  • Expectations as Kumuyi storms Aba for deliverance, healing

Over 100, 000 persons from Abia State and neighbouring South-East and South-South states of the country are expected to be in Aba, the commercial hub of Abia State, as the General Superintendent (GS) of the Deeper Life Christian Ministry (DLCM), Worldwide, Pastor Dr. William Folorunso Kumuyi, visits the city for a day crusade.

The event titled “A day to change your world”; is scheduled to hold at the Enyimba Stadium on Sunday, October 9 by 8am.

The State Overseer of DLCM, Pastor Damian C. Umeh in a press briefing yesterday, Saturday at the church’s camp ground off Enugu-Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway, said the combined church service will provide avenue for people to receive both physical and spiritual impartation of the Word of God through the teachings and prayers of Kumuyi.

Umeh said the choice for Enyimba International Stadium was because of its strategic location and accessibility, hoping that it was going to provide people with the opportunity of increased participation.

According to him, “the programme is designed to focus on providing men with their physical and spiritual needs. The man of God is coming to plant in Abia State where he came to harvest soul for Christ. Abia has been fertile and fruitful ground in terms of evangelism. And there is the need for the man of God to meet the spiritual needs of Abians which has accounted for the continued visit of our General Overseer to the state and until these spiritual needs of they are met, hence his persistent visit.” “I urge the people of the state to take advantage of this glorious liberation service to get the blessings of the Lord in the area of salvation, healing, deliverance and sound teaching of God’s word that brings solution to all life circumstances. People should not allow denominational bias to prevent them from attending this great and life transforming service.”

Crusade: Kumuyi to connect Rivers to God

The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor Williams Folorunsho Kumuyi, will use his visit to Rivers State on October 2 to connect the state and those who will attend the one-day crusade, with the power of God, state’s Overseer of the church, Pastor Edison Daminabo, has.

Daminabo addressed reporters yesterday in Port Harcourt, the state capital, at the church’s headquarters.

Pastor Kumuyi, who was in Port Harcourt early last month, will return for the crusade, with the theme: Connected in Rivers, at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium at Igwuruta.

Daminabo said the crusade would connect Rivers State with God’s power and engender peace, happiness and harmony.

The cleric said the challenges facing the state and its residents would be defeated as soon as the state was connected to divine power.

He added that kidnapping, killings and other prevalent crimes would become history after the crusade.

According to him, there is darkness everywhere, and this requires light for the people to be freed.

Daminabo said Rivers State, and those who will attend the crusade, would regain their liberty.

The cleric advised residents and others in its environs to attend the crusade for their liberation from satanic bondage.

On the challenges facing the nation, Daminabo said Pastor Kumuyi was praying for Nigeria, like many Nigerians were making sacrifices for the nation to find its feet again.

Kumuyi urges Wike to remain committed to development

The General Superintendent of Deeper Life Christian Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has urged Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, to remain committed to the development of the state, while assuring that the church will continue to back him in prayers.

Pastor Kumuyi, who spoke yesterday during a courtesy visit to the Government House, Port Harcourt, admonished Wike never to be distracted in his pursuit of development for the state.

He disclosed that he was in Rivers to bring divine solutions to human problems, assuring that the state would overcome its challenges to be a leading light in the country.

The cleric noted that because the Rivers government had honoured God, it would get divine visitation that would address all the challenges that the people of the state were facing.

Pastor Kumuyi said: “The challenges we face are temporal. God will use us to bring a time of peace and security to the state.”

The renowned cleric also gave an assurance that the future was bright for Rivers and other states of Nigeria, stressing that the present challenges would also pass away.

In his response, Wike declared that Rivers was dedicated to God, who he said had been faithful to the state, in spite of the evil machinations of the enemies of Rivers.

He noted that the visit of the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Christian Ministry to Rivers State would attract spiritual blessings to the state and help Rivers attain further grace for rapid development.

He reiterated that his administration was anchored on God, who had protected his leadership from all ungodly attempts to pull it down since his May 29 last year’s inauguration.

Wike said: “Your coming to Rivers State will mark the end of our challenges. I know that God will do his work for this state.

“My administration is anchored on God. But for God, we would have been pulled down. God has been on our side.”

