of the birthday gig was the dance session with his daughter, Ebitimi, who got married in 2018. She appeared to be a better dancer but Alaibe did his best to replicate all her moves. It was such an adorable moment, which also gave hints of the bond they shared.

Alaibe would have wished his wife, Augustina Alaere, was there to experience the occasion. But lung cancer took her away on January 31, 2009, after a long battle.