Highpoint of the visit of Pastor Kumuyi was his inspection of the new chapel nearing completion at the Government House, Port Harcourt.

  • Nigeria’ll come out of recession, says Kumuyi

Nigeria’ll come out of recession, says Kumuyi

General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry Pastor William Kumuyi yesterday

said Nigeria would come out of recession.

He kicked against the notion of the Islamisation of Nigeria, saying nobody can impose any religion on anyone in the country today.

Pastor Kumuyi, who is in Calabar for a crusade, said: “The information is now made public and official that this is the worst recession situation in Nigeria in the last 29 years. Well, as it affects the church, it also affects everyone. But there are things we still do in spite of the economy. Money is just a servant to man, and it is not supposed to be the master. There are things we keep doing even when the money is not there. I believe that we will come out of this recession.

“I would not be able to pinpoint one particular place where we got it wrong. Different situations brought us to this climax. So, we must have got it wrong somewhere but I cannot pin it to one.”

On islamisation, he said: “I think it depends on the will of the people. You cannot impose a religion on a country without the will of the people. Worshiping God is a personal thing. If I chose my way so will it be. If a country is said to be going through a process, if the people are asleep and they do not have any conviction, then it becomes easy for another person to impose what he feels he has on you. But the will of the people will not be easily overruled.”

On the alleged killing of Christians in the North, he said: “When we say alleged killing we will need to investigate well. Neither of the two dominant religions in Nigeria, Christianity and Islam, advocate the killing of neighbours. The love of our neighbour is key here and the Islamic religion came in through Abraham, so basically we are having the same great grand-grandparent. So, we should rethink and understand that it would be good to allow people to live together in peace and allow them to have their free will to choose how to worship.

“I am here basically to show the love of God to the people. We are saying that because God Almighty is still on the throne, we should not lose hope despite the hiccups in personal lives, family lives and the state of the nation.”

  • Nigeria will become better, says Kumuyi

Nigeria will become better, says Kumuyi

The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi has urged Nigerians to keep hope alive in God because Nigeria will become better.

Kumuyi made this known at a Special Sunday service organised by the church yesterday at the International Bible Training Centre, Ayobo, Lagos.

The programme had thousands of Christians from across the state, with the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Emmanuel Udom; and Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Justice Uwemedimo Nwoko present.

According to him, no matter the challenges, we need hope, and with hope, every thing will fall into place and Nigeria will become better.

He noted that the fight against corruption and other social upheavals begin with everyone and in our homes where righteousness, probity and godliness are given its pride of place.

He said “changes start with me and with you and when we all change for good, it will rub off on the country and we all will be better for it.

Earlier, Udom called on governments to rethink and provide strategies on diversification of the economy.

He said there is no developed nation that cannot feed its people. One step in development is the ability of the government to feed its people.

The cleric recalled that God did not create man until he created what he would eat, noting that there is so much we can get from the land.

He said we have viable lands and better climate conditions, thus a better and pragmatic framework on agriculture will help us revive our economy.

“I am the governor of one of the blessed states with good weather. We have a lot of cocoa, cassava, plantain, and our cocoa, cassava, plantain flavour is the best and we’ll make them more viable for the state”, he said.

He said agriculture was one of his five-point agenda, and it’s because of the need to look beyond oil.

While applauding Kumuyi in the promotion of peace and spiritual rejuvenation, he said “if we are praying this much and men of God sacrifice themselves for this country; I am sure, we will reach our promise land”.

He urged Nigerians to continue to pray for Nigeria because soon if we do not relent in our prayers we will sing a new song.

“I run the only state that is named after God. I pray for Akwa Ibom and Nigeria more than I pray for my children and I am sure God will answer our prayer”.

He added that we must shun corruption. Let us start with our individual lives. Telling lies is corruption because if you can tell lies, you can do anything. Let us have a sound structure to tackle corruption.

Ugwuanyi prays for Nigeria as Kumuyi visits Enugu

Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi yesterday offered special prayers for God’s intervention in the economic and social challenges facing the country.

The governor played the role of a cleric when he hosted the Founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William F. Kumuyi and his entourage at the Government House in Enugu.

Kumuyi told Ugwuanyi of the church’s leadership conference holding in the state.

The governor, in his supplication to God, asked for the wisdom, power and courage to continue to discharge his responsibilities effectively.

He said the conference was an opportunity to re-present to God the challenges facing the country under President Muhammadu Buhari and Enugu State under his leadership.

Urging members of the church to always remember Enugu State and the nation in prayers, Ugwuanyi, who reaffirmed his belief in the miracle of five loaves and two fish, expressed optimism that “miracles will begin to happen at the end of your stay here”.

The governor said God is the source of his position, adding that with prayers from the church and other residents, his administration would succeed.

He said: “God, our Father, all authority comes from You and You give leaders wisdom with which to govern Your people. You also strengthen them with power and courage. Lord, I ask for the wisdom, power and courage to be able to execute this office.

“All the challenges facing us, both as a state and as a nation, are known to You and we firmly believe that yYou will see us through, for You are our stronghold; without You, we can do nothing.”

Kumuyi thanked the governor for hosting his delegation, despite his tight schedule.

The cleric told the governor that he and his entourage were in Enugu for a pastoral visit, which would enable the church transmit God’s messages to Africa and other parts of the world.Enugu (2)

    Kumuyi: Bello’s emergence purpose-driven

The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry worldwide, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, has said the emergence of Yahaya Bello as the Kogi State Governor was orchestrated by God for a purpose.

Pastor Kumuyi spoke yesterday when he visited the Government House, Lokoja. He urged the people to pray and support the governor to enable him fulfil the plans of God for the state.

The man of God was received by Deputy Governor Simon Achuba, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Edward Onoja, Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Mrs. Ayoade Folashade Arike, and others.

Pastor Kumuyi said he was in the state for a one-day crusade “Night of Miracle Explosion”, which according to him, would bring down the mighty power of God upon the people.

“I believe that our coming here will be a great blessing. We rejoice with our governor, how God himself providentially brought him into power at such a time as this, for a purpose and that purpose he will fulfill.

“I pray that his time will witness peace, progress and prosperity for Kogi. As we rally round him with supports and prayers, I believe that by the time he finishes his term or terms, we will look back on the challenges we all seem to have and thank God he was the one at the helms of affairs,” Kumuyi said.

He urged Bello and his cabinet to be transparent and conduct the affairs of the state with the fear of God.

Speaking at the reception, Bello described the visit of Pastor Kumuyi as wonderful and a dream come true for himself and people

“I say this because this a holy month, and receiving a holy man of God from the Christian faith in this holy month of Ramadan is indeed a wonderful day. This is a man God I have always dreamt to meet. Why did I say that, because when I was in the primary school, I read one of his books “Examine Yourself” and from that moment, I have always examined myself in everything I do,” he said.

The governor was confident that Kumuyi’s visit and prayers would bring down blessings and address the challenges bedeviling the state.

The crusade, which attracted mammoth crowd at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium, recorded spectacular healing miracles and salvation.

Nigeria’ll recover from current woes, says Kumuyi

The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, has said Nigerians should not panic because of the current socio-economic and security challenges.

The popular cleric said the nation would soon overcome them and become better.

Pastor Kumuyi spoke yesterday in Warri, Delta State, ahead of his one-day bible study programme in the city.

The cleric urged the Federal Government to dialogue with Niger Delta stakeholders to end renewed militancy in the region.

He said all hands must be on the deck to work for Nigeria’s progress and fight against its division.

The preacher noted that the need for the nation’s restructuring should not lead to its division.

Patror Kumuyi said: “We should not worry ourselves too much on the issue. We should rather think of how we can move the country forward because too much talk about restructuring does not mean Nigeria will break up.

“The solution is that we should begin to dialogue. Stakeholders should reason together and see the way forward, instead of accusing one another. What we are interested in is how to solve the problem. What are the expectations of both sides so that we can move forward?”

He said comments by Nigerians on the economic situation were normal, adding that they were indications that the country deserved better than the realities on the ground.

“The reason people are commenting is because Nigeria deserves to be better. The economy has been low, but we are getting out of it. With prayers, I know we will get better,” Pastor Kumuyi said.
